I would finally like to put this down in writing somewhere so people don't have to ask. Very Happy

My birth name is Jon (not short for anything). My mother preferred the name Jack, a 'pet form' of the name Jon, which I assume she also believed was 'cuter', so everyone calls me Jack. However, my middle name is Steven(?!) Shocked

Therefore, I introduce myself as Jack, and I like this name a lot more than Jon (no 'h' as you can see), which I have come to dislike due to meeting other 'Jons' that gave the name bad press.

Unfortunately, after about 5 minutes with anyone new, conversation descends into addressing me as every name under the sun beginning with 'J' - Jon Jack Jackie Jacqueline Jackanory Jacharias... the list goes on and on!! Rolling Eyes

Anyone else have their first names replaced in such odd fashion?
I call my friend Jack Jacquline. XD

My first name is Melia. Not common, and I like it because of that. But alot of people pronouce it wrong and say it in German. [Ma-lay-ah.]
When it is supposed to be pronouced; Mei-lee-ah.

And my middle name is Lanae. Which is also uncommon, it's pronouced; La-nay.

Melia is German and Hawaiian. Cute

My name is Casey pronounced KC (Which isn't common in the UK) I like, and dislike it. I dislike it because sometimes when I tell people it, they think I'm saying Katie, or they pronounced it as Cassie. I like it because it isn't as common in the UK. In my old High School I don't think anyone was called Casey

    My name's Victoria
I hate it, like its too annoying and posh. If I was a boy I was going to be Jack or Albert (I think Albert was one at least) so I just think my parents would pick a name I hate anyway.
    XD
I really want to change it to Mordred, but I'm not a man so it wouldn't work lmfao

    My name's Robyn.
I used to hate it because of all the teasing I got but now I love because it's associated with some many cool things (even though it's not the right spelling) like:
    Robin boy wonder
    the bird
    Robin Hood.

If I were a boy I was going to be called either Theodor or Clay depending on who won the battle.

    My name is Kimberley.
I get called Kim which I rather like.
I do like my name, and it goes well with my middle name Ann.

If I was a boy my parents would of called me Karl, which I don't mind as it is with a K instead of a C

My name is Salem. Oddly enough, it's not really my cup of tea but I generally use it on the computer all the time. My middle name's Tate and truth be told, I like that one more.

I use Salem on the computer but Tate in real life. If I was a girl, I'd be named Samantha/Jennifer/Dima and my sister wanted to name me Aisha after her favorite power ranger. Huh.

My name is Antoinette. Antoinette Marie. I love it, truly. It's unique, and yet recognizable. It has a rather feminine flair to it, which I enjoy.

People call me Annie, or Anne, or Anna. Those are just the common names. People call me anything, really. tehe

I was either going to be called Lucretia (my sister got that name instead) or Rann Xerox if I was a boy. Facepalm After a hulk-like comic book character. Niceeee.

    lmfao lmfao

    Amy.
I don't like it that much, because it's too common and plain, but...I'm not about to go and change it.
edit: however, I am proud of my mother for giving me my middle name - Claire. I just love how Amy and Claire go together.

This, it's just a little boring, and I don't particularly like saying it. Luckily people don't really address me by my name often so it doesn't bother me.
Also, my mum's name is Claire. Freaky. XD

    My name is Megan (obviously).
It's ok, but kinda boring. I wouldn't even mind if it were spelled differently.
Maegan just looks prettier than Megan. People pronounce it May-gin all the time anyway.

And my middle name is Lea. People pronounce is like lee-uh all the time, but it's just plain lee. I even thought about introducing myself as Lea a few times, just because there are so many Megans already.

My name is Christine but I go by Cat. I never liked Christine because I never felt like it fit me. I also don't like it even more now because it means follower of Christ and I'm not even Christian. Sad

    My name's Charlotte.
    I hate it. Yak
It's too posh, yet too common (there were three Charlotte's in my year at primary, and countless more in all the other years).
And I can't spell it half the time and I just generally hate it.
