What about in cases of rape? Are we sluts because we weren't physically strong enough to stop them? Men need to be held on the same level as women. If a woman is called a slut simply because she likes to have sex then men need to be called sluts as well. It's not a one way street.

I can not believe you just said that. I really want to give you my new thoughts about you and your opinion but I know for sure I'm going to get banned. I'm out of this conversation.

Yeah maybe that sounded a bit cruel but its not my choice honestly if I could change it I would but I can't.
Its how my culture works and I hate it.

    I don't support their beliefs

So, taken out of your culture, what are your beliefs surrounding it? If you were to tell me your own definition of a slut, not your culture's, what would it be?

Why do men have the freedom to do what they want without being demonized but women don't? I want to know your opinion as a person on this. Not your opinion reflecting what your culture believes.

Then I'm a slut and I'll loudly declare it because if I didn't let the man who raped me and stalked me for six months afterwards reduce me to nothing, then I'm certainly not going to let a highly uneducated girl on the internet do it. You can try to degrade me all you want, but I'm amazing and accomplished. End of. You can't void my achievements because you think your opinion on my sexual activity, both consensual and nonconsensual, outweighs all the positives in my life.

I know you think that shaming rape victims is somehow accomplishing something, but in all honesty, and take it from a survivor, there is absolutely nothing you can say in an attempt to destroy someone who has been subjected to that and rebuilt their lives that is going to matter. If you as a woman cannot respect other women and acknowledge their suffering, you deserve absolutely no respect in return.

I'm actually astounded by what you are saying in your posts right now. It honestly left me speechless for quite a while reading all of that. The beliefs you are defending right now... They are so archaic and harmful to women and men. How could you defend these beliefs? How could you not see anything wrong with them? I just...can't comprehend how anyone can think this way or even defend it.

Why does a man get to do whatever he pleases? Why is no responsibility put on the male? Why is all the blame and all the shame forced onto the woman? If a woman cannot have sex before marriage than surely, the same rules should apply to a man... Don't you think? Honestly, it doesn't matter if this is "how you were raised". That's no excuse for defending and perpetuating harmful standards to both sexes. You're a human being capable of independent thought and formulating your own opinions. How someone was raised is never a valid excuse. If you don't agree with the way your culture believes than stop defending it and start standing up for your own beliefs.

By the definitions you're defending, I'd be classed as a 'slut' by them. Really, if someone wants to refer to me as a slut than that's fine. It says more about who they are as a person than it does about who I am as a person. I like sex. It's a natural thing to like sex; humans are naturally sexual creatures. I used to be ashamed of what I had done in the past to the point of lying about it but my girlfriend has helped me gain more confidence in my past. Having sex or having sexual encounters with people isn't something to be ashamed of. Liking sex isn't something to be ashamed of and a woman shouldn't be branded a 'slut' just because she may like having sex.

Alright. Well you'd better be prepared to label majority of the female population "sluts". Sex is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for both parties, and as such liking sex should be a natural occurrence in humans, regardless of gender.

If you really believe the hateful things you're saying then I'm wondering what exactly happened to make you hate yourself this much and to make you treat other people with this much derision. Shaming women for owning their sexuality? Shaming rape victims?

    How dare you.

You need to stop hiding behind 'oh this is how my culture feels' or 'I know it's cruel, but'. Just stop. Don't say you hate it. If you really hated it, then you'd stop spouting it. Think for yourself and think long and hard about how someone else is feeling and thinking before you decide it's okay to punish them for things you perceive as weaknesses.

Your appalled by me? Your not the one living with this kind of life! Do you not know how it is like to wake up everyday and be judged by every move you make? No. I am not a cruel and hatfull person in fact I'm one of the nicest people you would ever meet. I don't blame woman for getting raped if anything there the victims and men should be burnt for treating a woman that way but because the law isn't strict enough most of them get away with it. Men and woman should be treated as equals.
Also I'm not some internet troll, after some of the things cyber-bullies have said to me online I would never treat people in the same manner.
You should really get to know the person before you start judging them.

    Sorry for any offencive language.

I don't know. I'm apparently a slut because I wasn't able to fight off my rapist. If you don't blame rape victims, then don't fucking call them sluts.

Nicest person? Don't pull that manipulative stuff. Your posts are still there. We all saw how you talk about women. Treated as equals? You specifically said men are the only ones that are allowed to enjoy sex and shouldn't be punished. You blamed rape victims.

I am basing all my comments on things YOU said. If you want to be in denial about how cruel YOU have been this ENTIRE TIME, then SURE. Let's play the denial game. Let's pretend you didn't essentially call any and all rape victims that look at this thread weak.
    Maleficent A:
    @ stillborn.
Sadly it even apply to rape, if that do happen to a woman then it her fault (unfair Ik)
You said it was her fault. Her fault. Don't you dare backtrack now. Not with evidence. I've never been weak and it was never my fault. You're not sorry and you're not nice.

All discussion in this and any debate thread must remain respectful. Derogatory name calling is bashing and against the General Site Guidelines.

If you look at my previos posts I said its what my CULTURE believe not me. I didn't personly write you "you are a slut because you got raped" I mean why would I say that? If I call you a slut then I'm calling myself a slut to. Seriosly I am literly crying right now plus I'm trying really hard not to cut myself right now and believe me you are not helping. I'm not some sick person your making me out to be.

If it's what your culture believes (what part of Great Britain actually believes in slut and victim shaming anyway?) and not you, then stop presenting it as fact.

I literally am having no sympathy for the fact that you're crying because you have put so many people through so many emotions in these threads. You have abused and name called so many people. No, you didn't have to say you. You said if a woman is raped, then it's her fault.

You don't believe it? Stop saying it. Maybe then we'll actually believe a single word that comes from you.

So what do you a slut is?
I don't have a definition for the word "slut" as I don't use the word and believe it should never be used. Slut is a derogatory slur against women in general and I don't use derogatory slurs. The term 'slut' does nothing but to shame women for having sexual desires. It perpetuates the idea that women should not be allowed to have sex and that female sexuality is a bad thing. It is a derogatory slur and derogatory slurs should never be used.

Think about it this way... How would you feel if someone called you a slut or used a different slur against you? It probably wouldn't make you feel too good about yourself, would it? So why use that term to purposefully hurt another person? And no one can say they're not using slut to hurt someone else because a term like slut has no other purpose than to cause emotional harm to the person it's being used against.

    I have been raped.

Do you actually think I would say from my own personal thoughts that its a woman's fault? That wouldn't even enter me brian. Its my family's beliefs I have repeated this over and over again.

But its ok. Don't believe me I don't care. Nobody else did.

I'm fine now anyway. Three weeks I had managed not to cut but I suppose it was all for nothing now.

I'm sorry if my posts came off as a offencive, maybe I should of tried putting my point across more clearly.

I'm sorry for offending you and anyone else.
