Oh this is so my thread! I am the Queen of Porn!! Lol jk. I write all NC-17 so if you wanna check out some of my stuff you can. i got plenty of smutty one shots. I'm not the best smut writer but if anyone needs any pointers i would love to help some of you out. Writing sex scenes is difficult but when you get into it it can be a lot of fun.

I've only just ventured back into writing sex scenes. I've only ever written two in my life, one in a really old slash story, wasn't my best writing mind you, and the second on my current story. Which is miles better I think, only because I've read plenty of decent sex scenes, and many more really bad ones. I get really nitpicky about how sex scenes go. XD

I feel so awkward while writing sex scenes. I used to be good at it but now I just have no idea what I'm doing.

Maybe it's because I've never done the sex

Doing the sex is overrated to writing sex scenes. I wrote my first sex scene (which sucked) at 12 and I wasn't 20 until I lost my virginity, 21 to a guy. And I've never had guy/guy sex, which is what I write so I'll never have that experience to go off of.

I just recommend reading lots and lots of smut. If you write it, you get a feel and a rhythm for it, imo.

I'm not really good at writing sex scenes (and I tend to avoid them) but I use a masterlist of resources when it is absolutely necessary: here. I hope it is of any help Mr. Green

I once got some advice from a friend on here (Sunber, to be exact) about writing sex scenes and I think it's the best advice I've ever gotten. She said to make sure you're not just describing what's happening but what the characters are feeling as well. For every running on fingers on skin, there is a chill, a race of the heart, etc. It's important to have a balance, so try not to go overboard with any one part of it.
