resurrecting a thread that's been dead since season 3 ended but what did everyone think of the first half of season 4 and did anyone else want to throw their televisions out the window during the midseason finale?

also LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT NEGAN OR ISSUE #100.

I was honestly just glad we weren't left with eight million cliffhangers. Those bother me worse than unhappy endings. I always knew that one person would have that happen at one point so that's something.

Definitely wanted to throw my TV out the window when I saw the midseason finale of Season 4!

No one is posting here, but I'm changing that because the next half of Season four started tonight.
I don't know if it was just me here, but I loved it. We got a new view of Michonne, and Rick scared the hell out of me with not waking up and I thought he was dead and then Michonne found them and ugh damn

Was kinda disappointed they didn't show the other characters until the preview at the very end though! But I loved seeing Michonne in a different light, and also Carl's growth and transformation is absolutely amazing!

I was so scared Rick was dead as well! I was just thinking, naaaah they wouldn't do that! Wait, they totally would! Haha, but I'm glad he's okay.

Yeah, but next episode we'll get more of Daryl, Beth, and the others which is great!
Haha Carl is just becoming more bad-ass every episode. But I'm glad I wasn't the only one scared for Rick there! Thank God he's ok.

It's really amazing how much Carl has grown up, especially when you compare him to the first and second seasons. Michonne's life is just sad, but I kinda figured she'd had a baby before when she didn't want to watch Judith and then started crying and speaking of which, do you guys think she's dead? I mean I understand they can't show a dead baby on television, but I'm really hoping that someone with bloody hands just grabbed her and took her away.

Oh, and I completely agree with the whole 'Rick being dead' thing. I would have been so upset if they'd killed him. I've read the comic books but the show is different, for example Andrea and Dale are still alive at this point in the comics, so with the show you never know.

To be honest I think Judith isn't dead and someone took her away. But then again, it'd be best if she was, no matter how sad it was. Bringing a baby into a world like that full of walkers is not very good tbh.
I know, in my opinion Dale should still be alive like he's supposed to be in this point in the comics. Can't say the same for Andrea - after Season 2 when she shot Daryl and got all whored up with Shane, I stopped liking her. But if Rick died I would seriously not even be ok. Rick cannot die Like, seriously. Same for Daryl, Carl, Michonne, Maggie, and Glenn

I don't think Judith is dead either but I did think Rick was. I was completely heartbroken. Then I started to think how can they possibly kill him off just like that...but hey you never know what they'll do on this show and that's half the fun.

The dream sequence with Michonne and the baby was so powerful, I really couldn't even deal with that. Wow. It just added more layers / dimension to her character, it was great.

Not to mention Carl shouting at a knocked out Rick about how he was pretty much a coward and a bad leader, ooh, the tension. When he said he could take care of himself then immediately the walker situation happened. Well. I saw that coming but I still flinched when he handled it.

The preview for the next epi is even more intense; I have no words.

I feel you! When Carl started shouting at passed out Rick it was intense. But when Carl said he didnt need Rick and Rick was better off dead I. Nearly. Died.
And Michonne's dream was powerful indeed. It literally made me see a whole other side to Michonne.
Ok but I wanna talk about the beginning when Michonne went back to the prison and you see the Governor dead and Hershel's zombie head. That was honestly the best beginning but seeing Hershel made me really sad because apart from Daryl and Carl he was my favorite character.

What do you all think is going to happen? Do you think they'll ever all reunite?

Also, that character development with Carl and Michonne was killer!

I doubt Daryl is going to die any time soon, ha ha. But I feel Tyreese might soon.
Can we talk about the fact Carol is back? I was just so happy when I saw her again!
And it looks like Judith is alive too! I did not expect that.

Yeah, the Judith thing took me back like crazy! Was so surprised, I thought she'd at least be killed by the kid.

Carol back is amazing! Though sort of awkward that she happens to be paired up with Tyreese, I wonder if they'll have the fling?

Glenn and Maggie being separated breaks my heart to tears!

I had a feeling Judith wasn't dead, but I was still surprised to see her with Tyresse! But Carol is back and with Tyresse. She killed Tyresse's lover so this is tense for me!!! I doubt they'll have a fling though.

I also doubt Daryl with die. He's such an asset to the show and the producers/writers/etc know they would lose so many viewers if they killed him off!

Can we also talk about how great Carl is? Sure he was once an annoying little kid. But damn he grew up. And Rick too! That hide n' seek he did was crazy. His drive to live and protect his family is crazy.

I wouldn't totally rule Daryl dying out. The production team will opt to kill him because people are convinced he's safe. I imagine it'll be a lot like issue #100 in the comic, it will come out of nowhere and cause a big outrage and people will cry but much like with things like Game of Thrones and Ned Stark back in season one (and the Red Wedding in season 3), the death won't impact the viewing figures all that much. Plus they've really been pushing the whole thing of nobody being safe in the past few months and there's the fact Reedus and Kirkman have a movie project going into the works. If that goes into production this summer (which I read it's slated to, but not from the best source tbh) then that clashes with the shooting schedule for The Walking Dead which means there's a chance he'll die either in the finale, or before the midseason break in season five. He might not, but yeah with Abraham there I'm convinced he won't make it to Washington and join in the war with Negan and his bunch.

BUT YES LET'S TALK ABOUT CARL. Carl's my favourite and I've never understood why so many people seem to hate him.

But really, I liked last night's episode. We got to explore more of Daryl and Beth and I thought it was interesting.

Did anyone notice the Easter egg and the painting in the house that Carl and Michonne pick up?

I cannot wait for this to come back on. I just hope whoever dies in the season premiere isn't one of my favorite characters.

Also, does anyone know when the sister show (i guess you would call it) will premiere? I recently read where they ordered episodes for it or something like that.
