Ohdear. XD I find this really offensive for some reason, probably how it's worded so... inconsiderately? Sure it put her name in the headlines, but it's not as if she's milking the incident and pushing it as a sob story. If anything, it's Chris Brown who's trying to make himself look like the victim that aggravates me.

    -

ALSO another thing to add to my list.

    M.I.A.
Sorry Isa Sad I guess I'm just that tired of her. and I dont see it as she's pushing the story as "Oh, I'm a victim. Give me awards and overplay me on the radio!" , I see the mainstream, in a way kind of pushing her that way.

That probably didnt make my point sound any better. Facepalm

But absolutely agree with MIA. She only has one song (I think) that has hit the mainstream, but takes the piss out of anyone who is mainstream. Mainly, Lady Gaga.

The one song that got MIA popular, Paper Planes?
I kinda liked it but I hate that now people think that beat is hers and whenever I say "Uh... no this is by The Clash" I get hateful looks are called stupid.
    No

I don't necessarily agree with this. It doesn't make a song meaningless if, say, the artist sings about murder when he hasn't necessarily murdered anyone. It's still a message that you may not like and not relate to, but you can't say that for everyone. I mean, people buy and like it, right?

And I don't think all music has to be incredibly deep and personal and have some kind of life-changing message... lol, the singer might just want to make a song about some party they went to. And, as a listener, sometimes I just want something fun to sing along or dance to without having to analyze every beat or lyric.

So, yeah. I don't think it's because they have nothing to say or whatever. You may not like them and you may not wanna listen to their songs, but they probably just love performing, the same way your favorite bands do.

Which is what I keep in mind for some of the artists in these thread and why I don't really have a personal vendetta against them (unless they're renowned douches). I just don't like the music, so I avoid them. Do I wish they'd stop making music? LOL, YES, but they won't, and some people don't, but I won't question their motives for putting out more music. It seems a bit too judgmental, even for a 'dislike' thread.

    / tl; dr lmfao
    THANK YOU. Hail

Radiohead. Like legit I can't do it. I tried listening to Karma Police & I was ready to die.

Also I'm simply amazed at the amount of people who don't like MCR. I thought like everyone did around here. Wowie surprised me. Also I'm amazed at the people who don't like Fall Out Boy or All Time Low. BrokeNCYDE & 3Oh!3 I can understand even if I've seen both live & am a fan of both. Ke$ha I understand as well but she's actually quite good just not y'alls cup of tea then.

Oh just got another one: Big Time Rush. The 90's are long over & so are the boy bands.

I really dislike the Sex Pistols. Twitch They just aggravate me. I can't stand their music. I can't stand Johnny Rotten (even though we share a birthday). I can't stand Sid Vicious. He couldn't even play bass for fucks sake and he gets hailed as this ~tortured hero~ Fuck no. Hand

I also can't stand Pearl Jam or Aerosmith.

Well, I can't understand why you don't like Radiohead. File XD

All Time Low and Fall Out Boy bore me, to be honest. Their songs blend together and don't sound all that different to me. The vocals and lyrics tire me. -shrugs- They don't stand out to me. I can understand why others like them, just not my cup of tea.

And I just remembered: Tegan and Sara. Twitch Can't stand their voices.

I'm with you on Fall Out Boy, ATL, stuff like that.
I think the voices sound too similar and it grates on my nerves. Not really my cup of tea either.

XD It's weird, but I can't take Fall Out Boy seriously as a band. I don't dislike their music and I can totally jam to their songs, but when they talk about being a band and making an influence I just giggle or scoff. I don't know if that made sense.

Am I the only one who laughs whenever my favorite bands are mentioned in this thread? I think almost everyone has All Time Low on their list and I just find it hilarious tehe

I can't think of a band I hate that everyone else loves. I'd just like to point out that it's highly ironic that the name of the thread is "Unpopular Music Opinions" yet everyone seems to list the same bands.

I think this thread isn't Unpopular Music Opinions On Mibba, it's just in general.
I know a ton of people that love the bands and artists I listed. XD

Just all at once I'm gonna say most, if not all, Decaydance/FBR bands. They just...no. A lot of the music sounds similar to me.

I also despise Justin Bieber, that poor kid has no talent imo. Coffee

Bring Me The Horizon, and just about every other incoherently screaming band, annoys the crap out of me. I mean, if it just sounds like a trainwreck, I don't want to hear it. I don't think I should have to read lyrics online to decipher my own language. -shrug-

And then also Owl City, 3Oh!3, and all Disney singers. I mean, I can be changed on all of these things except Disney, I don't really hate anything, I just haven't found anything by them I like. But I'm pretty much open to most other things. Cute

Edit: lmfao Omg, so many people dislike Tokio Hotel. I don't know if I'm sad or amused.

XD I was like "Should I list The Millionaires? They've already got a lot of haters." But, I guess I just listed bands whose fans make a big hype about.

Well, most of us don't live in Asia. Shifty I'm guessing American/European music isn't as popular in Asia, either. Or, I don't know. XD I'm not the biggest fan of lyrics I can't understand.

    I kinda agree.
Though I do listen to German artists (one of my fave bands is Die Toten Hosen) I can understand a bit of German but Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean etc etc is lost on me.
