Its usually rhe first through third, the chapters where you get all the info. out and the 4th is usually when i get into it most.

I find the first couple of chapters difficult. I want to try and make them the best I can to engage readers so I get very critical of myself and sometimes end up giving up on the story because I don't think it's good enough. Starting is usually the hardest part for me.

It's multiple chapters actually. The middle chapters, if the story is a chaptered story. If it's more than five chapters, I have trouble with the middle chapters the most. The first and last chapter are always the easiest for me. Sad

The third or fourth chapter is where is starts getting hard for me.

I tend to lose interest - and most of the time I struggle to keep myself into the story.
But then once it really gets going, I pick up the pace again. (:

The third and fourth chapters always kill my interest in a story. For some reason, there's just no drive after that. It's like, "damn, now I have to be all creative and shit".

But, yeah. Middle/beginning chapters suck, because you're getting to know the story you're writing.

Any chapter in which I introduce a major character. I want to make it really subtle like they've been there the whole time, but also be like, "Ding! Ding! Ding! This guy's imortant, people!"

The filler chapters are the hardest for me because I don't want them to be boring, but I don't want them to give away the next major even either.

When I'm ready to hit the climax.
It's just so hard for me write it all out without being sloppy or repititve with words and actions.

And that's what readers are reading that story for. The action and the climax.

I can't even do that well. Facepalm

I would say the beginning, but i'd be lying. The idea is freh in my mind, I just need to get the words rolling, which is a very small hill to push the boulder up. Then the second chapter flows, and maybe the third. but usually the third will be the toughest, because I've runout of steam, it's a journeying point between two parts of the story. Right now, with one of my stories, it's the fourth chapter which is giving me trouble. I finally mastered the third chapter a few months ago with a completely new idea that took the story in a different direction, and led me to the idea of the next chapter and the plot of the entire story. I'm just...having trouble finding the words. I have half of it written- the easy half. *Grimace*

I agree. Because, right now, I'm in the middle of a ministory, and the second chapter kind of defines one of the most important things in the story.

I'm finding it very hard to try and accurately convey that message of importance. Grr

I also imagine the last chapter would be hardest, because you realize the story's over, and you never get to work and toil over it again, and you just got so attached to everybody.

    And then it's over.

The first one. Always. Because I already know the plotline of my story, and I just want to get on and write it, but the first chapter is always awkward because I have to explain the characters.

And the end. Because I want it to be perfect. I always write the ending before the beginning. I personally find it a lot easier. Facepalm

The middle parts T_T Usually I have the beginning and the ending planned out, but the filler and everything in between gets to me and I slack off and before you know it I never get to write the big finish I was hoping for.

The last chapter because I don't know how to end it. Then it would be the chapters that have a lot of action going on because I can get lazy with that sometimes.

The middle chapters, the ones people like calling 'fillers.' It sucks knowing that unless you want an overly angsty and unrealistic plot that something dramatic can't happen in every single chapter. I hate writing fillers. I'm currently writing a filler chapter right now and I really want to put something dramatic in, but I know that for the better of the nation (okay, not really), that it's just a filler chapter, nothing more. Blah.
