Just got another idea xD This will all be OF, first of all. A girl and guy have a one-night fling, after which the boy dissappears and the girl is knocked up. Years and years later, the boy ends up famous (movies or music, I haven't decided yet) and the girl goes after him. In an angry, "you hurt me now pay" sort of rage, mostly because she's been a poor single mom and he's just living life like she and their kid don't exist. I know I want a court battle involved, and I might have her kill the guy in the end >>

I think this sounds like a great idea because at first it sounded so cliche but then you add a more serious twist instead of them just falling inlove again.

    __

Ok so I started writing a story about a woman named Sherry McGavin who remarried a middle aged Irish skinhead and began writing Nazi propeganda after her weak husband Greg snapped and tried to kill her. After the success of her first novel "The Sixth Reich" Sherry writes her autobiography entitled "Sherry McGavin and The Sixth Reich" which is the story, it's her fictional autobiography. It's a comedy.

I think it's a good idea. It's certainly better than abandoning the character altogether. I'm quite familiar with Sherry thanks to the Character Development thead, and so I know the sort of tone this story would likely have. I would consider reading it.

Ok. I'm already writing on this one, but I'll ask about it anyway. I've got an idea for a sort of Doctor Who fanfic. In it, a American man named James jumps ahead a year in time every 12 minutes. I am not sure if the origin or true nature of this problem will ever be explained (or at least, not explained in any manner other than The Doctor's 100 mile an hour technobabble.) In this fashion, much of James's life flies by. He experiences 8 jumps before his health is so compromised that he is out of years to jump (the jumps take a toll on his health, at age 40 he is much weaker than he should be.) This is when The Doctor finally shows up and helps him. He fixes the "time and space error" affecting James, so that if James were to recover some of his health he wouldn't have to worry about jumping anymore. I considered not making this a fanfic, but I figured The Doctor was the only one capable of understanding and fixing the unique problem James has. Also, I began getting dialogue for him and James in my head. I'm a bit nervous for it being a bit Doctor-lite, but to me there's really only room for him closer to the end. I'm also nervous because James is narrating it and he's a bit, well... he has nasty habits and foul language, for example. I think I can make it work though... EDIT: Also, to clear up any confusion, this hasn't been happening to him since birth. It's a random anomaly that crops up sometime near the middle of his life really. Sorry, for the length of this description and for any confusion! If there's any more just ask!!

That sounds really interesting. You'd have to be able to pull of a good fan fic though. I see a lot of terrible ones but I like Doctor Who so it should be good. :)

A young couple that only just graduate move out of town away from their own families. They move beside a cemetary and strange things start to happen. And this ghost from the cemetary follows them around warning them about things but they don't listen but when those things happen, they regret not listening and they end up actually going to the ghost to ask him what's gonna happen but not always does he have an answer for them and shit happens.. I think it's interesting for sure. I'm a total geek for ghost stories. I like how tthey would be young which usually corresponds with niave so it makes sense why they don't listen. I would read it.

What I'm thinking about right now is about a guy who is, in a sense, trying to save his best friend. She doesn't party but drinks a lot on the weekends to forget the scene when she discovered her brother's body. They don't fall in love or anything, but it's a story about growing up and learning to cope. And like all my stories, the ending's going to be pretty bittersweet.

I think it's a good idea. The lack of a romance between the two main characters is a breath of fresh air too. I'm so sick of "My mom's dead. Let's make out!" stories. :( I think, if you take the road less traveled, you'll have a really unique story. Cute

    ----------------

    It's basically "A Christmas Carol".

Gabe is the Scrooge character. He's just this big jerk to everyone, total party boy. He gets even worse during Christmas.

One Christmas Eve, Gabe goes on a major bender and passes out in a bar. While unconcious, The Ghosts of Christmas Past (Gerard Way), Present, (Ray Toro) and Future (Bob Bryar) arrive and take him on a journey thru his life. Past shows him how his constant cheating and partying caused his girlfriend Victoria to leave him 3 years ago, Present shows him how he'll lose his current boyfriend, William if he doesn't go home on Christmas, and Future shows him how he'll end up old and alone if he doesn't change his ways.

Although I was thinking that I would change 'Ghosts" to "Angels", because I wanted to add some minor theological stuff.

Hm. I kinda like this idea, which is a bit odd because I'm a bit tired of Christmas Carol or Wonderful Life types. I dunno. I might read this; it sounds kinda cute.

Ok. I had this idea a while back. It's a play (or more likely a short film) about a character named Liam that gets into hard drinking and drugs and winds up an addict. It's the story of how he almost loses everything and his long road to recovery. Possibly narrated by him. (haven't fully decided.)

I think only if you can make it really, really original, because it's a very overused plotline.

    -

This one isn't fully developed yet, but it'll be my next chaptered fic. It's a Tom-centric Tokio Hotel fiction, no twincest involved. Tom suffers from depression and PTSD (and possible schizophrenia, if that's how it goes) after all the build up from a constant, looming feeling of inferiority compared to his brother (inferiority complex). He ends up snapping at one point, never forgiving himself for how he hurts Bill, and never moving on from it, and months later attempts suicide. It puts him into a psychiactric ward, where Tom's been shrinking away from his brother and being taken over by his disorders. It's sort of a story on his road to recovery, both in his own mind and in his relationship with his brother, but not a typical The Bell Jar type of story. Bill's sort of very fucked up too and he really is to blame for everything, while the reader mostly thinks it's in Tom's head for awhile. Told through chapters of not only narrative, but also tape recordings (Tom and his therapist; script) and journal entries (Bill's).

Ooooh, I like it. Especially because there are different from of writing (scripts, journals) involved. And that it's not twincest. I think the one downfall could be if you didn't research the disorders enough. I hope you will, because this seems like it would be an amazing story.

There's a story in my head about two fictional bands. They go on tour and become good friends, and the drummer from one band ends up dating the guitarist of the other. They end up breaking it off in a rather humiliating and vicious manner for the both of them. The story would be told from interviews, song lyrics, journals, and through a "discussion board" made by the fans. It's kind of a rough story idea right now.

I think the story line itself seems a little bit boring but I'm really interested in the way you'd go about telling it, sounds like a great idea.

Late, dammit. I liked my suggestion. lol

I would love to see how the comedy would be pulled off. Taking a dark situation and turning it funny could be quite a challenge, but amazing when pulled off. I can't wait to see how it comes out. I can't think of any suggestions to make it better... but it still seems like a great idea.

    ----
I was going to write this thing, its somewhat based of true events between me and my friend, but it will be fiction because I have to cram them all into two people or so, and its called Dear Best Friend. I can't decide between telling it in a series of letters, or if it would be a letter, then a chapter of why that letter was written, like the scenarios that made it happen... But I can't decide which would be better.

I'm still toying with the idea, but I'd love to know what people thought about it.

I want to write a story about a girl with some weird power. She is sent to boarding school because her family have always hated her because she can make things happen with her mind. Just by wanting them to come true. At boarding school she falls in love with a guy and he knows her story but she ends up getting him into big trouble. Like life and death trouble with her mind. I still have to work out the rest of the plot but that's what I've got so far...

It sounds like a really good idea, especially when you consider the details that could come to light in that situation

Well, I'm not sure how I feel about knowing the inevitable tragic ending from the start, but other than that I have no qualms. I would certainly read a story like this. It's very post-apocalyptic, which when done well, is something I've always been interested in. Also, you automatically have my attention when you involve aliens. [/sci fi geek]

A Doctor Who and X-Files Crossover. I'm not 100% percent sure on very many details because this one is still very early in "pre-production", but it will involve The Doctor showing up in Mulder and Scully's time and eventually helping them against some sort of alien threat

I'd definitely give it a read. I'm all about survival and whatnot. Now I'm wondering what this toxin does to the human body...

I've never seen Doctor Who. But, I'd definitely give it a read because of the alien invasion.

I'm not sure if this should be fanfiction or not.

A girl in New York runs her own -small- art gallery, but recently had to close because of the "strange" macabre paintings that have been appearing in her bedroom. Soon enough, she notices she's doing those paintings and tries to figure out who does people are. Not only paintings, but soon enough, there are also letters. It's mostly a mystery, as to why she does this and who they are.

Hm. Think so she's doing these things unconsciously? That sounds pretty interesting. I might read that if you were to write it and post it here. Also, I imagine it would be better as original fiction.

So, it's a story idea that's been knocking around in my head for a while now.

A kinda late-twenty, early thirties female research scientist at a struggling university decides to kill herself due to a myriad of small reasons and leaps from one of the university buildings. On the way, she feels "caught" and is pulled into the building. She then meets the two Fatals: Strophe and Antistrophe.

Strophe is a youngish, cheerful woman dressed in white and Antistrophe is her husband, a middle aged, misanthropic bloke dressed in black. The research scientist is then pulled through the labyrinthine Afterlife in which many key figureheads of many religions and mythologies are represented in various ways, Kafkaesque interviews with Afterlife Security firm Cornucopia Inc. Eventually, as an atheist, she is assigned an Afterlife by help desk employee Joan of Arc.

She is assigned to visit Unit 23 in which the Christian dogma is how she will be judged; meeting silver-haired, acid tongued git God, camp, muscular, oily Adonis Jesus and raven haired, shadowy vixen Holly Spirit.

The judgment is based less on actions but based around elimination game shows in which to gain a place in Heaven, she has to - alongside her fellow contestants - humiliate herself in ridiculous challenges dead and alive; glimpsing her own funeral through the Dimititrope before finally triumphing and choosing Oblivion instead of Heaven - a decision made only once by Judas Iscariot.

Eh, I don't know if I'd read that or not. I don't like how her family hates her just because of her power. If there's a solid reason why her family hates her for that, like, if she was hurting them with her power. I like the concept of her dragging the guy down with her though.

    --

I just came up with this. There's a girl that has gained empath abilities(She can feel people's emotions and their physical pains) . She tells no one about it, for fear of everyone thinking she's crazy. With all the stirring emotions of her classmates, school is difficult.

She often internalizes her friends problems as her own. If she can't fix the problem she feels useless. It doesn't help that her best friend is suffering from depression and is always getting hurt from her own clumsiness. Dating is really hard. If she can't figure out her own feelings from the guy's, it can cause her problems. For these reasons, she tries to distance herself from people.

Everyone except her dad. Her dad is relaxed and calm so she finds it nice to hang out with him. Until her older siblings and the piling bills start worrying him. Then she has no one, unless she can figure out how to turn off or turn down the sensitivity of her powers.
