Reading.

  • I love reading. I read from Jane Austen to Stephanie Meyer.
My favorite author and series right now is The Southern Vapire Series by Charlaine Harris. Even though I like half the characters more in the television series, my favorite character is better in the book.

  • Reading is one of my favorite things to do. I have books shelves full of books. From horror to comedy to science fiction. I read just about everything.

Right now I'm reading the Anita BLake series. And my favorite time to read is late at night. I'll lay in bed for hours and read before I actually fall asleep.

  • I read a lot of novels. Books in series are great, even though waiting for the next installment isn't. The Potter series is my top favorite, but the Stephanie Plum novels by Janet Evanovich are a close second.

Go with The Time Traveler's Wife. I've read The Notebook, and while it's interesting, I thought it was really... unemotional and detatched, if that makes any sense? I actually liked the movie better :XD
I think I understand what you mean. I've seen the movie and I really liked it, but I heard that the endings were completely different.
    the endings are COMPLETELY different...

well reading has always been really big for me, i've always been a fast and avid reader though my spelling isn't always that great

when i read, most of the time i'm oblivious to the world :con: usually gets people annoyed, but o well :wait:

  • Aha, my favourite hobby and my favourite talent. :XD
So far it's taken me 1 day and a half to read HP6. It's usually quicker than that, but I've had distractions. Sad

  • HP was a fun series.... I read the whole lot in a week. I read fast. :D

    and it's fun! :D

Reading is soooo cool. I stayed up till five doing it once. Not too smart, but fun.

But yeah. I hate all the endings, just about. Out of the millions I've read [okay, maybe just thousands, cause I read a lot of them twice], I've only liked a TINY handful of endings.

Anyone read Stardust? Movie so much better. but thats the only thing.... i hate how they keep doing movies from books, cause they're usually such a disappointment

  • Reading is my favorite hobby, I usually never leave the house unless I have a book with me. My favorite book is Harry Potter and my favorite auhtor is J. K. Rowling.

I keep track of the books I read, I've been doing it for three years or so. I write down the book, beginning and ending dates, and the number of pages. It's fun to see how fast I can read a book.

  • ^^ I used to do that! But I stopped for some odd reason and now I just can't be bothered. :XD

  • I keep a list of books I've read, but I don't write down the beginning and ending dates and stuff like that. I just have a heading, like "Summer 2009" or "Semester 1 '09" and then list the books.

  • I'm always reading, may not be a book exactly, but I'm always reading something. I'll stay up till odd hours at night just reading a book. My most favourites to read are Harry Potter and anything I own by Ellen Hopkins. I also read a lot of Stephen Kings works. He's probably my favourite author ever.

    I'm addicted to books. Period.

  • Ever since I was little my teachers always used the term 'avid reader'. It annoyed them, actually, how much I read. I didn't pay attention in class and rather focused on my book. It would insult them and make them think I find the class boring. Was that true? Sort of. But it was really more the fact I was DYING to know what would happen next.

I'm such a dork. I recorded down all of the books I read last school year. I read quite a few, too... I can't remember how many, but a lot of classics, which became my friends. Cuckoo's Nest... Notre Dame de Paris... some really great ones.

I actually haven't read any book at all this summer, though... I keep urging my mom to take us to the library, but she always goes "Okay," and then it never happens. Disgust

I still need to at least get my summer reading book down. I also wanted to read Lord of the Flies before I have to start it this year so I can be ahead in the assignments.

Ah well. I'll remind her right now. I can read pretty quickly, so I'm sure I can get at least three done by the end of the month. Maybe four.

kafka's comment reminded me that I wanted to read some more of him, as well. I really did enjoy The Metamorphosis...

  • I love reading. My sister is obsessed with tv and she doesn't see how a book can be as interesting.

I love Chuck Palahniuk. I just finished Invisible Monsters. I don't think it was as good as it was acclaimed to be, though.
My favorite by him is Rant, I loved that book.

Other than that, I really liked Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli… even though it's kind of a kids book. :tehe:
I agree with you. I started reading it and got halfway through. I couldn't seem to get into it. Not like Diary. Diary kept me focused on that and only that. Invisible Monsters didn't seem to appeal to me as much, even though Ryan Ross portrayed it excellently in "Time to Dance."

  • I'll read anything that is interesting. I'm a sucker for fantasy books and some time of romance, and if it's both, it all works out perfectly!
    I also love comedy :)

  • I read when I can, whatever I can. I love reading.

  • I'll basically read everything, unless it's about politics, because they bore me. Right now, I'm reading a book called The Janson Directive by Robert Ludlum and it's pretty awesome.

^^ I've read Lord of the Flies. It's pretty good, although I must admit I had trouble imagining the landscape at times. :shifty

  • I used to read a lot more when I was younger. I was kind of an indoor kid, and I read so much. xD I used to read James and the Giant Peach over and over.

Now my reading has sort of died down lately, but I'm still in the middle of Wuthering Heights, the Road, Candy, and Choke. (: Candy's been on hold for over a year. xD

So do I, except they're in order of author.
