Which Character Are You the Most Attached To?

Christian, Trevor, and Bunny from "The Journal". Sometimes if I don't write on that story for a while or I don't reread it every so often I actually start to miss them. >.>

I think anyone I write about, I'm most attached to. Otherwise, I wouldn't write about them.
I can't sit, & write a fic about someone I dislike, or don't have interest in.

So therefore, I'll say I'm attached to everyone I write about. [Maybe minus Freddy Krueger, 'cause he gives me the freaking creeps. Which is why I've only written one fic with him. ]

Right now it would have to be Z from The Aftermath of a Car Crash.
I think there is so much in her character that is unique and different.
And even though it isn't technically her story, in a way it is. And you see a lot of that through Ryan.

The ones that remain nameless. The background characters that are the inspiration for the story itslef, but never mentioned. They are just there.

I'm growing to become really attatched to Doug Tater in Bus.
Whenever I write him, the voice in his narration is just so entertaining and interesting to come up with. He's so cynical and pessimistic and he doesn't even give a shit who knows about it. It's like there's a permanent raincloud over his head in his imagination and he doesn't even want to open an umbrella. But I can't decide whether to give him some luck and make him smile, or just kick him when he's down and make him say more wittily depressing remarks.

I haven't written it yet, but I can tell I'm going to get attached to Sam in Reckless.

Jackie from Leave this Town (and it's prequel, of course).
She was the main character in the first story I stuck out here on mibba, I'll be sad when I finish her story, but I'll probably end up writing random one-shots about her & Embry

I think Sunday Phillips from The Only Exception. She was the first character that I wrote that I really fell in love with, in a way. I wanted to help her, to make things okay for her, to see her happy, and when I had to write something that I knew was going to make her sad, it killed me a little bit. She has so much of the things that frighten me in her, but at the same time, so much childish optimism that makes me wish she was real.

The story hasn't exactly turned out the way I'd hoped, but even so, I'm going to miss her when it's over.

A guy called Alex from the first story I ever wrote. I don't ever feel comfortable naming a character 'Alex' because he's the only Alex that I could ever have ;) Sounds lame and cheesy. ;) And Frankie Small. Nuff' said.

Kayla from Extra Credit. She's just...she feels like she's my twin, and it's going to be incredibly hard to put her through what she's about to face.

I'm also rather attached to Savannah, from Love For Sale. And Cam, from the same story. I still feel really, really, really bad about what happens.

As weird as this sounds, I am most attached to Frank (the victim) and Soft Hazel Eyes, if you can call one of multiple personalities in a person his own character, from my rape fic "The Two Sides of Black Blood in the Dark."

I suppose I like Frank because the story is in his POV, so you get to see his internal struggle throughout the ordeal. I can relate to being the victim, so I want to pluck him up out of the story and save him, holding him close.

Soft Hazel Eyes is one of Gerard's personalities. I'm not sure why I am so attached to a rapist. I kind of feel like he was a victim too. He was trapped between trying to make the unnamed, harsher personality happy and trying to care for Frank as much as he could.

I'm just really attached to that whole story. I feel like it's the best thing I've ever written. I keep rereading it trying to figure out who really wrote it and where it came from.

I have to say Essence and Jamal in Extranormal. They're amazing to each other (not couple wise, brother and sister wise) and other people. I don't know, I like writing from the point of view of intelligent characters so I can use my "big words", which I can't do with my character Tyrone in Dream Life and it sometimes kills me.

I actually feel the same way.

The first ever fanfic I wrote I named the main character Riley. I became really attached to her because she was very much like my best friend at the time. That fic was about 90 chapters long and I wrote it over 2 years, so it felt weird when it ended. That's why now it would feel really strange to name another girl character Riley because it would feel as if I were writing about her again.

Harley Davidson in Escaping Reality. Every time I think about her I get excited in the 'oh she's so amazing' kind of way. She was kidnapped and abused and when finally found, it turns out she has a multiple personality disorder and is crazy as hell. There's something about her that draws you in, and my other characters - including me - will love her. I know I already do.

I haven't even written his story yet and I'm already super attached to Andy Allen of Generation Why Bother. Maybe it's because we both love cartoons and we both have our heads in the clouds when it comes to our dreams. He creates characters that he gets too attached to all the time, and he knows he's stuck in his own little world and he wants to wake up, but he just can't. When I'm really into writing a story, I'm the same way. It's something that just can't be helped, really.

I'm already attached to Scotty O'Roarke from Missing. I know his background since I obviously came up with the character and I just want to hug him and hold him and make sure he's okay. He's so strong in more ways than one and I just hope people will see that. I'm getting excited at the thought of writing more about him because he's such a unique and individual character for me to be writing and I'm so glad I have done so.

I'm getting pretty attached to Aris because he's really just a way of venting, but its getting pretty fun to work him and his story. I'm making a lot of progress in learning to develop a clean, clever plot through him and his character is one that I've been dreaming of writing about for the longest time. Lucy's my angel too, but more because I just pity the kid so much, aha.

Jan, I can't help it. I see so much of myself in her and April (obviously, that's why I've written them), but my witch is in Jan and I am so close to that character. I just want to hug her.

Skye is possibly the character I'm most attached to out of all my stories. She is kind and caring but quick witted and rash. I see myself within her, I have created her, given her a life that she is struggling to live by. I have watched her grow within my brain and so far, she's become a beautiful woman. Not only all of this, but the way I've written her is what gets me attached too. She's much more real than my other characters and a lot less dense. She's human and for once in my writing career, my character finally has depth and emotion! She's not a Mary Sue!

I love her.

Either Anna or Dahlia. I haven't submitted a huge amount of writing onto the site, but Anna is so complex and you know that no matter how smart you think you may be, you'll never understand her point of view. Dahlia was just such a strong woman in such a short space of time, and the way she coped through her relationship, then the breakup, then came out as an even stronger woman was so amazing. And I wrote her to do that.
