    I read Hermione/Firenze, once.
    It was sick.

^ "sick" as in awesome or "sick" as in made you feel physically ill. XD

Also, I love this forum and feel like I should have an example, but I can't think of any. Think At least none that I think would count as crack... although there was that one my cousin and I found on an X-Files fansite that had Director Skinner, Agent Mulder, and Agent Scully in a bizarre threesome. Actually, if memory serves, there were multiple stories like that. Shocked no just no. Yak

I almost broke my usual aversion/ bizarre self-imposed ban on writing slash fic for a pairing that some people could consider odd (not me, of course, part of why I considered it was because it oddly worked.) The pairing was Justin Pierre/Patrick Stump. Shifty I have never told anyone that ever. Maybe I should do it now. XD

Definitely not as in awesome. It was really weird and uncomfortable.

My boyfriend earlier as a joke said I should pair up Will Noon and James Dewees seeing as though I talk about how much I love them that much - any thoughts on them being paired up?

"OH! They died because of your giant horse dongs!"

    lmfao I love AVPS xD

I seem to enjoy crackfics more when there isn't a pairing... I dunno why, I just do Think

^Truthfully, I haven't written or read very many that had pairings. I've heard of some though.

from the top of my head, the oddest one I've read was Bastian Schweinsteiger/Fernando Torres and then there was underlying Sarah Brandner/Olalla Torres. it almost made enough sense (Bastian's club transfer was incredibly realistic) and then there was the whole Sarah and Olalla business

I think I've read some with stranger pairings, I seem to recall one that was like Jeremy Clarkson/Jonathan Ross, but it was complete crackfic, with squids and Jeremy as a flower or something...I don't even know :')

I enjoy crack pairings when they are not in crackfics.

This chick calls it "creative canon" when it stays in bandom. Pretty much doing that seven degrees of Kevin Bacon shit and writing such a good story that you can actually believe the pairing.

I read crack pairings and ship them after. XD

That hippo and that tortoise are totally getting it on. File

Occasionally, when a fanfic writer gets hold of a crack pairing and makes it convincing enough, that ship gains a following and can even become very popular. It's even been known to influence The Powers That Be.
That is... kinda true, actually. XD

    ---

I think crossover crack pairings are the weirdest because there's no canonical basis for them at all, but sometimes they just work. Like I came across a Katie McGrath/Karen Gillan fic yesterday, and it should have been weird because they both work on completely different TV shows and Katie's one of the few Merlin cast members who hasn't worked on Doctor Who, but somehow it just worked.

I've written Brendon/Frank and Jepha/Victoria Asher, but that's pretty much the extent of my crack pairings. tehe

I've come across Brian Schechter/Lily Allen, Pete/Lily Allen, Gabe/Justin Timberlake, and Brent Wilson/Patrick Stump before, though. Didn't read any, though - I wasn't brave enough. XD

    I need to see this.

I got goosed (when the Duck Duck Goose game was active) to write a love story between a bear and a whale.

I think what I wrote sort of scarred me.
