There's pro's and con's to them, but overall, they're pretty cool, especially since you can go on the internet wherever you are.

What do you think about them?

A lot of my friends have them. They like them, except sometimes the service can be sketchy.

I want one, but the only problem is I use my MP3 player a lot, and my phone, too. So, wouldn't that kill my battery faster? omgno: My phone usually dies long before my MP3 does. Also, it would prob. get me in trouble at school. Having my MP3 out gets me glares, but phones get confiscated. omgno:

Um..my god-father had to return his because the keys got stickey, and when he pressed '9' he got '6'.
And I can get internet/mp3 on my LG scoop without paying a $99.99 phone bill every month. :tehe:

I've got one and I love it, my bro also has one, he got the original while I've got the 3G iPhone. I would be lost without it as it combines everything I love into one piece of technology, it has apps for ebooks, has iPod and also internet. The 3 things I love that aren't living.

I've had mine for a year and the battery life really does deplete over time. But no actually if I just use the MP3 I would only have to charge it every day. The internet and especially apps are what make the battery drain.

My bill is only $45 a month. But yeah flat rate is $30 with the internet. I don't even have unlimited texting. :grr:

The battery isn't going to drain incredibly fast using the iPod feature, mostly because you can turn the screen into sleep mode when you listen to it. It's all really based on the amount of time the screen us on.

Two things, for sure, that drain the battery are wi-fi and bluetooth. But really, unless you use one those handsfree phones, you're not going to use bluetooth. And cell singles are strong enough to feed off of for the internet (which, does drain the battery a bit, but it's not too bad.)

It's expensive, yes, especially if you don't have the data plan for it on your account already, but honestly, it's a lot cheaper than buying, say, a Xenon and not getting any of the features for free. I almost did that and then I got my mom's hand-me-down 3G. And I'm ecstatic with it. <3

My dad says he would get an iPhone if he didn't have to get AT&T with it. And my dad is a Mac nerd. That's how much he hates AT&T. :lmfao

I think the touch screens are super fun to play around with. I think I'd rather have a Touch, though…
Actually, I don't think I'd want that, either. I'd be too tempted to fill it up with useless apps instead of actual music. :XD

I usually hate them too. I just like playing around with them for awhile, but after that they annoy the hell out of me.

Especially cameras with touch screens. Ugh.

I don't really like Apple what-so-ever, but I think iPhones are pretty awesome. They're fun to play around with. I wouldn't like it as much because I don't need the iPod (and to be honest, I hate iPods with a passion. I love my Zune too much.) I'd get one, but I don't like AT&T. >.<

^A lot of phones these days come with Internet access :shifty. Apple didn't invent Internet on phones.

I think they're really overrated for what they are. I'm usually a fan of Apple products, but not this one.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but there are TONS of 3G deadzones. I don't have my jailbroken so I have to use AT&T for it. Verizon might be better, I'm not sure. But I know I have no service in Disney, Six Flags, and in any basement.

^ Yeah, I've heard the 3G service is not that great. But I hate amusement parks and don't have a basement, so that partially solves it for me. :tehe:

I'm getting it soon, so I'm just wondering about how the internet works. If you don't pay for internet (I'm mega cheap), do you still have internet where there's free Wi-Fi?

^ Yep. Internet everywhere, save for the 3G deadzones. It's slow in some places too. But most of the time it's good. It's rare that I even find a wi-fi area.

Its dual & very handy. I`ve tried already with my friends' iPhones.
Tap Tap convinced me to buy one. :tehe:

I have one. I like it, but I don't. It always makes me panic when I almost or do drop my phone since there's no insurance for them. It's why I named my iPhone Panic. Lol.
