I have three siblings; two half-brothers and a half-sister. I never see them because they live in separate states in America, and all grown up xD

I have an older brother who is 9 years older than me. A couple of years ago my mum told me he was my half brother and that she was married before she was with my dad. I felt a bit shaken up because that I wasn't told before but now I realise it was a good thing. It doesn't make a difference wether my big bro is a half or whole or whatever. He's my brother and always will be.

I have two half sisters who are younger than me and I love them to death. I grew up with them and to me they are my sisters, not just half sisters <3

    I have two half-sisters and a half-brother.
^^My sisters and I are sisters through our mother, and we all have different fathers. My brother and I are related through our father. I'm the baby of the family, and even though my father is my sister's step-father and my mother is my brother's step-mother and my sisters and brother are step-siblings, we act like we are just one family, no different parents or anything. :) I have a wonderful, wonderful family-life!

Who refers to their half-siblings as half unless it's for a purpose like medical reasons?

I have a half brother. Very Happy He lives in Oregon, and we're related through my dad. My dad and I don't really talk often, and he's my only connection to my half brother. So it kinda sucks. Sad *sniff* I miss Kurt. D: Though, he's 2 years older than me (14) so we wouldn't have much in common... though it would be nice to have my brother around.

I don't, unless it somehow works its way into conversation, maybe from talking/mentioning fathers and such. Sometimes I just let it slide, but I genuinely hate it when people think my step-dad is my biological one, so I correct them. But that's for another time.

    File

Sometimes my mum pretends I don't even exist if she's talking to people she hardly knows about my younger siblings, like if she's out shopping and they're both with her, because the age gap is huge and she doesn't want to explain. Shifty But I guess that's for another time, too. XD

I just found yesterday I'll be an older sister to a two year old half brother. It's a little weird, tbh. I'm 17 and have always been the only child.

I have two half-siblings that I know of, which I've never met. My biological father left my family like 5 years ago and has preceeded to woo and knock up various women, none of which he stayed with.

I have a half-brother, about to be two. He lives in Florida, I live in Texas. He's my Dad's side of the family. There is no way he'll ever know me and I'll never know him. I'm fine with that, my family issues are big.

I have two half sisters on my mothers side, who I was brought up with and another half sister and a half brother on my "dad's" side who I don't know at all. When I was young they lived in the town I now live in so it's weird to think I could pass them on the street and have no idea. XD

I found out recently, well the end of December that I have a half sister. She's sixteen. We share the same dad. I've never met my dad (reasons for which are a long and complicated story). She lives in Florida, I live in Michigan. The last time we talked was on Facebook almost two months ago. She is hard to talk to. Honestly, finding out has not changed my life all that much. My life would still be the same if I hadn't found out.

I have two half brothers through my mother, and one half sister through my dad. My brothers are older, one being 21 and the other being 18. We're very close though and grew up together, so we don't actually think about each other being half siblings. But my sister on the other hand, I've never actually met. She's 33 and lives in another state with her husband and kids. I want to meet her, but my dad doesn't like to talk about her, so I don't push the subject.

Besides my twin sister, all of my siblings are half-siblings. It doesn't really bother me, because we've always referred to each other as sisters and brothers. We all have the same mother, (there's five of us) three different fathers. Three of my siblings are significantly older than me (the most by 20 years, the least by 11). So yeah. I don't think it's a big deal. People have a lot of relationships in their lifetime.

Technically I have two half-brothers, a half-sister and two "brothers" who actually have no relation to me whatsoever.

When I'm talking to people, however, I tell them that I have a brother (one of my half-brothers that I've grown up with my entire life), a half-brother and half-sister (because I've seen them maybe five times my entire life and couldn't possibly consider them full siblings), and two half-brothers (the ones who aren't related to me but who are my dad's children from his new marriage).

It's confusing because my dad, the one who is the father of the brother I consider to be my full brother and the two that aren't related to me, is the man who raised me and the one who I consider to be my dad. But he has no blood relation to me nor has he ever adopted me.

The half-brother and half-sister come from my biological dad who I really don't consider a dad. He was never around in my life growing up so I never formed a bond with him or those siblings.

I have a half brother and sister from my mom and a half brother and sister from my dad. I'm the only child from my parents marriage. My older sister is 25 and lives about an hour away from me, I see her about once a month and we talk on facebook and the phone and we text, my older brother is 23 and he has a wife and three kids and I've only ever met him twice, so I don't really count him as my brother. And then I have a younger sister from my dad, who is almost four and we live together with her mom and my dad, and a younger brother from my dad who is 17 months old who also lives with us.

I think if anyone tried to tell me that my half siblings weren't my siblings, other than my older brother, Id tell them to go shove it. My older sister and I don't even refer to each other as half siblings in conversation, just sisters, and my little siblings are always with me, and both of them love me and I love them, I love hanging out with my little brother and sister and playing outside with them and stuff. I think to say that half siblings doesn't count isn't right, as it depends on your relationship with them.

Likewise, I have one half-sister and we have different fathers. I rarely think about it though. She's been in my family since I was born so she's my sister through and through.
