In the book The Great Gatsby it says that the man's irises were wide when he meant to say pupils.

I've noticed that. :| I love those books but it get annoying when there's a mistake on every other page.

In a lot of Shakespeare's plays he has different spellings for different names, and it's always when it's said by someone else. I'm beginning to think it may possibly have a purpose, like how someone might say the name...
- DarkestStorm:
- So I bought the leather-bound Complete Works of William Shakespeare at Barnes and Noble, and was reading it. Well I was in the middle of Romeo and Juliet and I come to this part, and it says "Julia". I was like "What the heck, they put Julia instead of Juliet".
Then I looked on B&N's website to see if anyone saw it, nope, just me. Lol.
You actually read through an entire House Of Night?

Like the person above me mentioned, this isn't a mistake. Philosopher's Stone is the actual title; the stone itself wasn't made up by JK Rowling. The legend of the stone, its properties, and Nicholas Flamel has been around for hundreds of years. It was changed to make it more appealing to American audiences who had never heard of it.

- Also, my brother bought a book on Warner Brothers movies, and they wrote ''Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone'' which I have actually found in a lot of different books.
