Spoilers are in white!
I started watching American Horror Story a few months ago and I've finally caught up, somewhat. It's my first "real" horror show to watch, and god damn I found
Murder House a little scary. Especially the
Piggy Piggy episode. I couldn't watch most of that one. Whoops. I love the characters in it, especially Moira and her two selves.
The ghosts amused me, and I wish Nora Montgomery had been in it more. I also didn't like the ending. Open endings bug me so much.
Asylum is by far my favourite season, I love the creepiness of it and the "can't look but can't turn away either" scenes in it. I found
Spilt Milk extremely disturbing though, and felt there was quite a few unfinished storylines, especially the one concerning
the sex addict that Dr Arden experimented on -- I know she was found wandering towards kids on a playground, but was that really it? While I loved the ending, it's just those untied strings that really let me down.
Coven was definitely a bit of a let down after it, especially in terms of scariness. I found it to be pretty teen-series petty drama, but I love magic and it totally made up for it.
Except for Zoe Benson's death, that pissed me off. Why?! I loved the mystery surrounding who would be the next Supreme, and the finale was just a whole lot of "wow". I love Misty Day and Myrtle Snow, although I really didn't like the appearance of Stevie Nicks. I found it a little unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, I love Fleetwood Mac, but I just didn't see the appeal after Fiona buttering Misty up.
I really like the fact that it's an anthropology, and the change of characters doesn't really bother me all too much as I feel they tie up the seasons rather nicely (for the most part).
I only have one question: I'm considering watching
Freak Show but how scary is it really? I've heard it's the most disturbing season to date, but I'm not really sure if it can top
Asylum.
