Andrew deserved his BAFTA so much.
I felt like a proud mother.

Andrew, Martin, and now just Benedict.
All my babies deserve BAFTAs for their performances. So perfect.

Also, Gatiss is in charge of the first episode of series 3. What does that mean?
Slash overtones and undertones and just slash all over our screens.

    But yeah, Sherlock is brilliant.
No words for how perfect all of it is.

^ Just remember, you can't spell "subtext" without "buttsex".

I haven't seen Series 2 yet, but it's on my Netflix DVD queue. Can't wait to watch it :D

^Dear Lord, that's a fantastic quip right there. Series 2 will make you cry. You have been warned.

I was so proud of him too. I was proud of Benedict's witticisms with Matt Smith when they had to introduce & announce Moffat's Special Award (why couldn't he just win a normal BAFTA? XD).

I agree with your last point, Sherlock made me rediscover my love of Conan Doyle. I'm just hoping that Series 3 does not get 'pushed back' multiple times like Series 2. That was a torturous wait.

Yesterday our English teacher let us watch the first episode of Sherlock rather than do work. I’ve been meaning to watch it for so long, since friends have all told me about how good it is.

Needless to say, I just finished the last episode in the series and I’ll be starting series 2 tomorrow (though I’m not sure how I can wait so long with a cliffhanger like that). Then I have the entire summer holiday to cry and sit alone in my bedroom from the emotional trauma that I know is on my way.

I’ve always been a huge Doctor Who fan, and I’ve seen every episode from 9 onwards, plus a few older ones (6 in particular. I enjoy him for some reason) and I noticed every slight similarity between Sherlock and the Doctor. It was kind of amazing how Moffat and Gatiss created a completely different character, but he still had the same traits.

Anyway, even after only two days, it’s definitely my favourite TV show at the moment. When Doctor Who isn’t on, it’s rare to find any good TV, so I’ll be thanking my English teacher for a long time to come :D

Right, thought I'd revive this thread as there's NEW Sherlock information! Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have hinted at three words which would encompass the three episodes of Series 3. They are:

    Rat, Wedding, Bow

There's been loads of speculation already, of course. Apparently, Mark has already said there will be elements of The Adventure of the Empty House in the first episode, in which case, I really hope they introduce Sebastian Moran in this series. (:

I actually hadn't heard about The Adventure of the Empty House being in there, but if it is then it looks like we have a lot of questions answered already.

I've seen so many theories about the words, and I still don't know which ones to believe. They're all extremely plausible, and yet I don't want to get my hopes up or down for anything, just in case they do/don't happen.

But let's face it, no matter what actually happens, the only thing the majority of the fandom is actually waiting for is for Sherlock to return and there be a romantic moment when they see each other again. Something tells it it'll be more of John crying and yelling and Sherlock looking annoyed (or maybe apologetic? That would be great).

I bought series 1&2 recently, and watched them over Christmas. I really, really enjoyed it! The acting is wonderful (Martin in particular with that last scene in The Reichenbach Fall) and the editing is beautiful. Also, Mark Gaitiss is wonderful as Mycroft.

Once I posted a status on Facebook that basically says that the new Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes' movie is great, and then two of my friends commented on my status and saying that Sherlock BBC is so much greater.

    And they're right.

I really really really like this show. It's just amazing. I watched all the 6 episodes again and again and I can't wait for the new episodes.

What are some theories to how Sherlock faked his death? I've been curious to hear other's opinions. I'm excited for season three, because I want to know how that bastard did what he did!

I really don't have a well thought out theory as to how, I just know that Molly had a hand in it. >.> I can't wait to see how he did it though. Crazy I almost cried at the end of season two, bastards.

Of course she did! My grandfather told me that Sherlock and Molly were his OTP. Smh.
I did cry at the end, and then when I saw Sherlock, I was all, "Fucking hell! Moffat, you've done it now, you motherfucker!" Then I was pissed at Sherlock and now I just want to know how the hell it was done. I just hate how we have to wait so long. I hear it's because of some of the fans lurking around the set. I hope that's not the case, though.

Okay, so somewhere series three is happening and I fangirl every time I think about it. It probably won't happen EVER but I think it's a good time for the writers to finally give us Johnlock. In Love

Also, I have this theory that even though Moriarty blew his brains out, he's not actually dead (like Sherlock). Except the twist in my theory is that he wasn't actually Moriarty. I mean, he is, but I feel like he's not actually the person behind everything. I think Moriarty is a woman. One of my big suspects is Kitty Riley (that was her name, right?).

Ooh, I haven't heard the Kitty Riley theory yet. I know there's a bunch about Sally Donavan and Molly Hooper though.

Ugh, Sherlock is just so fantastic it hurts!

I started watching it after I saw Benedict in Star Trek and I'm just addicted to it. I've watched the first series several times, and the second twice. And I think I'm about to go watch it again. I want more!

Sherlock: "I need you to punch my face."
John: "I hear you saying that a lot, but it's usually subtext."

'Nuff said folks, fantastic show! I'm pumped for series three! I hope John really gives it to him when he *spoilers* finds out that Sherlock is still alive!!! Mr. Green
