I've been writing since I was 5, but that doesn't mean it's good. tehe
Harry Potter is probably a big inspiration, because I adore it.
A Spoonful of Jam by Michelle Magorian. I read it when I was quite young and I was so proud of myself for reading it because it was about 300 pages. Wow
    Jacqueline Wilson.
The Noughts and Crosses trilogy, definitely. I read the first book when I was 12 or 13 and I was inspired.
The Knife of Never Letting Go has, as well as The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
    Before I Die. Cry
A lot of good books have made me want to write.

Harry Potter, since I was part of the target audience for its' entirety, and J.K. Rowling is fantastic at what she does.

Also, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy really inspired me. Douglas Adams' writing shows me that comedy can be incorporated into anything - even a story about the Earth being obliterated about nineteen times. Or nineteen million. I lost count.

I always loved writing, but I just never pushed myself, I just wrote whatever and didn't go back an fix it. But now I have the drive to do the best that I can.

The book that made me realize I wanted to be an author was Claudia Gray's "Evernight". She put a real twist on it, I would have never guessed the ending from the first chapter like I can in some other books.

I want to be able to do that too.

Harry Potter case here too I guess. I don't know why but when I read the topic, the first book which came to my mind was Harry Potter. Maybe because it was the first book that I really loved but overall, many books have "freshen" up my will to write.

though I didn't very much like the books (at all) it sparked my love for all things supernatural

    Any Stephen King book
It's the reason my stories tend to have a huge amount of violence :)

    Twilight.....because I knew I could do better.
    I LOVE THIS. Clap

Well, for me it has to be Harry Potter. For it being the only book, to me, that can be reread a hundered times and still be interesting. File and that inspired me to write a book. HA. Strange.

Wow! that is such a good question. I got into reading because of Harry Potter, but that's not the question. I guess the answer to that would have to be that there wasn't any single book that did. I just loved literature and wanted to create my own world like the people who wrote my favorite books.

    So i did. : )

And i know this is very "Stephenie Meyer" but i had a Night Terror when i was in 8th grade and I wrote it down and that really matured me as a writer.

Damn, that book is awesome, man. It inspired me a lot and made me continue writing, as well as give me an idea or two. So yeah, this one.

I don't really have a book that made me want to be a writer. IT was actually the video game The Legend of Zelda that got me into writing. But there are books that have kept me writing:

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
    Fight Club byChuck Palahniuk
    American Psycho by Brett Ellis
World War Z by Max Brooks.
