I Need advice...
I was asked to be the godmother of my friend, Oliver's child when they get approved for adoption. This was really out of place for me because I thought that one of my friends would do it down the road but here it is today because I have made friends six years older than me and here we are. Oliver just graduated college and Paul is a nurse at a hospital and they are ready for a family but am I ready to be a godparent? I've known Oliver for 3 years and he was already with Paul. They're perfect for each other and Oliver is super great with kids and of course Paul mainly works with pediatric patients so, they are ready and they have a house and they have their life planned out at 25 and 29 while I'm here in college like What do I have for lunch today? They told me they know how society will look on their relationship and their son or daughter but they want them to have a mother figure to go to if ever needed. I'm nineteen! Can I even handle being a godmother? I mean I have 4 younger siblings and I know how to take care of younger siblings but I am being asked to be in this child's life forever! Its a big commitment, you know? Am I overreacting??????
