Classic Ipod

Hi everyone. So I'm trying to figure out if I really want an Ipod classic, the 160 gb. I'm pretty sure I want one, but I would love to hear some personal experiences with them. So yeah...Tell me pros and cons.

Also, does anyone know if you're able to take movies/tv shows from the Classic Ipod and put it back onto a laptop?

The classic ipod is the way to go if you have a lot of music (or movies) you want to put on it. The only real advantage it has over the touch is it has a crapload more space for it, especially the 160GB model. If you can fill that hard drive, i'd say it's a better choice than the touch, but that's just my opinion.

I loved my 160GB classic before it got stolen a few weeks ago.

And it is very possible to move music and movies off it and back onto a computer, if it's formatted for Windows (NTFS). I'm not sure if it's possible (or at least as easy) if it's formatted for Mac.

I love my Ipod classic, it runs a bit slow, but that could be because I have so much crap on it or because it's gotten dropped so many times (lol) but yeah definitely worth it I think but I'm obsessed with music. When I say slow I mean lagginess in the coverplay so that like album covers take a while to load or it might take a few seconds to switch songs if you're directly changing it :I I recommend :)

I've been using an 80GB iPod classic since 2007 and I would never trade it for any other version of the iPod. It's great for storing a whole lot of stuff (movies, music, pictures, etc), which the iPod touch can't. However, the downside to an iPod classic is the small screen, so when watching movies, you have to strain your eyes. Other than that, it's a great buy. Oh, and the feel of the click-wheel is simply... Classic. Everything's touch screen now.

I have a way way old Classic, mine's the 30GB that's how old it is, but it works great. Apple products last, so I'm sure the modern version will be even better.

I have the 160gb classic, was a bit unsure buying it at £200 but so worth it. I have enough music to justify having the larger memory and I have also been pleased of watching videos on it (mainly music videos but also some TV shows), the only annoying thing is you can't transfer DVDs onto iTunes!

Also, my bro told me to always remember the classic is the only iPod with moving parts, so you don't want to drop it too often or shake it about a lot (when I go running or trampolining with music on, I take my old nano, just to be sure) so just be careful of that. But if you're vaguely careful with it, it will last.

Oh, and it has mega battery life, if you turn the brightness all the way down, and the screen is still easily readable at that level.
