I'd find it very, very scary if someone had no music in their life. I mean, birds sing. The radio plays, even if it's in the car next to you. There's elevator music, and mall music, and store music, and thousands of different genres.
    There's something for everyone.

So, how does music affect your life? Do you not really listen to it, or are you about to elope with your iPod/MP3 player? Do enjoy listening to it, or is it a nuisance? Play any instruments? Like any bands? Favorite songs, artists…
Etc., etc., etc., because I cold go on forever. :tehe:

    --
I'm almost constantly listening to music. On the bus, doing chores, walking my dog, going for a run… The list goes on. I couldn't imagine not having music, there's just so much of it out there. I love listening to it. I'll pretty much listen to anything but rap, country, hip hop, r&b, and really poppy, synthy stuff. I'm more into alternative and rock. Favorite band, Something Corporate. Favorite song, Konstantine by the previously mentioned. I play piano and cello, and I want to learn guitar.
And that's pretty much me. Bye

    Your turn! :brightside:

I pretty much never turn my music off. It's always been a huge part of my life, ever since the day I was born. I grew up hearing the stuff my parents like (Mom: Green Day, Blink 182, Metallica / Dad: The Who, The Replacements), plus the different kinds of music my dad has made during his life. When I'm at home, my itunes is always playing. When I go out with friends, I bring my ipod.

I have always wanted to be a drummer. When I was 5 or so, my dad even got me a small drum kit to start learning on. I never took any serious lessons, but he started to teach me a few basic things since he had a regular sized kit at the time. Once he sold it though, he couldn't really teach me how to play anymore, so I stopped learning. Then when I was the right age to join band at school, I was going to take up drums since I figured it would be a good way to continue learning the instrument. For some reason though, I chose the saxophone, which was definitely not the instrument I wanted to learn. I don't even know why I chose it, to be honest. I ended up quitting two years later anyway. When I was 14, I started screwing around in my music theory and music composition classes on the keyboard/piano, cause it's what we were using for the majority of things. Unlike half the other people in both classes, I'm not trained at all in piano; I've taught myself a few simple songs, but it's nothing to brag about in the slightest. I can read and convert music fairly well though, so I got used to it pretty quickly. I'm currently in the process of teaching myself how to play the acoustic guitar, and my dad is teaching me to play the electric bass. I don't know any drummers who are capable to tech me though, so I'm still waiting on that, sadly. :\

Favorite bands? Brand New, Senses Fail, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, Taking Back Sunday, Metallica, Flyleaf, The Bouncing Souls, My Chemical Romance, Blink 182. I have a lot more, but I'm sparing everyone. :XD

I used to listen to music at every given opportunity, but not so much anymore. But that's only because I write a lot more than I used to and I can't write and listen to music at the same time.

But I never leave the house without my iPod.

Favourite bands: MCR, Aiden, The Killers, Less Than Jake, Good Charlotte, Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, Garth Brooks, Pink, Lostprophets, Motion City Soundtrack, Alkaline Trio...

And I play guitar and bass. And kinda drums.

I'm always listening to music, whether it's on CD, my iPod, the TV, YouTube or just a song in my head. I'm always being told for having my music too loud, because I don't listen to quiet music - if it's not full blast, it's not loud enough :hand:

If I don't listen to Slipknot as soon as I wake up, then I'm in a bad mood for the rest of the day (and I'm not even kidding, it's been proven :XD) And if I don't listen to them before I go to bed, then I can't drift off to sleep, or I have nightmares. They literally control me :tehe:In Love

Other than that, my music taste is the most varied thing in the world. One of the mix playlists I have on my iTunes is filled with Korn, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Satyricon, Slipknot, Busted, Beethoven, Chicane...you get my drift at how random it is, right?

Music is like a quarter of my life. I adore it In Love

I'm in a band, I play four instruments (really I play three but it sounds better to say four), I always have my ipod on, and I sing. I love music.

I love it. I write songs, I play instruments, I sing way too much, I'm always listening to it and talking about it. If my ears aren't bleeding, then it isn't loud enough. :XD (Okay, kidding. But I like it LOUD.)

I've branched out from just blues, hard rock and metal [though they remain my favourite genres] to almost everything. You name an artist and it's more than likely on my playlist. I love thrash metal, hip hop, rap, pop [some of it, mind you :XD], punk, glam, country, classical, speed metal, power metal, everything. I don't, however, like screamo or emo. At all.

I'm in a band too, there's three of us. I'm the vocalist and bass player. It's pretty insane at times. We get way too carried away. :lmfao But right now I think we're going to do For Whom The Bell Tolls. In Love

I want to become famous with my band because I can't see myself doing anything else. It's who I am, I just know it. My singing, for me, is therapeutic. It's how I get through each day. I live for the moments I get out my house and sing to my heart's content, loud, and I don't give a fuck who hears. I don't even know if it works for anything else. But it's therapeutic for me and it's helped me so much.

And my God, I can't wait to get going with the band.

I always have music on. If I'm sat at the computer at my Media Player isn't up, it feels very strange. I still have shelves full of CDs, even though I'm the only one of my friends who still goes out and buys them. They all download them - but I couldn't. I have to have something playing on my stereo in my room.
