American Horror Story is a horror-drama television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The show follows the Harmon family, Ben (Dylan McDermott), Vivien (Connie Britton) and Violet (Taissa Farmiga), who move from Boston to Los Angeles after Vivien has a miscarriage and Ben has an affair with one of his students. The family moves to a restored mansion, unaware that the home is haunted. Ben and Vivien try to rekindle their relationship while Violet suffers from depression.

Is anybody else watching this show? I think it is pretty amazing and a nice change of pace from most television shows.

I've only seen the first episode, but I'll be watching the second soon. I started watching it with my mom and she didn't like it, so we stopped half way through. I kind of like it, but I could do without all the masturbating and sex. I understand why it's there, I just felt the 5 instances in the first episode was too much. I don't want it to be like True Blood.

My mom doesn't like it either, but that's because of the whole 'horror' factor of it. And I agree, I hope the amount of sex that was in the first episode isn't a continuous this. I mean, I have no problem with sex in shows or movies but when it's in one episode so often it seems like they are using that as crutch to get people to watch it.

I love the show, and I just started it two days ago. I can't find the second video online, however, so that makes me really sad, because I just want to figure out what happens to everybody o__o

^ You can easily stream it from here.

I watched the beginning of the first episode, but I kind of stopped. I think it was boring me a bit, but maybe that was because I was so tired. I might give it a second chance this weekend.

I will say that this show is my guilty pleasure. The writing is impeccable and the characters are so well played.

    ^ Agreed!

Does anyone know if Adelaide is gone now or if she's returning as a Ghost next year after the midseason breaks over? Because she was my favourite!

All right, coming back from my previous comment; I really, really love this show, now that I've seen all of the episodes. It's so well written and I love the acting.

I love how they are planning on doing the second season. Sure, it may suck for those characters that you absolutely love. But it's going to be like watching a completely new show every season--which hopefully there will be many, many more.

And congrats to the show for the two Golden Globe nominations!

I just started watching this last night, watched the first three episodes online and absolutely hooked!

I kinda already knows what happens in the whole season because of people posting stuff all over Tumblr, but, it hasn't really spoiled any of it because it's confusing as heck...partially. I like a show that makes my brain work. Not usually into the 'horror' type of genre, but it seems more drama with horror elements than real horror.

I really liked this show for the first two or three episodes, and then it just got overwhelming and ridiculous. They did way too much in a way too short span of time. I have to say though, I am a sucker for Tate...and Jessica Lange is amazing as always

I love American Horror Story. It's just so amazing. The actors and actresses in that show really did an amazing job. But, I wish they had gone more in depth with the secondary characters stories. I'm a sucker for that gave couple, Patrick and Chad I believe their names are. (especially Chad who is played by Zachary Quinto)

But, the thing that upsets me is that season two will be all new characters and no Harmen family... Or Tate. At least, that's what my dad read in an article. I think the show will lose it's ratings. The characters now are American Horror Story and to just get rid of them is a horrible idea.

Have to admit that one of the reasons I love AHS so much is because of Zach.In Love

The article I read said that some of the same actors will be back just not as the came characters. I think that it's a nice idea. All the series I watch have the same group of people every season. I think it'll keep it fresh and actually bring more audience members in. I was really excited about this idea. By the end of the season I think the only thing I was curious about was the little boy. They had wrapped all other ends up. In other shows they don't do that. Yes I am going to miss most of the characters, especially the ones I wanted to see more of like Nora Montgomery but I can't wait for the next season to see what it brings. But I suppose that's just me.

I miss the show so much. I can't believe that Murphy is taking it to another family and another place and just...a new everything next season. I don't think I'll get as attached.

Apparently there's been so much uproar about absolutely everything being changed next season the writers are kinda like "Ahh, um, yeah, maybe that's not the best idea ever."

Well, if they do it like they do in Skins, then I suppose it won't be that bad, right? I have to say, that I'll miss Tate and Violet a lot if they don't end up in the new season, but I'm sure that Ryan and Brad can make anything work.

I've heard [not sure if it's true or not] that Murphy is possibly planning to revisit the Harmons and the Tate Violet story in Season THREE. [Which, one...means he's even considering a season 3 and two...MORE TATE, hopefully] Though I didn't wtch AHS purely for the Tate/Violet relationship.

My favourite character was actually Moira. No real idea why...

And is it twisted that I'm most attracted to Tate when he's angry or hurting/threatening/killing people?

I thought it was pretty great. Up until the last three-four episodes. It just got whiny and boring, I feel. Like, it got too dramatic, like they were trying to make a new Sunset Beach but pass it off as something actually serious. And even though I loved Tate it felt like he was just too.... meh. Like, it was cool when he was angry or sad or weird. But then he was everything, especially at the same time, and he just kept crying all the time.

At the end it felt so awkward that they didn't seem to care at all that one of their kids were going to grow up with a woman who... well, was a terrible mother. The only character I genuinely couldn't stand was actually Constance. And I couldn't understand how Violet just simply couldn't get that Tate was dead already.

Meh, maybe I would've liked it more if it hadn't been so spoiled for me. But yeah, I don't like the premise of having another family in the next season etc. Then they should just make a new show, in my opinion. I liked some parts of it, don't get me wrong, and it was thrilling and chilling or funny in places. But it got to be too much in the end.
