I love to sketch. I love painting though I've only done it once. I sketch all the time and whenever I'm finished, there's alway an amazing musician there.

I specialize in anime art myself n__n I don't really like to paint or use traditionnal media now that I have a tablet, but I am still capable of it if I have to. (the problem is lack of undo button!)
I've been drawing for years now, but I'm pretty lazy about it so I've only been able to improve on certain areas.

my art gallery is here if anyone wants to see.

I can truthfully say I only seriously started drawing because of anime LOL, because my first memories of working hard on a drawing was copying from a digimon colouring book XD

I do a mix of watercolor, and india ink.
It isn't realism, and it isn't cartoon, it's caught somewhere in between.
It used to be all black and white, and then I added a splash of red, but now I have exploded with color (although it exists between the contrast of black and white)

I do cartoons as well, but I don't consister it to be my 'art' they're my cartoons.

Art isn't a hobby for me anymore. I go to art school for illustration, so it's my life right now. My personal style is evolving and getting more and more stylized but more and more realistic as well. The art I do for work is mainly from observation and requires a great amount of realism and attention to detail. I used to work mainly in pencil but now I'm discovering the joys of all different media. Lately I've done pastels, water colors, ink washes, some digital work, charcoal, acrylic paint, pencil work and pen work. Over the summer, I'm going to be taking a 3D design class on site at my school (it's required. I'm not excited) as well as start working on my 1st body of work which I'm calling "The Art War" and it's going to be a statement about art and WWII and how they interconnect in multiple ways. It's also going to involve a lot of feminist ideas but most of my work does in some way. My first piece is going to be a realistic painting of Eva Braun drinking a Four Loko which is more of a statement about feminine repression back then and the difference now more than art. :) It's probably going to be from reference, observation and a bit of subjectivity as well. Think Gottfried Helnwein but more colorful and vulgar.

I have inherited good genes from my maternal side that has a passion for art.
I can draw very well but unfortunately, I think my paternal side polluted it.

Although I can draw well, I normally don't have the patience for it.
In the end, I got so frustrated that I draw like some ten year old. I dislike that.

I'm learning wood carving/sculpting by myself but sadly... there's not even a bit if improvement. Such an irony right? I like this form of art, finally have some patience for it but there's no useful website that teaches wood sculpting. :/

I recently got back into painting. I've been doing GCSE art for the past two years, so all the time I might have otherwise put towards drawing/painting for a hobby, I had to put into drawing/painting for my GCSE course. It definitely helped me improve, but I found it so frustrating that we were always told precisely what to do, and there was a very limited amount of actual creativity involved.

Now I've finished my GCSEs, I've got back into art as a hobby. I mostly paint; oil paints are my favourite (I find watercolour so frustrating now), and I've been experimenting with a lot of styles. I've decided I quite like surrealism, and some forms of abstract art (though I find that abstract is actually harder than painting something realistically). I also draw on occasion, but painting is my favourite.

I do everything, son. I especially love painting with like, any median. I love doing mixed media too, like, incorporating random things into 2D art i.e. flowers, sticks, or clam shells.

I like drawing and painting (birdhouses to be exact), I usually do black and white unless I'm painting because I just don't like adding color to great drawings.

I'm on-and-off with art projects, so I don't have many honed skills, but my boyfriend took me to Michael's & Blick earlier this year, and I have so many supplies for things I want to do. In Love I love painting. Plaster Fun Time is a cool plaster painting place we have around here, and I've worked on things for 6+ hours and been featured on the shelves. lmfao That's the extent of my art.

I love drawing pretty much anything that comes to mind & depending on the music I have going at the time.
I've really been into drawing portraits and doing banners.
I'm wanting to season up my painting skills as I've always struggled with paints.

For some reason I've found that I kind of like painting. I love futurist, romantic, and minimalist paintings, and it irks me that the only style that I can really do is impressionism.

I also like messy pen sketches.

I love doing monochromatic portraits. Realistic eyes sketches and especially pastel and chalk drawings. I'm trying to get back into painting too.

I love drawing, and my main mediums are pencil, ink, and colored pencil. I suck at painting with acrylics and I'm even worse with watercolors, but I'm getting pretty decent at pastels. I've been carrying on with digital art for a while now, and I keep learning new things about Photoshop almost every time I use it. I have a really cartoony style but I can't permanently shake loose my anime influence from elementary school (Facepalm), so that shows up a lot. I'd love to learn how to make comics eventually. Not like superhero comics per se, but just comics in general.

Digital Art is so cool honestly. I am so bad at doing digital art but I love seeing others do it because it's really awesome. I've tried it before too and I realized "Yeah, not my thing." How long have you been doing digital art?

I got a tablet when I was twelve but I didn't really pick up on it until I was thirteen, I think. Photoshop is super hard to learn, so it was daunting, and going from traditional to digital is a weird shift. Do you mainly do traditional art? What's your medium of choice?

Yeah, most of my art friends do digital art and they tell me how hard it was for them to pick it up but they still love it. I can see how weird that must have been to change from one thing to another. I love love pastels with a passion! But I use these fine tip pens and sharpies the most nowadays. I really love the clean look they give.

I do all sorts of art, since I have a fine art degree, but at the moment all I do is anime style fanart (sketching and digital) and film scenery shots with my dslr.
