  • ^ Thanks guys!

I had order the collector's box set for AFYCSO and the deluxe edition of Pretty. Odd. as a bday gift to myself tehe and they BOTH arrived at my door today.
omg I am so psyched, and I will be spending the rest of forever admiring all this beautiful Panic goodness.

  • ^ If I had money, I would totally do that. tehe Sadly, I don't. I would love to experience Live In Denver without the interference from YouTube ads. XD

  • I had downloaded it somewhere. If I can't find the link, maybe I'll try to upload it. It's all in pieces-- each song is its own video-- but maybe that's better than YouTube.
If I wasn't technologically stupid, I'd try to rip it from the DVD, but alas.

  • Mum and I are massive Smashing Pumpkins fans and I found the Tonight, Tonight cover and was totally not expecting what I heard. Mom literally fell in love with it and had me play it on my phone five or six times tehe I love how Panic actually made an awesome song better, sort of like how HIM made Wicked Game better.

  • @ oh. nostalgia: Wow! that's seriously beautiful! The mix of FOB and Panic is lovely! I'm totally jealous. I would love to get a Panic tattoo myself. I already know what I want, I just need to find sheet music for Northern Downpour vocals somewhere first...

@automatic girl: That's my favorite cover by Panic (and that means a lot, since I've heard all of them, except for those one the latest US tour) did! I find it so beautiful that I actually cried the first time I heard it.

  • @Gem Three Days Grace did a cover of Wicked Game, too.

Ugh, I need Panic! to come my way. ;-; Stupid Connecticut.

  • So, I got this issue of NYLON magazine yesterday, and going throguh it I just found a surprise picture of Brendon and Butch Walker. Anyone want me to try and scan it up??

  • Do it. tehe

I'm on vacation right now and a couple days ago we were driving out of Vegas through Summerlin and the whole time I was like Weird Brendon lived here.

  • Everyone see the new fall tour dates? I'm so pumped!
As much as I'd like to go to the DC show on Halloween (cuz god, that's probably going to be awesome), I'm probably going to the Philly date a few days later.
    August 5th, 2011 at 01:24am
  • @SJS: Before you go through all the trouble of scanning it, I think I might be able to help you with that. I assume you're talking about this picture? Gosh, Brendon looks like such a young boy there!

@ Oh nostalgia: I'm mostly pumped because of the 'you overseas, we'll get to you soon' part, haha... Still bummed that at the moment they'll be playing Pukkelpop in two weeks, I'll be half an hour away at the dentist's. Sigh...

  • In my opinion, they are THE BEST BAND EVER. yes caps is needed to express my love for them! I might get to see them in concert this Fall! I wish they didn't split.... Its like having divorced parents... You get 2 bands to listen to! Well if you like them then you should read my fan/band fic called "Watermelon Smiles". Leave me a MESSAGE or COMMENT on my PROFILE or STORY telling me what you think, because I probably wont really read replies here. Let me know you read my story because of this post, so I know where you got the idea to read this:)

  • Man, I knew that IWSNT was a big video when it came out, especially when they won a MTV award, but I didn't know it was going to be nominated for this. It's like video of the decade or something and it would be awesome if they won! XD So go vote!

  • So, I can't decide.

I've got permission to see one more concert this year, and I'm torn between seeing Panic again on October 23rd, or seeing Cobra. Of course, Cobra's a little bitch and hasn't announced tour dates (tehe i kid!) so I don't know if they'll technically be in 2011 or 2012 when I can see them. Panic's tickets are pretty cheap - $28.50 each and it would probably be just me and my brother - but if Cobra goes to House Of Blues I'll be able to see them no matter what year it is since mom loves that venue, but pretty much i can't decide who to see.

I saw Panic earlier this year (late Mayish?) but I would seriously love to see them again, and I've not seen Cobra yet.

  • ^ From the singles released, I'm pretty much under the impression that Cobra's new album isn't going to be all that good. Those tracks were more club music than anything. They're still great live and everything, but I happen to like it a lot more when Ryland's strapped to a guitar and Suarez is ripping out some killer bass slides, and I have a feeling that they'll play songs that won't call for that as much. And I honestly wouldn't count on them playing House of Blues... Who says they're next tour isn't opening up for Katy Perry? Because that's definitely the direction they're heading.

So I'd say Panic. God, I'd kill to see them live.

  • ^ i've actually been eating up the singles they've been releasing, and i honestly quite like katy perry XD yeah, i'm thinking though that they're going to hit up more of a place like the forum or orpheum, and we're not allowed to do shows there. she likes the smaller environment better and the ritz is pretty decent.

but, i dunno. there are more complications with the panic show (getting a group together, figuring out if my brother's driving or if we're getting a ride, if we're going with mom, etc) so cobra's simpler that way. i suppose i'll think about it and decide in september and if there are still tickets and cobra's not released dates, i'll talk mom into it for panic.

they were really great live when we saw them, though the crowd and venue suck the more that i think about it, so i feel slightly cheated of the ~panic experience~. i suppose that does need to be rectified...

  • I'd say see Panic. But it's up to you. I'm a bit biased seeing as I don't listen to Cobra all that much.

I wish I lived in the US actually, so I could see them. Unfortunately they haven't announced dates for the UK yet.

I've got nothing against Katy Perry or anything, it's just that the new singles are much more decidedly mainstream than they've been in the past. They're looking to Top 40, no doubt about that, and big venues come along with it.

I saw Cobra live before Hot Mess in this really small venue… Gosh, it was awesome. I think it was probably their last small-ish tour and I'm glad I got to see them then.
