    Max.:
It kind of annoys me in the "Mibbians that intimidate you." thread on OT, when people say that they wish people were intimidated by them, or something along those lines.

I feel like those people are just fishing for attention or something :|
I've not had my username mentioned there much, but I was devastated whenever I did see it. I don't like the idea of people finding me intimidating.
It drives me crazy when people go in there and say things like "I don't think anybody finds me intimidating :(" and then a bunch of people just have to quote them and say that they are. It's just like in the MIbbian Awards thread when people would say Mibbian Least Likely to Get An Award: Myself. It's annoying.
That entire thread is about attention. Whatever it's original purpose is (and I don't think the original intention was a nice one either), it's been long forgotten.

The original purpose was to give awards, proper ones. Like, Best Writer, Most Helpful, etc. But now it's all inside jokes and "Mibbian Least Likely To Get An Award". Sometimes the first I mentioned are still given out but...not as often.

^ XD I was actually talking about the "Mibba That Intimidates You" thread. Though I guess it could apply to the "Mibba Awards" thread too.

I don't like the little avatars. Sad You can't see writing on them, and I know the new avas are gonna be bigger, but they're still gonna be smaller than they used to be.

I also don't like it when people write stuff like "Just so you know, using chatspeak will get you banned. :cute:"

Uh, you're happy that using chatspeak will get them banned? If you're trying to come across as less intimidating, in my eyes, you just look stupid. :file: Sorry.

I also don't like it when people put stuff like "Lock if dup" in the description, or in the first post. It's like, well duh, the mods know what they're doing. They don't need your permission to lock it.

People do that because they're trying to be nice. In my opinion, I don't see what that has to do with being less intimidating.

I don't like it when people claim someone on the Compliments thread and then forget to actually write out a compliment of some sort. It seems to me that you shouldn't post a claim on there if you're going to venture away from the thread. I understand that they may get distracted or have to leave the computer, but I still don't see that as a decent excuse.

    Ahh, sorry. :XD
I think the purpose of Mibbians That Intimidate You was to bring people closer together, but it's just turned into a "I'M NOT INTIMIDATING!" "YES YOU ARE!!" routine.

I think the avatars should be 80x80.
    I don't have a problem with 60x60, but I think 80x80 would be a lot more convienient.
At least it's not like 20x20. Smiley

Stories aren't taken down for no apparent reason.
There has to be something wrong with the title for it to be deleted.

I really dislike when people ask if their themes look good in the General Q&A thread. I've seen people doing it a lot more lately and I don't think that's the sort of question that should be asked there.
But I realize it's petty and it's easy enough to ignore anyway. :tehe:

Doesn't general mean that we can ask whatever we want?
I've seen stuff that is way more misplaced than theme questions in there. Like people asking questions that should go in Story Finders or Fact Finder or Story Q&A.

People getting their knickers in a knot over the new rules.
Especially the no pictures/character links in the stories policy.

    And people are going,
"Oh my God, this fucking sucks! I'll give you a couple days to prove why this is good."
And they just keep going on and on, after being told the purpose of it.

I mean, yes - freedom should be allowed,
but there are just some needs to keep this site a writing community.
And to be honest, it's not a big deal.

Dujo has his reasons and they're all quite understandable.
Until he makes us spin three times on our heads
and sing the alphabet backwards to log in, I'll be fine with most of the things he does.

When people make a big deal out of everything.
    Especially rules.

I also hate when someone breaks a rule, you tell them to fix it, they don't, you report them, and they never get in any type of trouble or something.

    Geez...

Look, I didn't mean to offend anyone with my MCR comment. Oops I probably should have done without that least bit. But why are people reading so much into somthing I wrote in ten seconds without thinking? Please, move on.

    But yeah, I am sorry.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I just have to point out that if you say that something – something with a huge fan base – sucks, you're going to offend to people.

I don't like it how virtually no one can say something is bad without everyone getting highly offended.

Point in case, the MCR thing that happened on this thread. I'm an MCR fan myself, but if someone thinks they suck, then it's no skin off my nose. It's their opinion and I don't see why people should just jump on them... I mean, I can understand if it's on the MCR thread - then people would have the right to be mad - but just in general discussion? O.o

But that's just one example of what I mean... there are many more cases where people get offended over petty things, especially in off topic game threads, like the Overrated thread. It just seems childish to get mad over someone else disliking something that they like.

I do agree. There is a lot of tension lately...

You are allowed to state your opinions, but not so far as that it'll offend people. Bashing them openly - and I mean "THIS BAND SUCKS SO MUCH ANYONE WHO LIKES THEM SHOULD GO DIE" for example, is not allowed.

I agree on the Overrated thread, though.

Geez... thank you. I was thinking the same thing. I see it all the time. People ovrreacting based on another person's opinion.

^ I don't think I said "anyone who likes them should go die."

^Yeah, I can understand that something like that can be offensive and even something someone could be banned for, but just saying a band sucks shouldn't be taken as seriously as it is sometimes... I'm sure there are heaps of bands and different things in general that people think suck. It's just life.
