The summary kind of sets everything up. But it does it in a kind of nice way. Like it's giving you a sneak peek without taunting and teasing you too much. And I like the lyrics because those also bring in that bit of excitement. It makes you want to read it if that's the kind of thing that you read.

I really love that you used a Biblical quote, but also a non-Biblical quote. It looks incredibly interesting. So interesting I actually skimmed the first chapter and may go back to read it. I like how the summary pretty much fleshes Eve out. We don't need to know the story, really, because everyone knows it. So you just set us up for her characterization which ends with that one line which sets the story.

I like the warnings/wordcount being the first thing. It sort of lets you know a little about what you're about to read, and it's nice. The two quotes are laid out in the most brilliant of ways, and the slight description works without being too much.

I like how the first sentence is straightforward and to the point, I like to know what I'm actually reading. Generally the whole summary is straight up, which is nice. I like the last line - it kind of gives the story 'attitude'.

It's interesting. It gives you the plot, but not really. You don't know specifics, just history. I like that last line because it really makes you wonder if the detective has gone bad or if maybe they're vigilante killings.

It tied in really well with the title, especially this sentence: And when he goes away to camp that summer he's going to meet a boy named Dylan that is only going to amplify Brendon's—seemingly—new favorite emotion. I like how you ended it, and the length; short and sweet. It told enough of the story without revealing the whole story in detail.

Except for the typo (losing instead of loosing) I think it's great. It gives a lot of background information that makes you want to read more, but doesn't give a whole lot away. And I really love the second paragraph about the coffee.

The summary and the layout of this story are really pretty. I've always liked the way that you put the pairing at the top, Dru. Don't ask why, I have just always liked it. I also like mythology, so the way you tied the summary into the River Styx is interesting to me. Oh, and I also like recommended listening.

I wish there was more of a "tone" to the third line where it talks about what everything is. I just wish there was a narrative tone. I do like the excerpt. Gives us a glimpse of a character we aren't familiar with.

The summary is very straight-forward. It read to me more like you giving a friend the short clipped version of it, seemed really plain. I expected a bit more. But, I did find the topic of the story to be a bit interesting. I've only read one other story in which Brendon was blind and it was pretty great.

It's longer that what I'm used to in a summary. I appreciate that it's written in narrative voice (first person even!) and that it's more of a prologue, almost, than a summary in itself. It gives me a sense of setting and feeling and a very, very vague idea that this is going to be based on a central character.

I love how simple and to the point it is. It's realistic (because coming out to a parent is always the hardest thing to do) and you can tell just from the couple of lines given that it's going to be an emotional roller-coaster of a one shot.

The first line I think is lending itself to either a sad ending or the type of ending where the reader goes Y U DO THAT? Y U NO MAKE THEM GET MARRIED AND HAZ BBZ? But I love the little things you list and the things they have to overcome. It gives a picture with very broad brush strokes and then the story will give us the details, it seems.

I can't remember what story I've heard this from but I know it's one of those folktales.
Besides that it's very interest catching. Makes me want to read more (although I probably won't because sadly my eyes are extremely sensitive to the computer). And for some reason it reminds me of a folktale told in the story Things Fall Apart when Okonkwu's wife tells Ezinma the story about the turtle that tricked the birds into making him fly then eating up all the food.

Whoa, that's way off topic. I like folktales though. I like stories with meanings and not pointless reads. I don't know if the story has a meaning but the summary is good enough for me. =)

I'd love to see your own turn on the story rather than just the lyrics (well, I'm assuming they're lyrics/poem etc) as it would give an insight into the actual story. I however, think that the lyrics/poem etc is really nice and leaves the story plot open for many things. I'm interested in seeing where the story goes, and I think your summary is good for interesting the reader.

I think including the quote is great. It gives you a narrative point of view. This is interesting. It makes me want to know more. I like the comparison to Romeo and Juliet, but while calling them the 'alternative' but it also contrasts them (assuming they aren't dead). I like the mention of the reporter because it makes you wonder exactly what role she will play.

I really like that actually. I like the whole little preview of what the story is going to be about. It makes it just seem really real and something that people would want to read. I like that the explanation is straight and to the point.

I like how much backstory it gives but without giving too much away. Because the story is about a "new beginning" somewhat. It really sets the tone, the character, the mood. Well done.

Yay short summary! I'm a sucker for those. tehe I really like this one. It's short, but gives a feel for the story right away, and the quote seems to fit perfectly with the vibe I get from the summary. I like it. Con

I rather like the quote the way it is. Coffee It just makes it seem natural. I love how simple the summary is, but for a chaptered story I tend to want a little more. I like that you have a playlist. I just love that. (Coupled with the title, it actually makes me think of 500 Days of Summer. tehe)
