This is my favourite from Crossed the Line. More of a little paragraph than a line, but I love it so, job well done to me. tehe

"“Shit,” he whispered and eyes darted around the room nervously. When they stopped at something on the floor he stared back at me in a panic. “Shit,” he said again more loudly, and at my questioning gaze he pointed at it. My eyes followed his arm and I gulped as I saw something that looked suspiciously like an empty condom wrapper poking out from under my discarded underwear."

I just wrote a beautiful line for my story Regina Saxony (aka the best thing I've ever composed, so far) and I was just like wow this is some real e.e. cummings meets hemmingway stuff right here son

"It’s her haven where she wildly deconstructs and reconstructs what she sees (beyond what is actually there and beyond what the mind can conceal.) It is hers."

This is from an unposted diary entry-type thing. I wrote it when I was with my family in New York about a month ago.

We’re all characters. Not the cartoon characters I draw in my notebooks, not the ones I create and write stories about, but the kinds of characters you meet in real life, the ones that end up caricatured in movies even though their untouched spirit is compelling enough to write novels about. The ones that are real, the ones you fall in love with after spending just an hour with them.

I never posted this story, but there's a line in it that says:
"Are you angry?" "Am I angry? Ha, I'm nine miles past angry!"
I died of laughter when I wrote it

I couldn’t place it; it was like I was trying to piece a puzzle together but all I had was a blank piece in a sea of colours. This has been my favourite line I have written ever since I wrote it two years ago

But then I looked out my bedroom window to see the streets busy with the rush of peak hour traffic, and in that moment I realised something. Time does not stand still, the world keeps on spinning, life goes on and I don’t need you. — Lotus.

I'm not sure about ever but this is for an unposted piece titled Lips:
I can’t stop kissing you. I don’t want to stop kissing you. I could kiss you forever. I’d like to. Basic, but I think it's kinda sweet.

I don't know even why I like it so much, but this is my favorite quote so far-
"„You’re not? And I’m here sitting and thinking- how a blind person can possibly drive a car, but it turns out you’re not fucking blind! I’m so, so sorry, man.” Danger Line

I never posted the story but whenever I revisit it, I always tell myself how great of a line it is.
"It doesn't take all muscle to hurt one's ego."

Doesn't say much in my opinion but I thought it was still good.

It's not so much a line as it is a small paragraph, but I was super proud of myself for it.

She didn’t know how to live with the feeling of his fingers passing through her skin rather than grasping and holding. She didn’t know how to live with the intangible longing for something—someone—that didn’t fully exist anymore. He hadn’t existed for nearly a decade when she found him, when he found her. He wasn’t magic and he wasn’t sweet. He, his phantasm existence, was distant, ethereal, and obsolete.

If I have to give a line because my paragraph doesn't count, then:
‘Busy’ just felt like another sugar-coated word for ‘horrendously and terribly depressed.’Obedear

"I have been hurt in the past, you see, and this is the only way I have thought to right the wrongs that have been done onto me." - Saving Cicely

I don't know why I like this line so much; to me it is just so sad and I never thought I could portray such sadness in a story.

When I had been little, my mother and I would wander around dark car parks, sometimes with me in the front of a rattily shopping cart. It was a little game we played. It was only as I grew older that I realised we were looking for my father, who, in the height of his alcoholism, had a penchant for falling asleep in 7-11 car parks, too embarrassed to come home.

I love this, but I don't know why. I set about wanting to convery some sort of preservation of innocence despite circumstance, and I think this does it well.

    “JOHN MAKES YOU HAPPY, YES?”

As I slowly nod, I can feel my lips frowning. I wanted to tell him all the feelings twisting in chest, but I couldn't say anything.

With his hand resting under his chin, it looked like the sun has touched him. Kian's licking his lips and staring at me with his warm eyes when he says the last thing I want to hear.

“THEN WHY DON’T YOU FEEL THE LEAST BIT ADORED?”

I wrote this when I first started Kian in 2009. I kept some but edited most it for the final version.

"His left hand contains his Faustian symbol, which glows like an amethyst stone under the sun." - Unhinged and Disgusting

Idk, there's something about that brief description that makes me so proud of myself. XD
