Blackfield with special guests Anathema 5.19.2011
By Anathema, they are credited as that though 2/3 of the band couldn't make it, so it was literally only Vincent and Danny. Nonetheless, it was a good show! I queued up pretty damn early and saw Danny when he came out to find something to do. He was chatting up the few of us who were waiting in line and asked me for directions to the city centre, he wanted to see something American as coming over here is a rarity for them. I told him I wasn't from Philly but he thanked me for trying anyhow!

I ended up in the front row, by Danny's microphone. Despite only being a two piece acoustic with a loop pedal, Vincent and Danny brought one hell of a show on with some of my favourite songs, including my all time favourite Are You There? to which Danny asked if we knew this song and I screamed yes at him and thanked him. He bowed as he played to me, it was a really awesome moment. I stood there on the verge of tears.

Blackfield were really fucking epic also, though they are a poppier sound than Steven Wilson is known for bringing, I still found myself headbanging my hair off practically. The set was about the same as they've always done with the newer songs peppered in here and there and the energy was absolutely fantastic. Probably the best of all three nights I went. After the show, I went to the merch stand where the guy was wrapping up for the night and he kindly sold me a hoodie despite being done and then I bumped into Danny, literally, as I went to leave. He got all excited and went, "You were in the front row!" to which I told him that was me, and I thanked him, he thanked me and it was a big 'no you!' basically.

I went outside after that hoping to meet some of Blackfield and then Danny came by again, so I finally asked him for a picture. I was pretty memorable as by the last show I went to, they were floored to see me again!

Musically: Fall Out Boy, February 2005. They were the opening act at the time. Not very well known. Hadn't yet released From Under The Cork Tree. The energy was INSANE. I was hooked instantly. They've been a favorite ever since. Still haven't seen them since the hiatus ended Grr

Stage presence/Banter: All Time Low, several times from 2007-2009. I haven't heard the newest stuff but they could not be beat as far as jokes and witty one liners. Yeah, it was all immature boy stuff - penises and sex and what have you - but it was goddamn funny. Plus, I've met them and they are super sweet.

Carolina Rebellion 2011, hands down. There were eighteen different bands, including: Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, Hinder, Saving Abel, Skillet, Seether, Stone Sour, Bullet for my Valentine, Halestorm and more.

I'm not sure anything will ever be able to beat that.

Honestly, It's a tie between HIM in 2010 and Wednesday 13 in 2013. I've loved both bands for so long and it took me forever to be able to see them, so it was like a dream come true for both. Both shows were absolutely amazing, even if I couldn't understand a word Ville was saying while he talked. :b
And Wednesday 13 acknowledged my existence, so that basically made my life.

Edit: As of March 24th, Tyr/Death Angel/Children Of Bodom just completely blew every other show I've been to out of the water.

    Tie between:

    MSI March 3rd (or 4th?) 2012.
    and
    Rammstein- April 29th (maybe?) 2012.

MSI puts on an amazing show so there's that.

But I have wanted to see Rammstein in concert since I was like 13. And it was potentially a once in a lifetime experience. And I got to go with my best friend (who I hadn't seen in a year), and we'd always said "we have to see Rammstein together before we die". So that basically made my life.

I've also seen Turisas like three or four times now and they're definitely the next best. But that's because I'm in love with their lead singer.

Judas Priest (and Whitesnake) on October 2011. It was so insanely good. They weren't promoting any album, so they played a lot of the old songs. I think they only played one or two songs from the relatively-new albums, which I don't like as much. I wasn't even expecting some of the songs they played, like Starbreaker and Beyond the Realms of Death.

Man, I adored that concert Sad I think it was the last time they played in Mexico, though.

    Green Day in 2009.

Every second of the concert was perfect, energized and just made me feel so good. I sadly haven't been able to go to another Green Day concert since then, because last time they were in town I was in college 3 hours away and couldn't get there. However, next time they're in my area, I'm going to be there, no matter what. Hell, if by then I have a car? I'm willing to drive to the next state to see them.

For me, the last two concerts I've been to were the absolute best. Two months ago I saw Tegan and Sara, Lucius, and The Courtneys in Jacksonville, and God, I'm still reeling from it. I swear, they played every one of my favorite songs of theirs and I sang along with every word, reliving all the good memories I associate with each one. In Love I was just watching a video that someone took of the first song of their set ("Back in Your Head," if it matters), and I was just flooded with awesome memories of seeing them in person for the first time.

And about a month ago, I saw Say Anything, The Front Bottoms, The So-So Glos, and You Blew It! in Orlando. Say Anything is one of those bands that I've listened to in binges at different times of my life, and so every song has a different memory with it. They had some of the most random songs in their setlist, but like with Tegan and Sara, they played some of my absolute favorites that I never thought I'd hear live. (The only bad thing was that they didn't play "Alive With the Glory of Love," honestly.)

This is a hard one, because I've been to a LOT of concerts in my life. The Eagles were amazing. That show will forever be hard to top. I would say the three that rank up there (or possibly tie) with The Eagles would be Avenged Sevenfold in 2009, Alter Bridge in April of this year, or Longreef/Almost Kings/Sevendust last May.

I have to say that performance-wise, Almost Kings will always win the number one spot. They are non-stop energy...jumping around and interacting with the audience. Their singer pulled me up onstage and danced with me In Love Yeah, they're just epic.

Oh, and I can't forget Lynam. I'm a little biased because they're from my home state and I adore their vocalist/guitarist, but still, they are a band everyone should see.

Imagine Dragons last year in Boston. But I'm going to the Gospel Tour for Panic! with Walk the Moon and Magic Man on Sunday so we'll see if that can top it. Bastille was good too.

You Me at Six in 2013. It was the most intamate show I've ever been to; and at the end of the show a ton of the fans (including me and my sister) got on the stage and sang to Stay With Me. (I may or may not have held onto Josh's arm for dear life). Tbh it was pretty funny because the whole band was like 'oh shit we shouldn't have encouraged this' after all the girls got onstage XD

I saw B.O.B. this summer and although I don't really listen to his music anymore, it totally brings back memories of like 2010 when I was about 14 or 15 and I was into the hip-hop style.
It was just a really crazy concert, there were ridiculous amounts of people there because it was at a music festival and it only cost like $15 to get in. My friends and I got there like 8 hours early so we could sit in the 3rd row and it was totally worth it. :D
I was so close I almost touched his hand and he crowd-surfed and I actually GOT to touch him,

It's such a tie between Avenged Sevenfold (any concert that I see for them) and when I saw Fall Out Boy on their first tour after the hiatus.

Avenged play such a wonderful show all the time and they are so amazing to see perform. Fall Out Boy are great as well, but when I last saw them at the Monumentour, I wasn't that impressed with their setlist compared to the first time I saw them.

If I had to choose, I don't think I'd be able to. I have too many good memories of both the bands that it'd be impossible.

It's a tie (a very odd tie, but a tie, none-the-less) between Justin Timberlake, Metallica, and Green Day.
