Who Inspires You?

Who inspires you to be who you are, or to do something out of the box? Your role model or just someone you look up to?

For me, it's Lady Gaga. She's inspiring on how she says her opinions no matter who disagrees, and does what she pleases even if it's shocking. She truely is her own person.

Lady Gaga is definitely one of my idols and role-models.

I have to say that Hayley Williams and Taylor Swift are my other role-models. And I would never forget Demi Lovato! She has been through so much, and I am so happy that she is okay. I love her like a best friend, even though she doesn't know who I am. I just want to be as strong as her, and I know that I can make it through anything. Because she has made it through everything that she has.

Avril Lavigne, definitely! I discovered her on a Kidz Bop CD where Girlfriend was one of the songs. I looked her up and I love her music!

Another is Katy Perry. I love all her song except Teenage Dream.

Billie Joe Armstrong. He inspired me to pick up a guitar over 6 years ago, and through that i discovered my love for music. He's just, he's my idol to be honest.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Kat Von D, Matt Bellamy, Amy Lee.
They all inspired me for the various arts I've picked up (guitar, singing, drawing, writing) and though I'm not the best in them, they inspire me to practice and be the best.

My grandma as well, she's so sweet and she's the toughest lady ever. <3

I seriously look up to the guys in Avenged Sevenfold. I'm so happy I started listening to them 6 years ago. It's so cheesy, but they've been there for me in rough points in my life, when no one else was. And its not only their music that inspires me, its who they are as people. Most bands who make it big only worry about staying big and making money. These guys don't. They don't care about making it big at all, they just make music for their fans and that's what they love. Man, I could go on and on about them...

I know exactly what you mean, that's how I feel about Manic Street Preachers I love intelligent bands with a message who stand for something. Their music can always make me feel one way or another, and their lyrics always make me think and learn something, as well as often times describing something I've felt but never knew how to word. I'm inspired by the lyrics, the instrumentals, their interviews, their creative styles and glamour, their intellect, just about EVERYTHING. So glad my best friend randomly decided I needed all of their albums (well, that she owned) that one day back in 2004 :) The Clash are definitely up there as well for the same reasons.

Same... I just hope that I can do that, as well, and SOON. Though luckily for him he was famous and probably pretty rich at the time and didn't have the financial burdens that have made my addiction so much more than lines, deals, cravings, highs, and withdrawals... Still, he's definitely an inspiration to me

Brian Fallon and his music has helped me get through so many rough times in junior high, along with Mike and Tim Kinsella. Those dudes and their music have inspired so many stories of mine as well as my way of songwriting.

Alex Pardee and Lora Zombie are my idols. Bobby Chiu, also. Such an inspirational person, his words are electric. And on the topic of electric words, Frank Turner. He's good for the soul.

All of my favorite musicians and actors inspire me in one way or another. Some are more inspiring to me such as the Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, and Dianna Agron.

JARED LETO. This man has got me through some hard times.
He told his fans to reach down deep, grab your dreams and let everything else go.
And he's 100% right. We all need to follow our dreams.
I think without Jared Leto in my life, I wouldn't know how I would be smiling.

There's a number of people, mostly musicians.

More than anyone else has, though, it would have to be Jenn Ghetto.
I found her music when I was going through a really dark part of life, and she gave me the courage to press on as things got even worse. She helped me out of it, and part of me fell in love with her because of that. I'm not talking about the same kind of love most people refer to, though. When I see her face, when I hear her voice, I'm reminded of myself. Thanks to her, I learned to not hate myself so much for the mistakes I've made in the past, I learned to look forward, and I learned that there's a special kind of bliss one can experience, when you're feeling at your absolute worst. I've learned to look past it, thanks to her.

I inspire myself, lol. My inspiration doesn't draw all that much on the people around me or particular figures. It's all internal.

Serj Tankian is my role model. Not only is he an amazing vocalist (lead singer of System of a Down) he is also a multi instrumentalist. He has realesed 9 albums total. He is also an amazing poet.

He knows how to have fun, he has amazing morals, and he doesnt care what other people say or think about him. Actually, i guess the entire band of System of a down, i kinda look up to, but Serj is my favorite.
