Race is technically based on phenotype but not on genetics per se. Phenotype changes depending on where you live. The best example of this is African Americans. If you notice there are not true "black" African Americans as there are Africans. African Americans are lighter skinned then Africans. This is not due to interbreeding but because of a changing phenotype due to different environmental conditions. Eventually, if immigration was halted for a few centuries or even millennia, everyone in the US would be 'white'.

I should probably answer the question though before I go too off topic for too long.

I am attracted to all races pretty much equally actually. Well, more like I don't care about race at all. I will say that the African phenotype, not the African American but the full black African, is the least attractive to me but not by a huge amount.

Yo, you aught to be a little more careful where you get your facts from and what you say. Some Africans are light. Have you ever seen Ethiopians, Libyans, And people of northern Africa? Hot all Africans are dark. And some African Americans are dark as hell. I have neighbors that are. I don't think America is a good example of this because black people can get really dark if they live closer to the south of the US and stay in the sun a lot.

I for one have gotten much darker than I used to be. Within a few months my arms went from cinnamon stick to chocolate and those are the literal colors. My ankles and arms look like they belong to two different people. I went from this to this, literally.

I've seen a lot of attractive Finnish people. Cute And I find the sound of the Finnish language amazing as well, so that adds to it, for me.

Also, I was watching Battle Royale (Japanese film) yesterday and it occurred to me how attractive some of the teens are in that.

I'd never really thought much about attraction to other races before. XD

I actually lied. I'm going to retract my last statement.
I find middle eastern people to be really attractive.
I was watching the news (it was kinda serious business but not the point) and they're really good looking. Especially the ones from Jordan and Palestine.
It's like 'Be still my beating heart'.

^I agree with you on the japanese thing. Some Japanese women are seriously stunning.

Skin color phenotype is solely genetic. There isn't much of an environmental influence aside from cultures more exposed to the sun are naturally going to be more tanned. I'm white, and I get really tan in the summer, but that doesn't mean I'm Caucasian in the winter and Latina in the summer. If there's any variation of skin color between African Americans and Africans, it's probably due to genetic drift, which affects the gene frequencies themselves, therefore affecting phenotype.Phenotypes such as hair color, skin color, eye color, height, etc, are typically solely genetic without environmental influence.

I'm attracted to white boys, simply because I'm white and I don't believe in me personally dating outside my race. If he's gorgeous, white, AND Jewish, that's definitely a plus, but I've only met a couple Jewish boys that I've found physically attractive.

I just don't. I don't have a problem with other people that do date outside their race, I just would never do it myself. I'm just not attracted to anyone outside of my own race.

^Finland is the land of seriously attractive people. Just saying.

It's not really a race, but I love guys that are from southern states. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the accent (even though I have a southern one myself).
And I must say, I've seen many a Scandinavian man, and I'm impressed. Cute

^ I honestly don't care about accents. As long as he doesn't have a French, German, or British one because they get on my nerve and I can't understand a French and German one (and I can generally understand a huge range of accents)

I do like Caribbean accents though just because... I guess because my dad is (although he doesn't have one anymore [and if he does, I'm too used to it]) I don't know. I like how northerners speak (cause I'm an ex one) but I don't like extremely strong northern accents.

honestly, i don't know why, but i have this huge thing for hispanics. it's like pretty much only hispanics. oh, and bassists. i figured the hispanic preference (which isn't even intentional O.O) was based upon where i grew up and my own family, however the bassist thing i can't even begin to understand.

i find blue eyes kind of scary for some reason, and i've just never been attracted to a blond... except for aaron carter when i was like five, and everyone loved him!

i also like it when they're taller than me, i find being taller awkward for some reason. like, i don't see it that way for everyone just me personally.

these are just the qualities i've noticed i'm attracted to, i don't go out of my way to find this attraction. generally, as long as we have something to talk about musically, and we can get along them i'm happy. i feel like 8 times out of ten friendship leads to attraction.

and i agree with @anyasioux accents don't matter, i don't really mind them though. they're all whatever :D

Hail Oh my god yes, I agree one hundred percent from the blue eyes to the friendship leading to attraction. I know plenty of times when I started to feel some of the people I find interesting become attractive to me although at first glance, they're not all the attractive. It's the same vise versa. The very attractive looking people tend to lose their attractiveness when they're assholes or very ignorant to me. Not trying to dis my people cause I love black people, but I see it mostly with them (then again that could be just because I find them more attractive therefore I don't care about how everyone else acts).

    Hispanic/Latino men and Caucasian women.

On the guys part, I like the skin color so much, chocolate brown. If they're tall is a plus and most of my friends cover these two. I just don't like... white skin; I don't know, but I'm not attracted to it and I find it hard to like a guy when their skin tone is white or pale.

On the girls, it's like the opposite with boys. I feel really attracted to Caucasian women with pale skin. Just... they look gorgeous like that.

I think Asian men are the most gorgeous creatures on earth. Latinos are sexy too, but a Chinese or Japanese or Korean guy can make me melt. I'm also SO jealous of Asian women, because I find their features to be absolutely breathtaking.

It's unfortunate, though, because I live in a place that is almost very literally all white.

And as for heritage, but not race (like, origins) I find that if a boy has an Irish/Scottish accent he could tell me to lick his shoes and I'd listen.

I could get "oh look pretty boy yaaaaaay. <3" at somebody of any race, methinks. They all have their attractive and unattractive qualities. Most of the boys I have seriously liked have been Caucasian (I know two of them have German roots, as for the others, I'm unsure), but I assume that's because I live in an area dominated by that race. Of my serious attractions, only one was Hispanic (Puerto Rican), one of the most beautiful boys I've ever seen. I looooooove dark skin, so that could lead to me being attracted to boys from African/African American, Hispanic, Indian, etc., backgrounds. And I love accents such as Irish, Scottish, and for some reason, Indian (I also have this weird love of Bostonian accents but I don't think that counts, hahah) However, I have and can be attracted to just about any race. They all have their gorgeous members.
