Comment on the Story Layout

  • I think I would space them out more. If you're actually reading the story, I think it will be very awkward and weird to read if the hexagons are all crowded together and up in the left corner. For some reason, I also think the font is a bit small. Other than that, I love this layout. The colors are very nice and I do think the hexagons are quite original.

Illusive Flight. I think the font looks bit weird and could use some change. Also thinking of changing the content background. Think

  • I really like it! The font looks a little weird, but it's not a huge deal. My only suggestion would be to change the background. Don't get me wrong, I love the background, it just seems like too much with the banner background as well as the fill in the title lettering. I love the banner and the rest of the layout as well. it all seems to go well together. Cute

  • It's nice. The red border kind of hurts my eyes, even when my computer is on low brightness. When it's up all the way it's like I'm going blind. I do love the way the title is in red, though - it makes it stick out and really, really adds a nice touch. Other than the border, I love it. In Love

  • Eight. I really love the layout; the banner that you chose/ made for it is absolutely perfect. The size of the font is a good size - it's not too big, but not too small - for the readers. And I love the added waves on the bottom of the summary page. It is so adorable!

  • It's great. The colors match perfectly and it's the style I like, which is simple and elegant. I think the gap between the banner image the background is a great amount and I think it gives a happy feeling.

  • The layout is quite nice. The background is cool, but is also not distracting and/or over the top, which is great. The car in the banner is also super cute, and that just makes me happy whenever I see it, for some reason. For what I saw from the summary, the layout seems a bit too cheery for the theme, but other than that it's a pretty good layout.

  • The layout is simple, but it's not my cup of tea. The background goes well with the picture since it's all black and white, but it's....I don't know. I like the fonts you used and the sizes, but that's all I can say. I like the title as well, but I feel like the whole thing needs something....more? Think

  • Wow! It's striking, I guess, is the first thing that comes to mind. I really like the heavily-contrasted feel to the banner (which is absolutely gorgeous, by the way) and the repetition of that in the background image and the sidebar-y type thing, whatever you call it. Even though it's a little unusual to see a layout all the way over to the right, it doesn't look out of place. It's lovely. c:

  • I think that this layout is really beautiful. I love the banner picture, and the background goes really well with the buck. I usually feel as though the banner should be spread to fit the whole content section but it looks really nice as it is. The font and colors work really well also, I really like it. In Love

  • Wow, so pretty. I love the birds, not sure what they have to do with the story, but they look great. I also really love how the same bird image is "echoed" lighter in the actual content section.

My only complaint would be the coloring of the text; I am a firm believer that black-on-white is always the way to go as it's easier on the eyes, so I would prefer the text to be black and then maybe the use borders for the burgundy color you have currently. Another thing is that the title image looks slightly grainy, but other than that I think it looks really really nice.

  • I like the layout. I like the summary part (where the icons are), I like the picture you used, I like that your icons + the banner matches, and I like how simple the layout is. But the only thing I don't like is that the background doesn't match with the banner. You could use a color that's used a lot or something, I don't know. The story does look interesting though lol. (Oh btw, for some reason under "NaNoWriMo 2010/JulNoWriMo 2011." there's a repeat of ";amp;" after the 3.) Shifty

  • I really like it, especially how he transform into a wolf in the banner. That gives me a great sense of what kind of story this is/what it's about. I like the darker background with the trees and how you incorporated that light blue from the banner into the accent on the side. I always love stories that are aligned to the left instead of in the centre as well. However, something about it feels a tad off. I think perhaps it's that bit of purple in the banner in the right hand corner. It really stands out, but you've only used that pale blue to add a dash of colour. Maybe making the links that purple would even it out. That said, it is quite an eye catching and beautiful layout.

I've spent three years trying to make a layout I am somewhat satisfied with for this story and nothing fits. This attempt is closer, but not quite there yet. Concrit?

  • I like it. I like the colours and the images and the way everything works. If I had to be picky, I'd say that my terrible eyesight makes it hard for me to read the text, but whatevs I can just move closer to the screen. Anyway, I like it.

  • I like it, it's simple and I'm personally a big fan of georgia font. I can't really read the title, but I guess that doesn't matter much. I especially love the three x's as the chapter title, because I think the way you formatted it really adds to the look of the layout. Thumb up

  • I may be biased because yellow is one of my favourite colours but I adore how bold the background colour is. (Also might be because I'm Asian, but y'know tehe.) I definitely love how the girl (Rita/Cher?) is behind the story box bit but the title is in front. Now... the sort of bad news. The thing that bothers me is the way her hair is cut. Like not her haircut but like how it was cut out of the picture (if it was). Wait I just noticed the title fonts and I LOVE THEM okay anyway back to the image. I also wish it were like higher quality/sharper, because it looks blurry. As much as I like how creative it is I wish the girl were clearer. Aaaand aside from that I really adore the layout okay I love the yellow and the title and how there's no gap between the story bit and the bottom of the page. <3

Dude, I know. I made that in polyvore, so it wasn't exactly expert editing. XD And it's Cher. Weird If I'm not too lazy I'll eventually make a better cut image. Thanks for the criticism!

I looooove the color scheme. It's cool (not like "oh that's cool" but actually like, cool colors. although it is also cool), and the bold simplicity of it is what makes it so excellent. Not to mention that it shows off some hardcore editing chops and by default that impresses anyone who sees it. I've commented on my worship of your layouts before, so I don't think I need say any more but Hail

  • I don't think it's bad at all. The black/grays and white go really well together, as they should and everything looks pretty clean. The only thing I can mention really is the fact that when the content section turns into the chapter section there's a line, but I don't think that can be avoided. I think it looks fine c:

  • It's very simple and clean looking. I really like the banner image and how it matches with the words doe eyes in your chapter link. I also dig the title font, size, and colour. It really stands out more than anything else. I'm not sure how I feel about the image being larger in the chapter than the summary. I personally think it looks better cropped like in the summary than full view in the chapter. It had such a nice emphasis on the eyes that way and to see the full image kind of takes away from that.

  • 7. Simple, but maybe a little too much. It looks really like most layouts I see on here, not too much originality.
