The Twitter reaction was just as bad on my TL when it was first announced. Trust me, the #ONEBIGDISAPPOINTMENT trend had everything to do with some American fans waking up at 4AM to be disappointed that we weren't announced right away for dates.

YES, THERE ARE AGE LIMITS DEPENDING ON THE VENUE. YOU CAN SEE THEM HERE.

But basically, stadiums are huge. Think football stadiums. Think 50k (sometimes more) capacity. It'd change their careers forever because it'll spread word about them everywhere. It's a worldwide tour, right now a couple countries are announced for the 2014 Where We Are Tour, but more are being announced as the year progresses.

JFC. Don't you think that if it were for the American fans, then the announcement would have been better timed for them? Americans need to stop complaining, 1D always comes out for them and need to stop being so selfish. I mean, yeah okay I heard they weren't going to Aus, but they did say more dates are coming so maybe we'll get a shot. And if we don't, I DON'T CARE I'M SEEING THEM ANYWAYS so it makes no difference to me.

I'm kind of hoping they don't come to US + Aus so they can rest because seriously, they're going to die by the end of it.

Holy shit, wow, that's amazing. I saw Niall tweet about performing in Croke Park and how that was an honour (so cute to see Niall like that haha) but aww, I'm so happy for 1D. Although I wish they were taking a break in 2014 and were coming back in 2015. Like, 2014 should be their year to take their time to make a new album, still do promos and stuff but keep it to their own country. They can travel, but no tours. So basically be on the down-low so when they did come back in 2015, they'd be energised and ready to go. Our boys need a break, this tour is going to break them.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR AGE RESTRICTIONS - I'm so happy to be 18 right now. Now I really hope they do come to Australia so I can be surrounded by other sane eighteen year olds hahahahahaha

It happened at 4 in the morning, so everyone (including me) were disappointed. I can understand though because all of us were cranky from being up. It was supposed to be huge -- of course we were going to be awake to hear it. Plus the site crashed from so many people going on it. Not to mention everyone was all "WE KNEW THIS ALL ALONG IT'S A TOUR WOW SHOCKING" and sarcastic fucks everywhere.

Management would never let them. They still have to promote their new album (which I think, coincidentally, is titled Where We Are) for 2014, since it's coming out later this year, around October-November. Trust me, I'd love for them to not tour and chill, but with Modest! we're never going to get that because they're trying to suck the money out of this band until their contract ends in 2015.

They posted a video of the stadiums that they're going to be playing at and just, wow. They're massive. I'm so proud of them. It's truly amazing. But like I said before, they won't take a break. One Direction are already exhausted enough as it is, but Modest! isn't going to stop until their contract ends. I mean, think about it, their new album is almost finished. What have they been doing all this time? Touring. They had a month break or so, but that was spent recording for the new album as well.

I agree, though. These tours are going to break them. And just think -- most of the One Direction fans don't even know how horrible they're feeling, because they refuse to believe that Modest! Management is the source of all the boys' problems.

I'm going to be eighteen as well, so I'm pumped! If they announce dates near me, that is. Regardless, I can see why they're placing age restrictions. These are stadiums. Apparently the Standing area is going to be so bad that people will be fainting, throwing up, and worse. Nobody is going to want to bring any 12 year old or younger to a concert like that. The way I see it, this tour is going to be like a rock concert, without so much "violence". It's going to be absolutely crazy.

That is true, and I would be annoyed in that aspect of waking up, but at the same time I'd still be happy for everyone else, y'know? But we all did predict a tour. I was hoping for a mega tour between 1D and Little Mix (PERRIE AND ZAYN TOGETHER WHAT WHAT) or a short reality tv series but that clearly wasn't going to happen, hahahah.

The thing is, though, that even if the boys dropped Modest!, they'd be picked up by another management so quickly. No one is going to give up the opportunity of managing One Direction considering they're at their peak.

There's still going to be violence - catfights between the twelve year olds while I'm chilling with the mothers in the 18+ section, AW YEAH. Well, maybe there'll be some annoyed mothers but whatever, I'll politely push them out of the way, hahahahaha.

When JB came to Sydney in 2011, he was supposed to have a concert but it got cancelled because girls kept pushing and shoving and some even were hospitalised for it. Aussie girls are crazy, but there's always a psychotic bunch in every crazed fandom, I suppose.

    YES I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

This song just shows how much they've grown, both musically and mentally.. and watching their music mature like this is just insane. When I first listened, I just gawked at my screen the entire time because I couldn't believe how different their sound was.

I'm flippin' out over the new album. I'm so amped for it. tehe

I wouldn't call myself a fan. More a casual listener since they don't fit into my normal playlists of metal and post-hardcore, but I like them every now and then. I think though that some Directioners have taken it too far on the Internet, but when I put my Louis Tomlinson/Tony Perry story up on Tumblr, the One Direction fans were far more supportive than the Pierce The Veil fans. The boys are dears, though, and I have a lot of trouble seeing why they get as much hate as they do. I think it stems from the insane members of the fanbase, such as the group who claimed a five-year-old girl should kill herself after her father passed and that another young man was responsible for his brother's suicide and he should, in turn, kill himself.
