I was hesitant about it because of Russell Brand, but the movie was really funny. I was impressed.

The Hangover & Due Date... usually I'm not one for comedies at all, so I was expecting a pointless waste of time that wouldn't make me laugh. But, in all honesty, they were funny as hell!

Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides. I expected it to be horrible where it, was not only the 4th in a series which is almost always pushing it, but didn't have Kiera(or however you spell it) Knightly or Orlando Bloom.

I didn't want to see Rango, because I thought it was just going to be another kids movie about love and shit, and it turned out to be super fun ;)

It was bad, so bad but I was expecting a hell of a lot worse for it.

I avoided that movie for so long because I can't stand Ben Affleck, but since my brother rented it on the weekend I decided to finally watch it. It definitely wasn't like I thought it would be. It was a lot better.

    Snakes on a Plane.

    Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
Honestly, I thought the whole movie would be Hatter based and the title character would be cast aside as some sort of secondary character. I am extremely picky about my Wonderland movies.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.

    The Princess and the Frog.
The second time around. I was very angry the first time I watched this because it was marketed as a Disney princess movie and I still defend it is not. The main reason being it is not set in a fantasy land like every other Disney princess movie. (Mulan is also not a damn Disney princess.) Anyway, when I watched it the second time without expecting a princess movie, I liked it more. Still not my favorite 'cause I'm not a fan of jazz, but so much better than the first time around.

I know it's a weird choice, but it's actually not bad.

THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Cheese It looked interesting from the trailer, but I wasn't too jazzed to see it, but I did and I literally fell in love the moment the opening credits started. I got so engrossed and was just blown away. Especially by Rooney Mara. I was not expecting her to be that good, at all. She deserved that Oscar nomination. It's just a great movie all around.

The Help. It looked good in the trailer, and I'm a huge Emma Stone fan, so I was expecting it to be good, but I didn't think it would move me as much as it did. I wouldn't stop talking about it for days afterwards. I cried about three or four different times. I have a big poster of it. Weird

Bridesmaids. Seriously. The people who claim it's "just another chick flick" are seriously mistaken. When my best friend and I saw it, there were five or six guys in the theater and they were laughing their asses off. I didn't expect it to be that funny, but I was literally crying with laughter. lmfao

The Last Exorcism. I don't really like movies about possesion (aside from The Exorcist), and the whole documentary-type style is so overdone nowadays, but the plot was not what I was expecting at all. And I think it's pretty awesome that all the crazy contorting that the main actress did in the film was real and had no special effects. That takes talent. The ending was confusing and kind of stupid, but overall I was really impressed with it. They're making a sequel. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

My parents have a very bad habit of trying to get me to watch all their favourite films from the 80s and 90s, but with the worst explanations ever. They made Wayne's World seem really dull, even though it's now one of my favourite films, and they definitely didn't do Bill And Ted justice.

Monty Python's The Life Of Brian is another one I really enjoyed.

    Snow White and the Huntsman.

I was only excited about it because I think Chris Hemsworth is very attractive and he's good with those 'hero' type roles, so I knew it'd suit him. However, I didn't expect Kristen Stewart to play Snow White so well; I think she did an amazing job portraying her.

I expected it to be cheesy like those low budget movies but it was REALLY funny and it is now one of my favorite rom-com of all time Very Happy

    Then it was absolutely amazing!

John Carter. I expected a Star Wars knock-off, an while all space operas have very similar qualities, I loved the plot and the ending. I think I gasped out loud when the vault opened at the end. Shocked

The Outsiders. I had read the book and thought making a movie out of it would just be terrible, but when I watched it my mind was blown. I even went out and bought it.
