My dad dragged me to see it a few days ago because he reaaaaally wanted to see it on the big screen, and I thought it was going to be the most boring move I'd ever seen. I absolutely adored it and I definitely did not expect to.

    The Prince of Egypt
I did not like this movie when I first saw it when I was a kid, but I had to watch it again for a religion class I took last year and it blew me away.

Honestly, I had thoughts about Beautiful Creatures, but I actually looove that movie.

And recently I just watched This Is 40 for the first time, and I thought I'd hate it, but it turned out to be really good.

Pacific Rim. I was expecting it to be another man vs monster thriller, but it was way more than that. Newt was fabulous, Raleigh was heroic, and there was a whole backstory to it that made you feel like you were just missing something.

Does anyone else think the Lego movie trailer looks hilarious? I mean, it's legos, but I might actually end up seeing it. Really.

Also seriously, Now You See Me was a lot better than I expected. Lot more too it and funnier than I thought it would be, and exciting.

The newest Carrie. I don't like remakes of classic horror movies, because I feel the ruin the original magic with their over excitable idiots and stupid scripts. But Carrie was awesome.
Third Star was so much more than I expected, I only watched it because of Benedict Cumberbatch but it was fantastic.

The Lego Movie. I was expecting it to be okay but it was awesome and hilarious and the voice acting was great.

The snail movie "Turbo" was surprisingly sooo much better than I thought it would be. I saw the trailer while watching another movie... I think the Croods in a movie theater. At first I thought: not bad, I wouldn't pay to watch it though...

And I didn't! Saw it at home with the siblings when it it came out. It's absolutely charming! I definitely recommend to those with younger siblings... or an animated movie lover like myself. <3

It's an older one, but Rush. I thought it'd be a stupid movie about racing and cars, which I have literally no interest in, but it was so much better.

I honestly didn't think Frozen was going to be as good as the trailers made it out to be but after watching it, it was a lot better then the trailers made it out to be and the song! In Love I haven't felt this attached to a movie since Brave or maybe The Princess and the Frog.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I thought it would be good but, as I wasn't a huge fan of the first CA movie, I wasn't prepared for how much I'd like the second one.

Both Frozen and Tangled. I thought each of the trailers were terrible, so I had lower expectations for them. But they ended up being great movies. Disney really needs to improve their teasers if you ask me xD

The newest Percy Jackson movie, honestly. The first one was so awful that I didn't have high expectations for the second one and I only gave it a chance because some people said that it was better—even then, I didn't go into that movie expecting much after how bad the first one was. I was pleasantly surprised. They put an effort in that time; it wasn't perfect but it was a lot better.

Rurouni Kenshin, both of them were great surprises.

I've watched the anime and read the manga when I was a kid and I absolutely loved the story. Besides, I'm obsessed with samurai movies, must have watched about all samurai movies ever made tehe These are the two reasons why I was super skeptical when I found out about the first movie, it was completely by accident and I almost passed up watching it, but I'm glad I didn't, I absolutely love it.

When I heard about a second movie being shot, I really worried because my expectations were pretty high. Last night I saw it and it turned out even more amazing than I expected. I just have no words how describe how awesome is this movie.

They're doing such a great job with the actions scenes, and the fight choreography is brilliant In Love I like how they've kept true to the manga as much as possible. Maybe it's because I'm not normally fussed with things being different in original works/movies, but I'm not bothered at the slightest by the adaptations they've done. I understand why some people are upset with a few things, e.g. the way they drastically changed Kaoru's character from the manga/anime, but meh. It works in the movies, so I'm happy.

Into the Storm. I just went for the special FX, but it had all that plus action, comedy, and heartfelt drama. They packed a good story into only 89 minutes worth of film.

Just finished watching Pompeii which was pretty damn good. The fight sequences were amazing, whoever choreographed them deserves all the awards. And Kit Harrington.....hubba hubba Wink

The Purge 2. I thought it was going to suck, because come on. I loved the first movie they made, and I thought it was going to be like another Paranormal Activity kind of thing, you know? Where the first one was good, but they should have left it at that.

But, god, no. The second purge was AMAZING. It had me completely on the edge of the seat in theaters. Also, they hinted for a third movie at the end of it, so fingers crossed that I am right! I can't wait to see what else they have in store.

Let's Be Cops. Honestly, I was forced to see it. I thought it was going to be bad. You know, like one of those comedy movies that just.. aren't even funny and feel like were put together (plot wise) in about .0003 seconds? It was actually really good and I laughed the entire time lmfao

Guardians of the Galaxy. I mean, I did go in expecting it to be good, but wow, I did not expect it to be as great as it was. I really enjoyed it, and I left the theatre with this great feeling. I'd even say it's probably one of the better movies I've seen this year ^.^

Now You See Me. I thought it was interesting but I didn't expect to be sucked in right away like that!

Prisoners, also. The trailers made it look good but honestly, it was such a whirlwind that I didn't want to look away from!

My Bloody Valentine, also. The re-make with Jensen Ackles in it. tehe My friend told me about it and I watched it thinking it was going to be stupid and just like all the other horror movies out there, but I was pleasantly surprised by the ending!
