    DEAR AMERICA:

    4. Why are you so patriotic?! The American flag pins and the flags and all that seems cult like! You would be the ONLY country who is that patriotic, it's insane.

    Australia.
Ha! We are not patriotic at all when it comes to people from Spanish speaking countries in South and Central America. Oh My God. Those people are obnoxious when it comes to patriotism. I'm on a Rotary exchange and every time we go on an outing, all the Latinos bring their country-of-origins' flags, proceed to parade around with their flags strapped to their backs like capes, and become a clique of Spanish-speaking high schoolers. Iz Obnoxious.

    Dear America,
Why must the culture be so violent? Seriously, stop brainwashing the children with all this glamorization of the military and guns. Also, why the Hell does a normal citizen have the right to own and AK? Really? Fucking really?! And then you wonder why congresswomen are getting shot in the head.

Also, if Charles Manson is serving life in prison for incitement, then Sarah Palin should be as well.

    Dear America,

1.You are so behind the other countries in terms of same-sex couples' rights. Please fix that. It'd mean the world to me.

    2. Stop getting involvd in things that are not your problem and that you know nothing about.

    3. Please work on your healthcare system. Take a hint from the other countries.

    4. Stop being so damn bigoted.

    Sincerely,

    A Jersey Girl

If you were a person, you'd be a media obsessed, sexually frustrated/confused, bipolar and schizophrenic person, who yo-yos between diets and pant sizes. I hope you understand my concern and get well soon.

    Dear America,

There are things I hate about you, lots of things, but not enough to make me ashamed of being an American. But let's get real here: if Sarah Palin seriously runs for president in 2012, and wins, I'm moving to Canada. No kidding. Not only is gay marriage legal there, but they have free healthcare. Sure, it's freezing, but it's beautiful, and while In N Out is awesome, Tim Horton's sounds waaaay better. Plus, they have bagged milk. That's just awesome. I love you, but no. Just...no.

    Love,
    Me

P.S.: I find it a little ridiculous that a man who acts like this and says things like,"it only took me a year to hate the families of the 9/11 victims because they wouldn't stop whining" still has his own tv and radio show, and actually has so many people take him seriously. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? At least when Jon Stewart claims he's making a joke or being satirical he's actually, you know, funny.

    Dear Non-Americans,

Please know that there's a large percentage of us that doesn't take the aforementioned bag of cray-cray seriously. There is also a very large percentage of us that are actually educated and have no acceptance for intolerance, hate and ignorance. There are lots of people who are working hard every single day to fix the problems that we have and make this country a better place. There are lots of people who could give a crap less about Snooki's latest antics or that crazy outfit Lady Gaga wore. We have our problems. But please understand that while we're very, very similar to each other, we're also so very different. So please don't try to generalize us or lump us into one category just because of some crazy, unintelligent, hateful people here and there. Remember that your country has its fair share of problems, too. We're not perfect and we never will be, and neither will you.

    Sincerely,
    Andrea.

P.S.: we know our remakes suck. You don't have to reminds us every five seconds. Trust me, we're aware. Thank you for pointing this out. We got it.

Stop feeding the starving people in other countries when we have starving people in our own. I understand some problems that might need to be adressed in other countries but damn, haven't we learned from the past that staying out of other peoples affairs is the best way to go?
    Agreed.

    Dear America,
There is always going to be violence in the Middle East. I understand initially going over there, but terrorist attacks have actually gotten worse since we went there. We're not fixing the problem, we tried and failed, so stop trying to convince the public we're trying to help them, because all we're doing now is trading blood for oil.
    Learn to spell, enough said.
Strengthening illegal immigration laws isn't going to help our economy, in fact, it's going to hurt it. If farmers have to pay everyone who works for them minimum wage, food prices are going to skyrocket.
Legalize marijuana already, keeping it illegal only gives more power to criminals involved in the drug trade, and increases the violence involved with selling and buying illegal items. Anybody remember Prohibition? Same idea, different drug. Legalize it, tax the hell out of it, that'll stimulate the economy.
Let gay people get married, it's nobody's business but their own.

Oh, and to the other 75% of America, and the rest of the world, the people who live in the Southeast are normal people. We're not some inbred, toothless scum with IQs in the forties. We are every bit as human as you are.

And with saying that, the stereotypes against us, and against the other poor and/or rural people of the United States, need to stop. Racism is wrong, sexism is wrong, and these stereotypes are no better, and should be by no means be as socially acceptable as they are. And your little 'white trash' jokes aren't funny, neither are the stereotypical racist jokes. You live in a trailer without power for a few months, you give your sweat and blood for minimum wage, you go without medical or dental care for years because of the high cost, you go hungry and tell me if being 'trash' is very funny.

    Dear America,

I have a few questions. Why can I not look forward to getting married like every straight girl in the country can? I'm human. The only difference is that the one I would be getting married to would also be a girl. Why are you so focused on celebrities? They're people, too. They just got lucky and got famous somehow. What makes them any different and more important? Why do I have to be a slutty toothpick in designer clothes to be considered beautiful?

P.S. Dear Utah mormons, (yes, i believe we have our own breed of mormons here so don't take offense if you're mormon)

Stop trying to force your religion down everyone's throat! I'm not mormon anymore and I don't plan on going back any time soon. You can believe what you want, I really could care less, but keep it to yourself. Also, keep your religious beliefs out of the government. They don't belong there. Despite our reputation, not everyone here is mormon so stop fueling the stereotype. When someone goes to NYC and says they're from Utah and the first response is, "Well how many mothers do you have?" it needs to be stopped.

    Dear America,

Stop trying to be the good guy in situations and stop meddling in the affairs of other countries! Don't act like the perfect country, you have your own problems like poverty, racism, and crime rates are constantly going up. It's not your place to intervene in something unless it involves you in the first place.

And please work on how you view immigration. I know it's illegal and all but people who live in poverty like Mexico, Central America, and South America, still see America as the 'Land of Opportunity'. Everyone wants a piece of the American Pie.

Not everyone. A lot of people who move illegally to the States hate living there but do so because it's the only way they can earn a living. I also know at least eight people who could legally live up there but decided not to because they like Mexico better. Just felt like saying that.

Yeah, I understand that. I only meant that in some people's mind America is this place where you will find good housing and work. (I'm living in Mexico I know what you mean, haha). I definitely Mexico better. There's an old quote I love that goes "It's not that we like living like this, it's that we like living here." (not sure if it really goes like that when translated to English). Anyways, thanks for pointing it out!

    Dear America,

You should be focusing on your own country's problems. By getting involved in other disputes outside of it you are causing them problems as well as us. Get your act together and we may stop losing faith in you. By "we" I mean the American that aren't me. I lost faith and respect for you years ago. Also, quit setting us up for more terrorist attacks. We lost enough innocent people on 9/11. I'd prefer not to lose anymore family through another one of those events.

    Sincerely,
The New York Citizen That Will Never Support You.

    Dear America,
You are not the only country in the world with these problems that the other letters on this thread state. The UK is no different. We are over commercialised, we have problems with obesity, teenage pregnancy and the government as well as the riots here over the past week... I could go on. So I don't understand why this thread exists when there isn't one for every country. Because they all have issues. I think it's sad that so many people, Americans and non-Americans, complain about the country just because it gets more attention than others.

    Dear America,

Please get yourself out of the Middle East. No one wants you there, trust me. Worry about the American issues rather than the other regions of the world's issues. Think of your country, since you're so damn proud and love 'nationalism'. You have a lot of ignorant people and I'm astonished by the amount of ignorance in America compared to other countries.

Please get the liquor stores, gun stores out the hoods and replace them with libraries. Stop having a war on drugs in Mexico when we have that shit everywhere here in America. Ya'll didn't care until Hispanics started crossing the boarders. Better yet, have a war on poverty IN AMERICA (not in no fucking Africa and India and shit). Make crimes against children more server because if you don't, they'll probably end up being just as fucked up as the people who fucked them up. Get rid of these crooked and dirty cops in ghettos. It's like beating a dead horse. Raise the dropout age requirement to eighteen so niggas (that word is not restricted by race in this case) can stop running around and girls can stop giving birth to babies when they're not ready for a child.

Stop smacking words from other languages in the dictionary to describe something that's already been described with hundreds of different words. Stop being so god damn prejudice (as a matter of a fact, that's to all the world) especially you America since you have every race living on your land; you're too diverse to be doing that shit.

Yeah, and clog up the board with 'I hate England' 'I don't like France because of this' etc. That would be pointless.
There's already a thread on America anyway. Or there is the letters thread in the General board (I have no idea what it's called).
