I've found on a lot of threads that get off topic, or have people missing rules or something, could easily be fixed if people read the first page. However, most of the time they don't, myself included.

I was thinking, if the threads in the forums included the first post at the top of every page, it would help with keeping track of things/keeping the rules posted clearly.

I think that's actually a really good idea.

^I think it's a good idea on most areas of the forums, but on RP-ing, the first posts can be incredibly long. I know I wouldn't like it on there because of that. >.<

^ Yeah, I imagine it could be problematic in some of the photo threads and band threads as well. Personally, I don't like this idea that much. Maybe a reminder to read the first post could suffice?

    I really like this idea.

The forum we used for the Mibba Mag had this and I thought it worked out really well. It was the best way to be sure the message in the first post is always communicated to the people using it. I think this would especially be helpful in the game threads (where a lot of the time people jump straight to the most recent page and end up missing out on the instructions) and the updates thread (where people end up asking a lot of questions which are answered in the first post because, again, they automatically go the most recent post).

I don't see how it would hurt.

Just from a strictly superficial standpoint, I think it would look messy.

Also, if we did have something like this, I think it would need to be optional, for things like roleplay threads, chat threads or some discussion threads.

What about in just the "Updates" section. That's were no one really reads the first post, just asks what the point is and all that jazz. I personally think that's the only real part of the forum that needs a reminder.

Maybe if it were optional for the OP?

Like, a checkbox to put it at the top of all pages. I know that for help threads, discussions, games, etc, it's something that would really help clarify the purpose of the thread and divert off-topic things.
