    I searched and couldn't find.

My mom is a florist and sometimes plans weddings for close friends too. She planned my cousin's wedding and I'll be helping her plan one for a friend next year. She wants to be a professional wedding planner, and I know she'll play a big part in helping me plan mine.

So I was thinking today, whats your dream wedding. Have you ever thought about it? Do you want it to be a big event, or something small and sweet?

    Mine:
I might have a maid of honor and my fiance will have a best man, but that's probably it. Other than my best friend, I can't think of any one else I'd want to stand beside me.
Despite my lack of a bridal party, I know I'll have a big wedding. I have a big family, so it's a little necessary. It's also very formal.
I also like the colors green and brown for a wedding, or Tiffany blue and white.

    Now it's your turn.

oh oh oh oh oh oh! OMGYES

I think about getting married ALL the time. I've done it since I was little. I'm that stereotypical girl. lmfao I stalk wedding websites and read Modern Bride and everything.

For mine, well, my family is preparing (Lord willing!) to buy a house in my hometown, and I want to get married there. I'm a Christian, but I've never wanted to get married in a church. I just have no desire to. If I do get married at a church, there's a tiny abandoned church in my hometown. It's completely wooden and white and has ivy growing all over it and it's just beautiful.

I want a vintage 50's style dress, with puffed sleeves and a nipped in waist, with lace all over it. I'm going to have a maid of honor (my best friend called the spot like, 13 years ago. lmfao), and I know my fiancée will probably want a best man, but other than that, I couldn't be bothered with a big wedding party. Maybe one or two little kids to be a flower girl or ring bearer. I want my colors to be gold and plum.

Honestly, though, I've given more thought to the reception than the actual wedding. lmfao My parents and I "planned" it one day while we were out on the boat. lmfao I live in the deep south, so wedding receptions range from wild parties to tea parties. tehe (It depends on what denomination of church you go to, no joke). I know I want the reception in my backyard (I want to get married in the Fall, so it'll be cool), and we're going to have all sorts of food and drinks and a wooden dance floor and a little band, and my first dance is going to be to Ray Charles' "Hallelujah, I Love Her So". In Love

I have most of the music planned out too. tehe

Wow, long post is long. XD

I'm not really a marriage and wedding type of person, but if I ever feel the need to get married I won't want a wedding - just me and my partner, ideally.

I've thought about a courthouse wedding too. Its what my parents had and we even live near the same courthouse they got married in, so it would still be pretty special.

And I've recently decided I don't want to walk down the isle to the tradition wedding march. It's just, no.

^ Oh, girl, I'm with you on the wedding march. XD If anything, I want to walk down to Tom Waits' You Can Never Hold Back Spring. In Love

I've been to WAY too many weddings that use the wedding march. lmfao

^ XD I never really liked it, even when I was little.
Then I found out my mother hates it as well.
I have no idea what I'm walking down to.

My ideal wedding would be nowhere close to a church. I just...Churches and I don't go well together. I don't feel comfortable in them, so I wouldn't want my wedding to be in one.

I've always wanted to get married on the beach. In Love Right on the water, at sunset. There would- be an arch made of -ideally--white lilies, lilacs, and red roses. My bouquet would consist of black roses, white lilies, and lilacs. Cute I would be wearing a long light green dress with thin straps, open in the back. I don't want a veil, and my hair would just be loose around my shoulders. Other than my maid of honor and my partner's groomsman, I don't want a huge wedding party. They would be wearing black. I would have the pastor who baptized me as the preacher, and there would be very few guests--just our closest friends and family. After we were pronounced man and wife, I would run into the ocean. In Love The reception would also be at the beach, ideally. I've already got the music and everything picked out. In Love Our first dance would be either Warmness on The Soul or Dear God by Avenged Sevenfold--I haven't picked which one yet.

    That sounds absolutely beautiful.
I don't want a big wedding party either, and I'm trying to convince my boyfriend the same. I just don't have a lot of people that I'm close to that I would want to stand up there with me. I'm content with my best friend being my only bridesmaid, or no wedding party at all.

Couldn't resist. I have too. I've always been a typical girl in that sense, planning my wedding.

I used to want the whole big white wedding, married in a church but not anymore.

I want to get married outside, not on the beach, but in a really nice garden, in Autumn. I want a white dress, thats not to detailed, and I want lillies in my bouquet.

I haven't really thought about the reception, but I don't want anything too big or fancy for it.

I don't want the wedding march either. Maybe a song that means alot to me and my fiance. I don't want a big wedding party either. Maid of Honour, Best man, thats it.

I've definitely planned my dream wedding in my head :3

I want to have it at the same place my parents did actually, which is a hotel on the beach about 20 minutes from where I live. I want it to be a sunny, hot day in the beginning of summer. I'd like the color scheme for the wedding to be bright green, yellow and white. For my wedding party I'd love to have cute little green dresses (something like the one to the right, minus all the shoulder puff business) with bouquets of yellow and white flowers, especially daffodils :] And although it's casual, I'd love my groom to wear something like this. I'd love my dress to be something like this or this.

I'd like the wedding to be late morning/early afternoon. I'd invite all our closest friends and family members and have a string quartet, I think. As for our song, I'd like "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional, "When the Day met the Night" by Panic at the Disco or "I Want to Know Your Plans" by Say Anything. Ah, I love planning this stuff :3

My sister stole my ideal wedding of getting married at Disney D: So unless I get married in the next like, six months I'll have to come up with something new or look like I copied her XD

My dress will probably be black though because its the only colour I can really pull off.

I want to get married in this tiny town on the Northern California coast called Gualala. I want to get married in the afternoon, when the sun is shining and the waves are crashing.

My dream dress is long and white with black lacing. I'll probably won't have a lot of members in the wedding party, just a maid of honor, a best man and probably no more than five bridesmaids and ushers.

I'll probably have a reception at a beach house.

Either all of that shenanigans, or we'll just go to Vegas and get married by Elvis.

As far as I've thought about, I want an actual wedding, not just courthouse. My parents were a courthouse couple. My brother and sister-in-law were married in a chapel but they eloped; one sister was married in a church, but I think it was just her, her kids, and my now brother-in-law; my other sister got engaged last year, but I doubt she'd have a big wedding, and I doubt I'd be able to go anyway (family issues)- not to mention she has twin boys (age 2), and her fiance has a little girl; a big wedding probably wouldn't suit them.

I've been deprived of any wedding activities. All my family were either married before I was born, or married quick and cheap.

I just know I want a real wedding with family and friends, even if it isn't extravagant. I'd prefer a simple wedding. No themes. Spring, maybe. Mid to late afternoon. I've thought about becoming a wedding planner.

Ironically, "Little White Church" by Little Big Town just played on the radio.

I don't wanna wedding at all. Where I live that's considered absurd, because we have to have these huge parties where people (family, friends, friends of family, friends of friends of family, friends) are invited and it has to be a huge thing and blah blah.
I'm like, 'shit. If you do that, then I'm not going File have the wedding on your own and count me out."
They're like it's tradition and whatever. To me it's a pure waste of money. Make-up, a dress, hair, invitations, wedding hall, food, not to mention the DJ and useless expenses. I just wanna take my money and my future partner and go travel with it to countries we'll never probably see again in our lifetime. Money well-spent: I'm happy, we bond Con

Yet, I'll doubt that'll happen. But if I do get coerced to have a wedding, I want it to be small, only family and (some) friends and probably in my house's basement. ^^

my dream wedding? Well I want an 18th century (1700’s think the film Marie Antoinette) themed wedding with one of her dresses http://18thcenturycorsets.smugmug.com/ big poofy and simply over the top, completely fairy tale esque. I want all the guys in the little britches and socks and frock coats and buckle shoes, I want to arrive in a horse drawn carriage. White horses and a white carriage trimmed in gold even the footman and driver of the carriage in period dress. I want the colors to be cream and gold. White roses, and white orchids and pale pinks to accent. I might have two brides maids my two best friends or hell I might have three just as long as the all agreed to wear the period dress, they dresses would be the same pale pink as the accents and have gold trim. I assume my fiancé would have a best man but he’d have a hard time convincing him to wear the period clothing. I want a very old fashioned church, I do have one in mind. Period music like a string corset, and yes a DJ when the cortet is taking a break or for later in the reception. And I want to do a symbolic losing of a shoe and my fiancé picking it up and putting it on my foot. I have a small family so my side of the church wouldn’t be too full. All the guests would be encouraged to wear period clothing, but if not it would be completely black tie. I come from a real small redneckish town, I’m not redneckish but boy some of the wedding photos I’ve seen on facebook wow those were some very unclassy weddings, and I want mine to be the epitome of class. Yep yep that’s my dream wedding.

The thought of a wedding and walking up the aisle seems daunting to me. To have everyone's attention be on you, is horrible to think off. I'm painfully shy so if I were to have a wedding in the far, far future I'd like a little one with family that I wouldn't feel uncomfortable in front off. Maybe somewhere like a nice little barn like they did in the Proposal. XD
I love weddings when the bride and groom are like seventy, it's so cute and it makes me cry every time I see one. But wouldn't it be lovely to get married when you're like twenty something and stay together until you die, I love that idea and probably wouldn't get married if I didn't think there was even a tiny chance of that happening. Divorce is bleh.

I'd like a small wedding, with my best friends as the bridesmaids and the dress of my dreams. I love fashion, so that's really my main focus. I'm thinking cream silk, with a mermaid silhouette to highlight my curves. Nothing froofy, more elegant. I look terrible in white, though, so maybe a different color.

I'm not religious, so I probably won't get married in a church. I'm hoping outside, on a beach (I live in New Jersey, so it might be hard to get a quiet spot on the beach XD
