Well, I figured this fit more under this topic than it does science, just because most people, well...don't do it to be scientific. They do it to be close to the universe. At least, I do.

In Love This was inspired between a conversation with stereo sex., and our viewings of shooting stars.

If I had a telescope and a pitch-black, open field, I would sit there all night, gazing. In Love

I've always wanted to go up north in the winter and see the Aurora lights. That's like...my perfect winter vacation. Just me, the snow, and the lights. In Love

Can you see the meteor shower from where you live?

That's always been something I've wanted to do! :cheese:

Not much. Just a few shots of light here and there.

They're supposed to peak at 4 to 5 AM. In Love I hope I can see them.

Let's meet at my grandmother's this Christmas!
    We shall go. In Love

I also want to go to Antarctica and sit, cozy, in lots and lots of blankets, and just look at the stars. Can you imagine how raw the contact is with space? So, so great...

I need to go to the planetarium sometime soon. :tehe:

    I'll meet you there. :tehe:

In eighth grade we went to the planetarium.. and this lady would ask us questions about stuff, and I felt smart 'cause I knew almost everything she was talking about. Like.. Olympus Mons and stuff like that.

Antarctica. :twitch: That would be amazing.

I've always had a thing for the stars. Staring at them makes my neck hurt, but it's worth it just to see them. When I'm outside for long periods of time, I like to imagine that they're talking to me. When the light casts them away, I cry. I want them to stay forever and ever.

I did that in the car, on the way back home from Covington. Listening to love songs with my head out the window at almost midnight, gleaming at the stars as they gleamed back. Perfection. In Love

I sat on our deck and leaned back in one of our chairs that reclines, and it was just amazing.

The last time I really did that was in Colorado. Just really stared at them for a while. I can't wait until we live out in the country, and have a big yard that I can just lay in and stare. I'm looking forward to it.

I want that, too, but to have it, I'll have to wait a long time. Like, retirement long. omgno:

We're moving to my grandma's house after they move out. My mom and dad want to move onto a farm so they can raise Alpaca. Maybe I'll name one after a star instead of what I had originally though of. :tehe:

    Do it!

My friend Victoria did that. But as far as I know, she didn't use it so she should look at stars. :hand:

I dunno. Sirius was always my favorite star. In Love
I might do that. It's a two-fer. A star, and a Harry Potter character. :tehe:

I occasionally star-gaze. I did last night and I watched the meteor shower. It was awesome.

I have never stargazed using a telescope, but now and again I'll go outside at night, and the sky is so beautiful. In Love
Sometimes I'll just lie in the grass and stare up to the stars for a while, everything feels so peaceful.

Hopefully I can see Jupiter when it goes into opposition in the next couple of weeks. :weird

If I'm in the car, I'll star-gaze to just think about my life and stuff. It's really relaxing.

I love star gazing. I used to have a small telescope that I took on vacation with me when we went to less populated areas so I could just sit and stare at the stars. It was so simple and gave you a lot of time to think while doing it.

I find it a relaxing hobby that I don't get to do much anymore because of all the light polution in New Jersey. Not to mention that the endless noise ruins the calming effect.

I'm not like an avid Star-Gazer if I'm honest; but I do love staring out my window sometimes occasionally. Especially when I'm feeling really "loved up" or whatever. It makes me feel all dreamy, and just perfect and all relaxed. I really want my boyfriend and I to just lye in my garden one day and just watch them holding eachother. Sounds cliche, but that to me would be amazing.

I love watching them when zooming down the streets in the car, they just whirl by and...yeah. In Love
