Things You Wish You Could Write

Good description. My dialogue is great, but I struggle so much with description. Not that I'm a fan of too much description - like when I was reading Of Mice and Men, the seriosu description at the beginning of the chapters bothered me. But it seems like I can't reach the happy medium.

Sci-Fi and Romance stories that aren't all... cliche-y.

Dialogue. I can do it, obviously, but it always seems to be fake and uncharacteristic.

Chaptered stories. That get finished.

Poetry that is so sexy and awesome I have an eye-gasm from reading it.

To finish a story and it not suck.

I would love to write a murder mystery without it sounding cliche and stupid.

I wish I could write the next huge human drama. You know, a Faulkner or a Jack Kerouac or some huge tour-de-force that people would say defines my generation.
I know it's presumptuous, but when you dream, dream big. Right?

I wish I could write a really deep, complicated mystery. Something that you don't know any of the answers to until the very last page.

And I wish I could go back to being comfortable writing sex scenes again I used to be pro at them, but now I'm like, "Uh.... should I publish this? "

More crack pairings. Better established AUs.

Slash, horror... pretty much every genre apart from Romance, except for I'm pretty horrible at that too. Oh, and describing people.

I can't write stories where nobody dies
usually everyone dies very painfully

I also cant write very good sex scenes I mean I can but I just don't I suppose

I wish I could write better sex scenes. I seem to either rush through it or take to long.

Get better at using adjectives and other good describing words properly. Sometimes my mind just goes blank.

I wish I could have a story set in stone before I start. I always end up writing as I go, no matter what I plan.

But I know what you mean, and I agree. :)

I wish I could write a hooker fic. A good one.

Crack fic. Like good crack. I get weird ideas, but when they get into true crack territory I suddenly suck at executing them properly. It somehow evolves into over stupid "random!" type comedy nonsense, even when I don't mean to. I don't even know. Unless you count some of my older stories where I didn't know it was crack.
