These two sentences stuck with me for months before I actually used them for anything:
Gerard’s pretty sure by now his heart is a violent shade of black and blue. If not, it’s got to be that tell-tale, sickening yellow-green, the color of fading pain that somehow still aches when thought of, the faint burning of old heartbreak.
    -Gorgeous Bruises

    and also,

His love is almost tangible, like the air is thinning and he can reach out and touch the moon and the tips of the stars.
    -Moon

Really awesome idea for a topic, by the way! Wow

This was actually just the description of I Still Hate You.

"Is love really unconditional? Love is a strange lie of a word that can't express exactly when you are suppose to feel it."

    I just liked it. -shrugs-

Humm... This is a hard one...
In my recent poem: Alone the very first stanza, which was a couplet (that rhymed too!) was:
    "Laughing away the tears,
    and whittling away the fears."

I have others, but they are in a story that I do not have typed up... I should probably go back to it, and re-type the thing... Post it up again and have some fun with it. I'll post later when I find it (there's over 100 loose leaf pages to sift through).

Not sure if it's my favourite line ever, but my favourite from Starboy so far is this:

He’s halfway amusing, this dishevelled prince - a watered down, schizophrenic mix of wilting sunflowers and white steeds, punctured with this odd youthful vigour .

This is my favourite poetry line: The sky blinks, and wipes away the tears as the rain peters out to a drizzle and finally stops. It heaves a great sigh; the earth has been cleansed, ready to start afresh, and forget the hurt that has come before.

    I like rain.

Beautiful alliteration in such an ugly situations. (From To the Bones.)

I told very few people about it but not my mother. She would just want to coddle me and send me to some freak psychiatrist who would use big words that I would not understand and prescribe some kind of medication to make me even more depressed.

The bench had been chipped and had names and little hearts carved into it. It even had their names, in little delicate writing declaring Amelia’s love for Finley. Much like most of the girls that had carved their names and their boyfriends onto this tattered wooden bench. It was there forever, on this stupid bench and it meant nothing to anyone else but them and they liked that. It was nobody but theirs.

    -

"...and the last thought he ever thinks is how the stars don’t look like stars at all—they look more like glitter, shiny little freckles splashed across the black skin of the universe." (The Stars Don't Know My Name)

"...he sang for the judges and he sang for the stars and he sang and willed the world to listen." (Third Time's the Glam)

"Sky’s a pretty orange, dandelions colored with polluted bee guts..."(Sons of Daedalus)

"...I kind of love you something awful, actually." (A Handful of Maybes)

"And he has eyes like periwinkle mines, pure as a mid-morning sky, and when he smiles it's like glitter in a glass of water, shimmering like you wouldn't believe." (Adam)

"...trying to convince our hearts that we matter more than a second glance, a less-than-a-second-long blink." (Padlock)

"And then there was nothing but loneliness, dry in the crackling air and the ever-winding spin of memories too-far gone, but they tasted the same in heartache; the texture of hope on chapped lips that told them that one kiss won't make it all okay, but perhaps a thousand more might be enough."(Mercury)

"...all tousled angel-hair pasta braids and fairy-toothed grins and apples in her cheeks."(Blowing Bubbles)

"...but all he can think about is how the bruises look kind of pretty, all purple and yellow and black and red like a polluted rainbow or sunset-colored shit, and how he knows he's sorry for this, for all of this."(Where the Light Exists)

"And then he smiles, he smiles, oh how he smiles."(Smear It Splendid)

“You’re my better.”(Before the Song Dies)

"...and the world, with all its rules and words and tomorrows, tries to seek its lost children as they hide away, misplaced somewhere in time." (Midsweet Talk, Words Cut Out)

"...her heart spat out into her half-filled glass..." (Amnesia Says)

“I’ll save you,” he swears; and to the end, he does, but he doesn’t save himself." (Mind If We Collide?)

'Right then watching Adam through his reflection on the mirror, Kris didn’t feel the sting when the wet cotton touched his cut. He only felt his heart flutter.'

From my kradam one shot 'CUT.' :tehe:

'She was his first love. She was his first kiss – passionate and honest. It happened when they were waiting for the rain to stop under the bus stop, he held her close and she leaned onto him.'

'They lingered for a moment; both enjoying being in each other’s arms. It had been a long while since they felt each other’s warmth, and they missed it terribly.'

"“I love you.” Gerard said, and I knew he’d meant it. I could hear the truth in his voice. It was so sincere, so honest, I just couldn’t appreciate it when he had a gun barrel pressed against his forehead." From Falling Down

I don't know why, I was just really proud of that.

His twin -- identical -- and his love. And his lover. The two are never synonymous because fucking someone does not constitute love.

    From For the Looking Glass.

All he can manage to do is let his eyes flicker shut like an electrical surge has occurred and just feel. Feel how warm and soft and rather like cocaine on rose petals they were.

:tehe: I have a few, one’s that my readers pointed out because it made them laugh:

This one is from My Holly:

She bit her lip, thinking it over for a moment, “In art we’re doing painting, and the topic this week is animals,” she suddenly smiled, “Can you guess what I’m going to paint, Tom?”

    “Oliver?” I grinned.

This was another one people found funny:

I don’t know, Holly!” Luke once again sounded irritated with her, “buy a crystal ball and find out for yourself!” he snapped.

“I would, but I don’t understand all the funny German money,” she retorted.

The humour behind that comes in because there was a part in the story where the girl, Holly, didn’t understand the German currency and had to get someone to help her, but was irritating her older brother at the same time because of it.

I just love adding a little humour into what’s actually a deep story, and so, the comical relief is what I like putting in best and have become some of my favourite lines within the entire story.
