I was just thinking earlier today that it would kinda be a sweet idea if Dujo (or even someone else) made a Mibba App for the Ipod Touch/Iphone because I'm sure that a lot of people have them and I know that it can be annoying if you're without a computer and you've got to use the internet brower. And lots of other things have apps like Facebook, Twitter and even LiveJournal.

That would be an incredibly difficult and time-consuming task. A couple of my roommates and some of their friends have a video game company, and are working on developing an iPhone app for a third-party commissioner, and so far it's taken them months to get as far as they have...and it'll take them far longer to finish the thing. Facebook, Twitter, and Livejournal have apps because they have teams of hired professionals that were able to work on them. Mibba doesn't.

Not really, it seems surpurflous because it is a writing community, not a site souly bent on communing with friends. I can't even figuer where that could be applicaple...there isn't a "keep up with friends" tab on the directory....

Is the demand for this worth how much time/effort it would take to make it? I mean, how many people on Mibba even have the device that would use this? Is it enough that this would be beneficial?

^ I can't imagine that enough people would use it for it to be worth it.
I mean, tonnes of people have iPhones and iPod touches and stuff, but it's probably not, y'know, even half of us.

I'm not really familiar with the phone applications - what are they exactly and what do they do?

Mibba already works perfectly on any iPod, Blackberry or iPhone I've ever used, if you go through Safari. It would be a bit pointless to put so much time and money into something so unnecessary. Think

^ I agree. Especially since, from my personal experience with the facebook app, the apps can be harder to navigate than safari.

Yeah. I just use my cell phone (nothing special; an old Verizon flip-phone) and I can still see Mibba and comment around on it.

I can't see Mibba on my phone. But I can't get apps either.

I know it wouldn't benefit me and if it already works on other phones, I really don't see the point.

I don't think I'd use the app. I just check mibba on my phone from now and then. And it works perfectly fine for me just going through the phone internet. But I don't think I'd ever use an app for it. I don't think a mibba app would be as popular as it should be for the work it'd have to include.

I would use the app. I think it would be easier than using Safari. Possibly quicker. I wouldn't mind having to wait for it to be developed. It doesn't even need to have the forums and such. Just the actual written work.
    Just my opinion.

I would use the app, I have an Iphone and it can be a little frustrating using the safari for mibba. I think it would be popular and might even make mibba get even more users.

I'd probably use the app; I have an iPod touch and a Motorola Droid.
But maybe instead of using it to submit stories and everything, it's just used to read stories, comment them, check profile comments... simple things like that?

Other things like posting stories and poems and whatnot would be a hassle for the user--sometimes the app could crash, and the next thing you know you're pissed off because you pretty much lost an entire chapter.

But can't you use the internet on your iPod touch to view Mibba and on your phone, as well?

When I use my friend's iPod, I can do everything on Mibba with that internet browser. Same goes for my blackberry (even though it's a pretty old model). The only thing I can't do, is view my profile comments.

I think it's kind of senseless to have an app. I mean, I borrow my friend's iPod all the time to check Mibba and I can check everything on Mibba and comment on journals and stories. You can do everything on the browser and it's very comfortable to do everything that needs to be done. Reading stories on the iPod is also very easy.

A Mibba app would be nice...
    But not worth it.

    1. You can just go on Mibba using Safari on your iPhone or whatever, and it works fine.
    2. Who's going to make it? It's time-consuming, and hiring professionals to make it isn't worth it, either.
    3. Who's going to use it? For starters, there aren't nearly as Mibbans as there are Facebook, Twitter, etc. users. Secondly, out of all the Mibbans, tons are either inactive, don't have an iPhone, or both.

Fun idea, though. (: But I doubt it's going to happen.
