So there's a thread for things that you think are overrated, but what about the things people hate on that you actually really love, or things that you're sick of people hating on because it's just getting old?

For example, Twilight, vampires in general, a certain band you really like but everyone else seems to hate, etc.

    Spread the love, people. Cute

    Mike Portnoy.

It just infuriates me that a lot of people seem to be hating him now just because he decided he didn't want to be in Dream Theater anymore, and is touring with Avenged Sevenfold and stepping in for Jimmy. I mean, it was his decision, and he made how many press releases about it? Two? Get over it, people. At the end of the day he's still an amazing drummer, Dream Theater's going to continue on, and life in general will move on. So stop hating on Mike already. [/rant]

In Love Mariah Carey. A lot of people in school despise her and when I ask them why they don't have a reason.

    My Chemical Romance's new song.

I'm all for people having opinions, but when my friends randomly, and excessively bring it up in a conversation, just to bitch about it, it pisses me off. They know I'm going to see them live, and tbh; thats the thing I'm looking forward to the most in life right now, but all they seem to wanna do is bitch about it and tear it down.

    ^ I've not heard anyone diss on it, probably because they know I over-do it when it comes to My Chemical Romance. tehe I hate it when people hate on bands and songs because they were once "the thing" in emo-land. (;

    I agree.
I don't think he deserves the hate. It's just my opinion but I think his movies are pretty intelligent.

    Twilight. Shifty

People hate on it too much and some just assume I like it because of the "hot guys", which isn't the case at all. The reason I go to see the movies is because I liked the books and want to see it on screen. If I wear Twilight merchandise, I get a lot of "Twilight sucks" shouted in my direction, as if it would make me mad, which it doesn't. If you don't like it, fine, but you have to deal with me liking it, especially if you're a friend of mine. And trust me, I'm not going to start hating it anytime soon. [/rant]

Sorry, I just had to say it.

I love them, really. They're rather inspiring in my opinion. In Love

    Christopher Eccleston/David Tennant/Matt Smith.

I don't care if you prefer one version of the Doctor over the other; each one has their merits, each one has their own sort of personality. Just, don't bash or hate on one or another. Especially the recent ones. People get very attached to 'their' Doctor, I know, but it's really not the actor's fault, so there's no use getting upset at them.

    Kate Hudson.

Musers...get the fuck over it already. She's dating Matthew Bellamy, they're happy. It's really none of your business. Stop being so obsessive, and be happy for him. And don't call her names, just...don't. You make yourselves look bad.

Radiohead just because their music's slower and written differently than the stuff you listen to doesn't mean that it's depressing, actually it makes me quite happy (really just at housemates).

Who cares if he had all that success and has written about pretty much everything ever and all that. Especially people bitching his post 2000 work, they seem to have neglected the many times he's said 'I'm getting old' and the fact that he can't sit and write properly since he was in that accident because he gets uncomfortable.

Read The Dark Tower series and The Green Mile then tell me he can't write Coffee

Ryan Reynolds and his casting in Green Lantern

I swear, even though I'm not all that impressed with the choice myself, that since it was said that Bradley Cooper was slated for the role everyones uber bitched Ryan for it. I think he'll make a good Hal Jordan, even if I'd have preferred Bradley just to look at him :3

    The A-Team Movie

Especially when they say it wasn't like the TV show and that BA would never go all peace loving like he did in the film. One, they weren't trying to make the TV series. If they did it would have been outdated, reguritated and well people would have really called it shit. Two, apparently BA went like that for a few episodes. You can't blame them for wanting to go for a less known part of his character.

God, this so much. It's definitely getting old. He's not the first pop star to become the "in" thing and he's not going to be the last.

Gays. It isn't your choice who they love, or the gender of the person they love.
