Mark Rothko. Or Klimt because I love the way he seems the woman. And then I like strange Flemish Renaissance painters -namely Hieronymus Bosch and Bruegel the Elder because I always find something unsettling about their paintings. But still, Mark Rothko.

I have a really cool art history books called On n'y voit rien (You don't see anything) by Daniel Arasse, it's funny, witty, completely enchanting and makes you see visual arts in a new way. You should check it out if you manage to find it.

    I'm a Cubism/Expressionism fangirl.

Picasso, I love Picasso. His French counterpart Georges was also very good. Van Gogh, naturally.

    The Pre-Raphelites also fascinate me.

Off the top of my head, Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and Audrey Kawasaki are my top favourites all because I adore the way they paint/draw their women, they're so beautiful but they all have a slightly disturbing edge to them. I love Alan Lee as well, he was one of the lead concept artists for the Lord Of The Rings films, he's also illustrated the books. And the pre-Raphaelites are breathtaking, I've got a few more.

And then there are loads of paintings on their own I love. April Love. She is my favorite pre raph. There is a painting of a child Jesus in a carpenters with a bleeding finger. I'm no Christian, but I love that painting. And then there's the one with a woman sat by a piano.
    I'm a proper art lovey. (:
