Just listened to the studio version of Time Bomb and it sounds so so poppy! Don't know what to think of it! I thought Dirty Work was supposed to be more edgier and less polished than Nothing Personal.

Seeing them live on Tuesday so hopefully it'll sound better live. I love ATL but do they really need to be so polished and poppy?

I also just listened to the studio verson of Time Bomb... I'm not sure, it sounds like one of those songs written specifically for the radio, cuz it's just so... I dunno how to describe it xD
I do love the lyrics, though :]

All Time Low brought me great friends (through their official boards and the ones on here) but I'm never going to feel the same way about them as I did a few years ago.

I like the lyrics in it too but it sounds too manufactured. Too finished...

I love the band. I really do. I'm seeing them on Tuesday but I think I'll only really be excited to hear the older songs.

I agree with Charis on this. It feels like this album is gonna be just like Nothing Personal. Both in style and sound but also how it's probably not gonna have such an impact on me.

I'm expecting it to be very poppy, more radio-friendly and basically songs about partying, girls and hangovers all over again. It might be good and I might enjoy listening to it in the summer but it's probably not gonna be something that sticks with me through the entire year.

I still like the boys but back in the days, their personalities were one of the main reasons why I fell for them and their music. They were care-free, funny "clowns" almost and they just created such a positive vibe around them. Now along with their music it feels as if part of their personality has changed and with the increasing fame so has also their stage performances and attitude towards the crowd and the fans.

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

    I miss them too.

I just watched STD (late, I know) and it was really good. Especially liked the parent interviews. It was really interesting to hear what they had to say about it and how it all affected them.

I miss the days when this place was always active....

the parent interviews were one of my favourite parts on the DVD...The gig part brings back butterflies of when I saw them. The last venue I saw them in was exactly like the one the filmed STD in...

    Yeah, those were the daaays.

Every time I've seen them, they've played really small venues. First time I saw them, there was only about 100 kids there. It was great XD

I feel like I'm really going to like Dirty Work. I like the new direction they're going in musically. When I listen to songs, it's more about the overall feeling than specifically lyrics or beats. The songs we've heard thus far haven't given us a full view of the musical/ lyrical/ productional value of the album. They've always been pop-ish, so I don't know why people are surprised they're going for the same vibe. Not every song is going to be this prophetic teenage anthem on being yourself or something sappy like that. They're a band that likes to have fun. So I'm happy with them if they decide to write about parties, because that's what they live. Then again, we can't count on all of the songs to be like this. They're exploring a new direction and I'm all for it.

I see a lot of you on this forum have kind of fallen out of love. And I get that. We all grow up and change our tastes. I'm not too naive to think I won't too fall out of love with All Time Low some day. But I feel as if we look to highly upon them and hold them up to the standard of PUOSU (which half of it was about sex and parties anyway). I think of this album as a new step. They're older and their tastes are older, just like ours. I'm sure I will love these new songs as much as I love the older ones, each for their own reason. (I listen to I Feel Like Dancin when I'm sad and want to cheer up as I would Weightless or The Party Scene. When I want inspiration, I listen to Lullabies or Therapy or Jasey Rae or Hometown Heroes.) I love All Time Low and I know that I will at least always respect them forever. I wish that this forum could go back to being excited for the band and upcoming tours, songs, videos, etc. =)
I just went to the Dirty Work tour last week, and it was by far the best concert I've ever been to. They're still the same four boys that love the stage that I've seen time and time before.

    I totally agree.
(Sorry for joining in randomly, please forgive me lol)

I saw them a few years back at the Six Flags I work at (St. Louis) and they were really caring towards the fans, they were signing from the stage after the show even though SF Security told them no (eventually they did get moved to a booth thing) and then no one would listen to the Security people so they had to stop, but that was no fault of their own. I saw them last month for the Dirty Work tour, and there was a long line waiting for autographs, and Alex and Jack just stood at the front of the line for about 3 minutes talking to these two girls, and then Alex went inside because it was "too cold" and Jack just rushed through the line and wouldn't even say hi to anyone.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love ATL, I think they put on a briliant, fun, live show and have some catchy songs that definitey hit home with me, but I'm just agreeing I've noticed some changes.

Not that it makes me like them any less haha.

When I met them the first time they were all nice and chatted for ages and it was all really relaxed.

Then this year when they played I met Alex and Jack the security was really badly organised ( it was the venues fault) Alex and Jack made the effort to come out and see everyone but there was a lot of pushing and pulling and the security was being rough with us. Alex and Jack tried to stop it but there was nothing they could do about it. I was one of the few people lucky enough to meet them both and talk to them before things went crazy but a lot of people didn't cause Flyzik had no choice but to make them come in because a fan would have gotten seriously hurt.

I think deep down they do still care for their fans but as they get more popular it's harder for them to see everything when they are under strict schedules.. And Alex has always made a effort to tweet and say sorry if he has to go in early or can't sign. It's usually because he is trying to keep his voice or something

Regardless, they still put on an amazing live show and make it fun for the people at it. Their shows are definitely some of the favourite gigs I've been too.

Oh and Marty I agree with you. They have changed personality wise. They know they are good and they don't hide it and don't seem to be modest about it.
And Dirty Work probably won't have an impact on me but I'm hoping that it'll still be a good album.

All time low has been my favorite band since I can remember. They have that distinct voice about them in their music. Honestly, their older stuff was great, but this newer stuff is better. I will admit, it took me a few times to like their song I feel like dancin'. I forced myself five times to listen to it and now it is one of my favorite songs. Their album is due the seventh of June and I cannot wait! I am anticipating the other songs from the previews.

I would love more than anything to go to a concert, I have never been to a concert. I cannot afford it and I have yet to see them come to Pittsburgh. From youtube videos, they sound pretty good live. Which is something most signers today do not have. Any record company can edit your voice, but the true talent lies within the live performances.
