I don't particularly hate any band (I mean honestly, who has the energy?), but these are some whose music I never particularly cared for. I only feel fondness for some of them coz they remind me of a few of my friends (who will poststalk me and see this omg I still love you guys don't kill me )

...and these are the only ones I can list off the top of my head. There are some I only recalled coz they were mentioned somewhere here (like Paramore, 3OH!3, Jason Derulo, Hey Monday, Metro Station, etc).

I dislike a lot of other artists but not enough to find them relevant enough to remember Probably helps that I don't listen to radio anymore though.

This. I feel that hating a band with every ounce of ones being is a bit excessive. And I can't fathom any reason that someone could possibly hate a band that much. So... I'm curious too.

I understand dislike. Like... those bands I listed earlier are bands I try to avoid at all costs. If they're on the radio I change the station... if I see posts about them I just ignore it. But I don't like... rage over them.
I don't actively hate the band members and want them to fall off the face of the earth.
I only have bits of rage if things get to ridic.
Like that evil FUSE thing last year.

I'm the same way. If I really dislike a band, I'll make a very valid point not to listen to them. And might be like "Ugh, I can't stand them."

But to hate them with every ounce of my being? Hell no. That's just extreme and excessive. And I don't understand it.

Obviously I'm biased towards Green Day, but none the less? You don't like them because the music doesn't appeal to you and it's just not your cup of tea? Fine. You don't like what they stand for as far as politics or whatever? Also fine.

But to hate them with every ounce of your being? I just... I don't understand what would possibly elicit that reaction.

I wasn't offended, I was just confused. I couldn't understand how somebody could possibly hate a band that much, and curious as to hear the reasons why.

Yeah, again, I was blowing it way out of proportion. It was a really stupid thing to say; I just find them arrogant and their music doesn't shiver my timbers. But that's just my opinion.

That's fine. Obviously I disagree about them being arrogant, but if that's how you feel, that's how you feel.

The Way & Two Dollar Bill don't like Muse. They're basically my favorite band. I'm not particularly upset nor feel the need to ask why. People have different music opinions, this thread is the place to say them.

I understand people disliking them, most people where I live dislike them. But yeah, I'm curious over people outright hating them. Wouldn't anyone be a tad curious?

But this is an unpopular music opinion thread, is it not? So I'd say it's not just a place to list your unpopular opinions, but discuss them as well. I also agree with what Ash said. It wasn't just that somebody disliked Green Day. It was the way it was phrased that peaked my interest. I didn't understand what would cause somebody to outright hate a band in that way.

I wasn't upset either. I was curious. I asked. There was a reply. Nobody was attacked for their opinion, so I hardly see the problem in discussing it. If someone were to ask me why I didn't like any of the artists on my list, I'd answer.

Meh, I only care for 3Oh!3 because they're parody.
