I want so badly to do PC gaming...but I don't think my poor old laptop can handle much of the graphics of a lot of the games. Despite the fact, I have Steam and have played Portal and Portal 2. I'm currently considering buying Final Fantasy VII off of Steam just because they have it and I've always wanted to play it. I also REALLY want to get into League of Legends because a friend of mine plays and I'd really love to see what the hype is all about. Plus all the regular games people have been playing: Assassin's Creed, Half Life, Bioshock, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Skyrim, etc.

Otherwise, the only real gaming console I use recently is my Nintendo 3DS. It was meant primarily for getting Pokemon X later in Octobuer but after getting Animal Crossing New Leaf, I started to consider playing other games. As such, I've started playing Fire Emblem: Awakening (so good, holy shit), Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and am going to give Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate another go tomorrow (I downloaded a demo but kept failing the quest ;~;).

We have many other consoles in the house - Wii and Wii U, Xbox 360 with Kinect, older versions of the DS (DSi and DS; think we sold the DS Lite), Gamecube, an old N64 in a cabinet, and hell probably our old Dreamcast - but they're mostly in my brother's room so I usually don't play them unless he asks me to play something with him.

I'm not much into games as I used to be. I own a Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Wii, Game Boy Adavance SP, DS Lite, DSi, 3DS, Playstation 2, and Sega Genesis. I used to own the original Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Pocket, Nintendo, and Playstation, but the last two broke or something and the others I sold. I also think I have an Atari Flashback somewhere (I believe that's what it was called). My siblings also have 2 Xbox 360s, game boys, DSi, 2DS and 3DS. So we all pretty much like games.

I have pretty much every Pokemon game, Sims, Mario games, and GTA games. I also have quite a few RockBand/Guitar Hero games.

My all time favorite game is probably GTA series (not including the first 2). I also love Twisted Metal 4 for some reason. I also can't forget about Mario Kart and Mario Party series. Or Donkey Kong Country. Or Crash Bandicoot games. Or Pokemon. I like a lot of games...

What sucks is that some of my games actually came up missing. (pretty sure my brother sold them). It was mostly SNES and N64 games though.

I can't wait for Blade & Soul to come out!

I used to game a lot more frequently during school.

    All-time favourite: Red Dead Redemption.

Runescape, back during school days, was a main reason for the deterioration of my eyesight along with the fact that I couldn't sleep without a light on and stayed up until ridiculous hours even as a young child.
But it was an absolutely amazing game at the time. I believe it's called 'Old Runescape' now.
I was legitimately addicted to the point where I'd choose playing Runescape over meeting up with friends far too often.

So I have a soft spot from MMORPGs due to Runescape.
My brother and I often did the Quests together and I remember making friends with some peeps from school who also played - we'd go to each other's Player Houses on there to party and box in the boxing ring etc.
My God, it was so fun.

I currently play Real Racing 3, GTA5, Just Dance 4, Horse Isle 2, LoZ: Skyward Sword, Go Vacation and Sims 3 now and then. I can't really stick at a game while playing on the big TV upstairs (where Xbox and Wii are) without getting a headache within an hour or so. I have Skyrim and Okami but can't keep my interest with them for long at a time.

I've played LoZ: Twilight Princess, Project Zero 2, Resident Evil games and older GTA/Sim games with friends who owned them in the past.

I also have Nintendogs, Home on the Range, Lion King, AC: Wild World, Pippa Funnel, Dogz, most Pokemon games, Drawn to Life and more for Nintendo DS but completed them long ago.

    -

My friend and I used to really get stuck into Mario Kart Online and Animal Crossing DS/Wii! But then, of course, Nintendo cut the WiFi option which basically took away our reason for playing after we'd already completed the games.

Mario Kart Wii on-line...good times, good times. We'd blame our foul luck on 'Muffin Man' because we needed something/someone to moan at whenever the random picker chose Rainbow Road (so boring) or Moonview Highway (so annoying).
Then there'd be the occasional hacker who obliterated nearly everyone, the trick to win easy on Grumble Volcano (which we also used but it was still a competition trying to get on first before the others) and literally just beating one guy being Funky Kong on a manual Bowser Bike manual (just like me) about 16 times was a highlight - he did win twice though to be fair.
    lmfao

    Those were the days.

GBA/DS Pokemon's just a whole 'nother story. The PS2 also! So many good games on the PS2, there were. Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet & Clank, Gallop Racer II, Dog's Life, London Racer (or was that PC?), Singstar Party, Eyetoy: Play, Shrek, Narnia etc.

On the PC I had many games I loved as a child too, such as dad's Tomb Raider (the farting butler, oh my), Leap Frog, this random Pimp My Car game (lol) and that Zoo/JCB Operator game. Can't remember their names, sadly.
But Dogz 4 was my life. I finally had my two Dalmatians fall in love (guess which movie inspired me there) and they were just about to have pups; I was thrilled!
Then mum totally killed it when she wiped it from the computer because there was a virus or something. I died inside.

OR~, and this is my latest obsession - Tabletop Gaming (RPGs). This varies from Dungeons & Dragons - which I fully admit to spending every spare penny on, lately...and, am currently setting up a group with some friends. Our biggest problem is finding a GM. >_<
War-Hammer, Axis&Allies, any other system...I'm obsessing over them all.
    ...
And if anyone does do table-top gaming, expect love.
My current obsession is Magic The Gathering. I can spend around $200 dollars on making a single deck deadly. Currently I'm working on my Zombie deck

Hi, I'm gonna jump into this thread.

I never considered myself a 'gamer girl' but my first game console was a Sega. Like, the original old dinosaur of a machine that played the original Sonic The Hedgehog and whatnot. I was heartbroken when it broke a few years ago. I intend to buy another at some point. I never did beat the Sonic game. Or any of the other games I had for the damn thing.

I got a Nintendo DS Lite aged thirteen and still play it, featuring mostly various Pokemon games and occasionally Nintendogs, Brain Training, Harvest Moon, Professor Layton, Super Mario Brothers, among some others.

And I have a Wii with more Mario games, Just Dance: Disney, and a bunch of weird ones that my brother plays.

That's pretty much the extent of my gaming apart from, like... role-play writing and Sims... and board games. I love a good Scrabble tournament. Or Monopoly. Or Disney Trivial Pursuit.

Actually, to add to that, there was this game for PC that my best friend used to play ALL the time and I do not remember it. At all. But it looked really cool. I'm gonna have to ask her about it.

I didn't consider myself a big gaming girl either. My fiance is a huge gamer. He plays all the time. So until we got together I didn't do much of anything. No we play together all the time. I get competitive. We play with his friends online, and they are all way better than me, so most times I quit out of frustration. But we have game nights with out two best friends, and stay up all night playing monopoly and eating pizza. It's fun to play the old school games, and even if I'm not very good I still have a blast.

We just bought Black Ops Three and I love it! I want to play it more than he does. But never online Shocked I don't want to be talked down too by weirdos. So we play together or with his friends and it's fun. He also got me into Borderlands, Gears of War, we play Minecraft every once in a while. But I really like zombie shooting games.

Oh, God, I am terrible at any Xbox games. Both my cousin (who I frequently play Nintendo and Wii with -- we are yet to beat Spyro: Dawn Of The Dragons, and it's been years...) and my younger brother have attempted to teach me and it ends up an appalling disaster. Too many buttons! Too many ways to turn! I need my simple Sega with like four buttons and the directions of only forward and backward to return to me. :')

See I have a harder time playing video games (Other than ones such as Just Dance) on the Wii, I've played Mario on there and it's just to hard for me. I prefer the Xbox and the PlayStation controllers when playing a game like that. Just Dance is fun though ! Very Happy

It was so hard for me to pick up MarioKart a few years ago, I couldn't get the hang of it, but now I'm expert. I'm hoping my shoddy driving lessons will pick up in the same fashion. :')

I love Just Dance! It's probably a really cop-out way to keep fit, but it is hilarious.

I think I played MarioKart once on the Wii and gave up because it was really hard for me to control. Similar to when I was learning how to drive Tongue

Hey! It works, I sweat bullets when I play Just Dance, though that could be because I'm really out of shape hah!

I've only ever played Just Dance Disney, but trying to do the whole of the dance to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (I think I might've spelled that right first try!) is an interesting feat.
