I love how classic names with their classic spellings that have been around for centuries are becoming the new unique names because everyone is naming there child something interesting. I like interesting names but have a uniquely spelled name myself K-12 was tortue explaining my name and pronunciation to every single teacher and every single friend. In college, I still get misspellings and misspronunciations.

For girls names I still like strange names but for boys I want to keep their names masculine so they don't get bullied or picked on.

    Girls: Heidi, Arya, Anika

So the new "unique" are the classic names for me.

Boys: Benjamin, Jack, Alexander (Xander for short)

    @ Sleeping Cancer.

Ofelia's pretty but considering her character (where people say the name comes from) in Hamlet goes insane and drowns herself and leaves the love of her life to go insane too, I wouldn't want to give my daughter anything with a negative connotation.

There's alot of names that sound pretty that I liked that have horrible meanings that I couldn't bear to name a child.

    Like Claudia means "lame"
    Cecilia means "blind"
    Persephone means "to kill"
    Delilah means "delicate and weak"
    Tristan means "sad"
Dolores means "sufferer of eternal sorrow"
Jezebel means "evil wife and bad wife" besides that being a word we use to descrive someone promiscuous

As I've been thinking about what to write I've realized there are quite a few more that I enjoy than I thought, hah.

    First&Middle:
    Noah Chase
    Miles Alexander
    Ella Margaret
    Addie Mae

    Others:
    Penelope
    Maxwell
    Abigail
    Parker
    Lucy

Most of them have some kind of connections to interests of my boyfriend and I (jazz musicians, Beatles songs), but I'd like to think they aren't too obvious. Some I've just loved for a long time. But I think it's important to choose names that have some sort of meaning for you and your spouse.

I want to have a boy and name him Adrien after my favourite uncle, and then have a girl and name her Alice after my favourite aunt (they're actually married to each other which is awesome). I also adore Anisim, Otis and Ovid.
I'm still in love with those names but I also love Simon and Oliver.
I might incorporate all of these names if I ever have children.

Casper, yes for a girl. I'll definitely name my girl--if I ever have one--that. Or Xiomara. I think Xiomara means something along the lines of strong warrior. I may be completely off.

I'm not sure of the sex of my baby right now, but I have a few names picked out.
Austin Mitchell or Shane Alexander if it's a boy.
Marcella Rose or Anden Christine if it's a girl.
Though, the baby's father and I are leaning more toward Austin Mitchell if it's a boy; named after Austin Carlile and Mitch Lucker. :cute

I never thought about naming a baby because I never planned on having kids, but now that I have a little girl coming Feb 24 I had to rack my brain for names. hahaha.

    I'm naming her Eliana :)

It's unique and pretty. I didn't want her to have a name like mine. My name, Jessica, everyone freaking had that name. There were always other girls in my classes with the same name as me and it was annoying when teachers were checking attendance and whatnot.

I don't really plan on having children, but I've always thought about what I would name him or her if I did.

    For a boy;
    - Matthew Oliver Scott
    - Troy Matthew Stephen
    - Oliver Matthew Lee Jona
(Yes, I'd be naming my son after my favourite band, Bring Me the Horizon. They mean a lot to me, so it wouldn't be an entire waste of names Cute)
    - Jordan Thomas
    Edit: - Thomas Jordan

    For a girl;
    - Malia Malin
    - Dakota Blair
    - Elizabeth Charlene
    - Acacia Farrah
    - Scarlett Serena

I may or may not have had a lot of time to think about it. Shifty

Edit: Forgot the name Thomas Jordan. Shifty

I'm adding Harper (for a girl) to my list, even though it totally ruins my desire to name all of my kids "E" names, because that's the name of one of the toddlers I work with and I'm absolutely infatuated with her tehe
