What city [or state] do you live in? What do you like or dislike about it? Would you rather live somewhere else?

I live in Memphis. One of the things I really like about it is the rich history of it. of course, we're also one of the fattest cities in America, we are also have like one of the top five in crime rate. I have lived here for fourteen years and I have yet to be shot. Dance

I live in Roanoke, Virginia. I love my city, but not the people in it. We used to be a big salt mining city, but then that stopped and...

We have a lot of railroad stuff. Across from downtown is a huge Norfolk/Southern factory. We have a small civic center, and it's okay. Bands like Staind and Breaking Benjamin come here often. :tehe:

I'd rather live somewhere else, but I'd miss my city. We have a giant star on one of the mountains near the zoo. The biggest man-made star in the world. In Love I'd miss the mountains, too. There aren't mountains like the Blue Ridge mountains. [/Southern Girl]

But I've been here for sixteen years, so, yeah. Sorry
Two more until the end of high school, and then hopefully VA Beach. :cute:

I live in Muncie, Indiana. It's not that bad of a town, besides a few punks here and there [punks as in trouble makers for those who will take offense]. I like my city a lot, I don't think I'd ever want to live somewhere else. This is my home and I feel safe here, I'd miss it if I ever left.

I live in Houston, Texas. I like that it's really culturally enriched and it has a really great visual and performing arts scene. (: The museum and theater districts are so cool.

Most of the time I'd rather live somewhere else, up north. It's too hot here. Maybe somewhere like Denver. I've been there and I love it.

I guess it's what I'm used to. Suburbs of a small town, open countryside five minutes walk away. I don't think I could live in the middle of a city. Not much happens but we have a nice slow pace of life most of the time so it's all good. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up back here later in life.
Somewhere near/just outside Bristol is where I'd like to live though.

    ^ I live there too.

I don't like it much, I find it quite mundane. Especially as I live outside of the town, in the countryside area where none of my friends live, so I can't just leave my house and walk to meet them.
Although it is nice to walk around the fields, and it's nice and quiet. (Except for my house). Like Lies for a Liar, I'll probably move to Bristol eventually.

I live in the middle of nowhere, near Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It's really nice and beautiful here, not to mention it smells better than the cities. Yet I'd rather live in the city because I get constantly bored here and none of my friends are within walking distance. I want to move to Toronto.

    We have nothing here....at all...
except for Bikini Beani, which is a new coffee shop that people like to talk about just because the girls serve coffee in bikinis.

Like: It's nice and every thing's close to each other. Nothing bad really happens. Plus, the downtowns are amazing :cheese:

    Dislike: The moody weather.

I've been to the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. It was pretty nifty.

I live in Conroe, Texas. I don't like it much because there's a ton of construction currently. There's one highway that's being rebuilt, and one of the lanes on the street that I live on used to be blocked because they were working on that.

I hate the weather here. It's so hot and humid. I like the heat, I just can't stand humidity. It's awful here. :grr:

    I live in Australia.

I don't like much about it, especially the fact that we're isolated from other countries.
But I've found the media's very sensationalist driven [as in they'll run with the "hot story of the moment" until it's completely overused, and then they'll turn on each other for running with something so much. If that made sense.]
I'm not very fond of the weather, which is usually sunny and hot. Although living on the coast has it's benefits, we still don't get snow, which bugs the hell out of me.
I think the politicians that run the country are more driven on slandering each other and their public image than actually outlining their policies and ideas to people.
    [/just my opinions]

But then there are times when I love it here. Like when there's clouds rumbling over the hill and the cockatoos are flying over the treetops, screeching. And then comes the lightshow of lightning and rain. The local fauna is pretty sweet too. Massive, deadly spiders, lizards, crocodiles and stuff. Koalas, wombats, kangaroos, wallabies.

So it has it's high and low points, but overall, I'm pretty sure I'd rather live somewhere else.

The whole name "Norfolk" really says it all if I'm honest; boring and filled with chavs and retired people, particuarly in my area.

The only thing that came out of this place that was cool was koRn.
    It's hot here. :)
I'd rather live in Finland where it's cooler.

I live in Ohio. Like in the country part, with farms everywhere. It's like a ten minute walk to the closest town and the town has nothing to do. Really, I must say it's rather boring. -__-" And I don't even live close to anything. It's just...country. I'd rather be in California. :cute:

I like the fact that not many cars drive down our driveway/back road, whatever the hell it's call -_-. And the fact that I don't have a bunch of neighbors, my big back yard, the sky at night without any city lights and the fact that Marilyn Manson came from Ohio. :con:

I don't like that I don't live near big city's that the bands I like go to. The wild animals (Raccoons mostly), and how nothing happens around here.

I live in Hong Kong (:

    Likes:
    1) If you know where to look, you can buy pretty much anything from fake Prada bags to the latest edition of Rock Sound.
    2) No tax!
    3) Also, I just love how efficient and fast paced everything is.

    Dislikes:
    1) The air quality is bad.
    2) People don't care about others. If you ask somebody for directions, they will probably just ignore you. Or give you a strange look. One of the more scarier things about that is if you're in trouble, no one is going to help you, unless it's their job to. Not too long ago, I remember seeing this lady being mugged in the middle of the shopping mall, and everyone was just giving them a wide berth and walking by as if nothing was happening. Luckily, the security guard came, and things got sorted.

Still, despite its flaws, I love my city. Wouldn't live anywhere else for the world. Except for maybe next door to Mikey Way (:
