Heather's list of favourite characters: Tyrion, Cersei, Margaery, Ramsay, Jamie, Olenna, John (obvi), Yara, Arya, The Hound, and Yrgritte (RIP). And maybe now Euron. We'll see how it goes.
Least favourite: Sansa (Although she's getting better), Tommen, Theon, Tywin, Jorah. Much shorter.

In the trailer for next episode there's a rider who approaches Meera and it's definitely not a Walker so it makes a compelling case for his return. And yes! I love Sandor so I'm hoping his return signals big things for him.

Dany wouldn't like Euron because she won't marry again and there's rumours that he's the one who burnt the ships in episode one which is why he wants to take a fleet to her. It sounds good but it's not confirmed, though it sounds good. XD Euron wasn't large than life that I was expecting which is why he felt like a let down. Plus the best Greyjoy was missing so the Kingsmoot was very lacklustre in my opinion. I thought Theon was great - when he met Sansa last series, he began slowly growing from Reek and back to Theon, and now he's been away from Ramsay for such a long time. He knew that he couldn't be king and when they acknowledge that he was at the moot, supporting Yara was the only thing he could do. He's still broken and it does show still.

While they're both in the vision, watch as it happens. You see his face and he doesn't try to stop it. It's quite sad.

How is this thread not more active? I'm beyond obsessed with this show. So sad that there are only 2 seasons left and apparently they're going to be 7 episodes each instead of 10.

Any other active members into this show?

Hi! Bye The show's lost a lot of its appeal to me since series four but I'm still around because I love certain actresses. I thought one was having eight episodes and one seven? I'm not sure which but I know they're filming them both back to back.

Yeah, it's not as good as it used to be but in my opinion season 6 was better than 5 at least. I'm just so invested in the storylines though that I'm able to forgive a few faulty episodes. I'd only heard that they were 7 episodes each but then again I haven't read up on it much lately. I'll have to check that out. I'm mainly disappointed that they pushed back the airing dates- instead of April like usual I heard it's going to be June? That's too long to wait lol. But again I haven't read anything on it in a while so I'm not sure...

Which are your favorite actresses? I actually prefer the male characters in this show- namely Tyrion and Jon but then again I like most of the actors in general.

Oh, it was definitely better than series five (though I lump episode one into series five because that was horrendous) but to me I take the show with a pinch of salt now. Someone actually said that it's like fanfiction but I agree which is why I can still watch it regardless of certain butchering of characters (looking at you, Jaime). I reckon the airing date's been pushed back because of them filming back to back. I hope the series synopsis gets leaked again. tehe

I absolutely love Sophie as Sansa, despite the fact that they're currently ruining my favourite. I love her growth and development and Sophie's portrayal of her in the first couple of series was brilliant. Natalie as Margaery was a favourite too until they decided to purge the cast in an explosion. Rolling Eyes In terms of the actors, I love the Hound and Tormund, and if they'd followed Jaime's arc then I would've loved him but not even Nikolaj's acting can make me love him in the show. I'm gutted that they killed off Stannis and Roose because those actors nailed their characters to a tee.

I've heard the fan fiction thing too but really they just ran out of source material since GRRM can't seem to get another book out. Some of it does feel like fan service though but after all the grief the first 4 seasons I think it was due lol. Constantly killing every single major character loses its shock value after a while so I'm glad they toned that down a tad.

But I agree about Jamie; the past 2 seasons he's just done a 180 on his character growth and is back to worshiping his crazy sister. I wish they hadn't of went that route with him because he had become one of my favorites after me hating him at first. And I absolutely LOVE Tormund and The Hound too (oh and Bronn). Sansa has her ups and downs but I loved her revenge on Ramsay. As far as Stannis goes, I liked him all right up until he murdered his own daughter but he was interesting to watch.

They had source material for series five and that was rubbish, and also the time I first heard the fanfiction thing. I pretend that Dorne doesn't exist in the show and if I'm honest, the show seems to be pro-Dany which I hate. There's only so much fan service that once can take before hating it entirely. I accepted no Lady Stoneheart, I was disappointed at no Young Griff but some of the changes have been horrendously bad.

I swear, if they make him still be loyal to Cersei in the next series, I'll stop watching. If they make him be loyal to his sister who used wildfire in King's Landing when he killed his king who was going to do the same, then they clearly don't understand his character or even the world itself. They made Sansa a victim in the show again (after having her grow in series four and five) and I hope the writers get over making her a constant victim. I will never forgive the writers for destroying Stannis' character before his death. Shireen was his heir, his wife wasn't having more children, there was no way he would have burnt her to thaw some snow when he's fighting for the throne. It'd mean if he won then there'd be a succession crisis and more fighting upon his death and that's not what he'd subject the realm to. I do believe she'll be burnt in the books but not by Stannis.

I am bringing this back. What does everyone think? I'm just now watching the third episode of the latest season now. I'm glad I haven't had a long wait for the finale because I didn't have HBO for a bit and now the episodes are On Demand.
