I mainly do a lot of photography at concerts and such. Something I really love doing, captures a memory - definitely.
I'm considering putting up a freewebs with my photography on it. I would of course put a credit on it, but I'm afraid they'd be stolen :/

Oh, but I can't stand when pictures don't have anything to say. They say that "a picture is worth a thousand words" but sometimes I see some that are worth 2. "This sucks."
Well, a photo that only means two words to you may mean a thousand to somebody else Shifty

That's one of the beauties of photography, or any form of art really. It's subjective, and you can form your own opinion on what it means and it's interpretation.

I sortof agree with both of you. XD Although I agree that nobody can tell somebody else's art sucks, I still think that good photos tell a story and that taking pretty pictures of nothing is one of the most common mistakes people who are just getting into photography make. I also think you can take decent photos on tiny cheap cameras, especially if you don't want or need huge high resolution pictures. The camera doesn't take the picture for you, it's just a medium.

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but various people in my life have said I have a natural talent. Like I was born to be a photographer. I've had so many people compliment me on the photo's I've taken, and over the years I gradually got into the idea of going to college for photography. So I might minor in photography, but I don't like how the teachers tell me things that are completely off center of my style, and how I take pictures. I don't need a lesson to know what angles work for me and my pictures.

I haven't had a camera of my own until about two weeks ago, but before, I used to use my best friend's camera a lot. I love to take pictures. I don't really know what I'm doing but it's a lot of fun to just go outside with my camera and take some photos.

I love photography. I wouldn't want it to take over my life though, it's something I do if I'm inspired to :p

Although I shan't lie, I'm horrible at it xD
None of my pictures have any emotion to them whatsoever. But I'm cool with it, it's not something I plan on spending the rest of my life doing (as a career, I mean).

I love it and I don't even have a camera. Mr. Green I use my cellphone to take pictures of whatever when I'm in the car driving to random places. For some reason I LOVE taking pictures of the sky when there are weird clouds or it just looks awesome.
Photography is a YAY for me. Very Happy

When I was little and my mum asked my best friend what she wanted to be, her asnwer was a Christmas tree. Then out of interest she asked me and I said I wanted to be a photographer. I think she was more blown away that I knew a word that big haha.

I've just got my shit canon PAS at the moment but I'm saving for a good Nikon SLR.

I love doing portraits, and photos of people. You can capture a lot of personality and mood in a photo. I guess thats partially why I love it.

I'm wanting to take up photography. I bought a camera (my first camera ever!) and I take pictures every now and then. It isn't a super nice camera, but I like it a lot. The camera I purchased as my first camera is a Fujifilm Finepix S1800.

I've been doing photography for about 6 months now and people have been impressed with my work despite lack of knowledge. A guy in my Youth Group said I have an 'artistic eye'. I really enjoy it though, some days I'll just go for a walk and take my camera and it'll be really relaxing. I take it to work with me because I never know when I'll have a photo opportunity, and I always make sure I have spare batteries too. I love going on holiday and finding new things to take, landscapes etc. I find being at home, I know everything too well and it takes away the beauty for me sometimes.

I love taking pictures of random objects too, when I'm bored xD

I really like photography. It's so beautiful the way it captures things in a way words can't decribe. I enjoy it alot, am slighty decent, and hoping to take a photography class once my schedule frees up some. Right now I'm upgrading from a crappy regular digital to the nikon coolpix, not great, but better. I eventually want a dSLR though. Yeah, I'm only fourteen, but I've been told I have a great eye for photo oppurtunities. I really don't see why everyone's all 'All these little 13 year olds annoy me,' because everyone has to start somewhere, and if you have talent, you have it no matter your age.

I'm really into photography. I'm studying it in college and it is my dream job.

I agree with this, to an extent. In photography there are rules and things that you should try to stick to, such as the rule of thirds, however that doesn't mean they can't be broken occasionally.
You can make mistakes, but that just helps you to learn and to improve. You might under/over expose, or your photo may lack the emotion that you originally wanted.

Anyway, just want to say that a 'good camera' does not always mean 'good photos'.
It really annoys me when people say something like "Oh your photos are so good, what camera do you use?" and then think they're complimenting me. It's like "Hold on a minute, if these photos are good, then it's because of my planning or my ideas, and not because of the camera."
Sure, a decent camera allows you to use different shutter speeds, apertures etc, but it's the person who decides what settings to use, what composition to use, and obviously, what to photograph. Keep that in mind.
