I wouldn't believe an anon on Tumblr; more times than not they are just trying to stir shit up. Plus, I would never believe a person (in real life even) if they started to use the phrase "I have this friend" or any of its counterparts. I mean, in the recent interviews they've done, Gerard seems really happy and excited. And isn't it kind of contrary to say he's a deadbeat when he's finalizing/publishing up a comic book with his buddies?

I agree with that. People are saying that it's Mikey's life, but the fact is Alicia (from what I know) found out via fans on Twitter who found the photos. Allowing the girl he was cheating with to post photos on a public site of them was extremely sloppy of him.

Cheating is just a no from the start. If you marry someone and then find out you no longer love them a few years down the line then you end the relationship. Simple as. You don't go and cheat on your other half and get engaged to someone else while STILL being married. No matter whether you're famous or not. That's just wrong altogether.

I'm sure you guys are right about that, I just saw it and it gave me a mini-panic attack.

Tumblr seems to have calmed down, so now we just enter the waiting period for an official confirmation/explanation, I guess.

I completely agree with both of you.
And it hit me out of nowhere because I just started getting back into the band. (I was a huge fan a few years ago and kind of abandoned them which was stupid because their music is incredible.)
I get on tumblr one day and it's all like..anti-Mikey and reading up on it, I just decided to stay out of the whole thing. Especially on Tumblr because I don't feel like getting torn apart.

The idea that Mikey cheated really upset me, but i was like "its his life, and not any of my business" I didn't want to judge but when i found out that it was with a 19 year old fan girl I felt sick. NINETEEN YEARS OLD! I know its legal but it just really shocked me. I just can't believe he cheated on his wife whom he had been with for years with a 19 year old. I still love MCR but i am a little bit devastated.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the age but that's because I'm generally okay with any type of consensual relationship. It's the whole cheating aspect and the fact that he spent Christmas with his wife before being pictured a week later kissing the girl that's wrong.

Wait, wait, wait. I thought she was 20? I'm half tempted to send Mikey a tweet and ask how deep the whole he's dug for himself is. Fame does not put you above the assholery that is cheating and I really feel for Alicia right now. My respect for him is pretty much gone but it won't effect how much I like the band or their music.

She is 20; she is a MCR fan that models. Her name is Sarah. Considering she's my age, I really don't know how to take that...

Thank you for clearing that up. I've seen 18, 19 and 20 since learning about what happened. Meh, some fan she is. No one deserves to be called or call themselves a fan if they're going to run around ruining the members marriages. That being said, I have no idea how the marriage was before she popped up but she still ruined any chance of it being fixed if there were any problems. If I was Alicia I would ditch him and find someone that could actually be trusted.

I think if Mikey actually divorced Alicia before all of this Sarah madness I wouldn't be as disappointed; I would still be a little upset he's dating a fan, but it would have been better than this whole cheating situation. And I really hate that some fans speculate, "Well, their relationship was on the rocks, so it's okay; they were going to break up anyway", haha, no.

If they were divorced or even separated with no way of ever getting back together (i.e. ending in a divorce anyway), I wouldn't feel disappointed nor would I even consider that Mikey was in the wrong because he wouldn't have been. Evidently, they weren't divorced or even separated because a) they spent Christmas together (proven by Chantal and Jimmy), and b) Alicia clearly didn't know anything about this and was quite rightly upset about it. Even if their relationship was 'on the rocks' that doesn't given him the right to go out and cheat because loads of relationships that have been 'on the rocks' have resolved the problem and remained together. I don't even care that he's dating a fan (although she just looks off to me, like she's untrustworthy, but that's just my opinion on her looks), if he was happy then it would have been fine so long as he wasn't hurting anyone.

Honestly, I'm shocked that it's Mikey who cheated, of all people. Not saying that I could see the others cheating, but I've always had this image of Mikey in my head where he could do no wrong... I'm just surprised and disappointed about everything. I just get back into the MCR fandom and I hear about this. Wow...

I think a great deal of it comes from the LOTMS reel of him; he was depicted as this soul advisor and little brother figure. Those kind of descriptors don't exactly go with infidelity and cheater, haha. I'm sure getting back into the fandom and experiencing this is a great "welcome back."

Well, I think it's pretty official something bad went down because apparently Mikey unfollowed Alicia on Twitter, along with a few other people. Geez, I sound like a teenager talking about facebook relationship statuses.

I had just gotten back into them as well and I saw all of this and I was like...Wait, why is everyone hating on Mikey?! It was a bit shocking but now I'm just sitting back because I refuse to say something on Tumblr and get mauled for it haha.

That is so very true. It's the whole image, and having just gotten back into them and hearing all of this "I'm devastated" "WELL GUESS WHO'S GOING TO CRY WATCHING THE GHOST OF YOU VIDEO?" posts confused me. And then I went on the Mikey Way tag... I'm stunned. And I feel so horrible knowing that Alicia had to find out through twitter.

The one thing that I don't think is a whole "Mikey and Alicia were together during Christmas" mindset, though, were the status' made by both Jimmy Urine (I believe) and Lyn-Z. In my opinion, they were "hate" messages towards Mikey and showing him just what he was missing out on because of the cheating scandal.

And while I normally can't stand Lyn-Z, I'm giving her humongous props for not backing Mikey up and instead going to her best friend and being that sort of savior type.

Has anyone wondered what Gerard thinks of all this? What about Frank? I haven't noticed much on either of their twitters (or maybe I haven't looked hard enough), but I'm starting to think what if Gerard knew?

That is a possibility. The thing with the internet is you can't hear tone so those tweets could be taken either way. However, I will say that in a recent interview with Alicia (obviously not this month recent), she was talking about her marriage and pointing fun at her and her husband's last name. I wonder if I could find it again to back that up. I'm not normally hardcore for Lyn-Z either, but I give her major kudos as well. I like that she stood by her best friend and (now ex) sister-in-law. Girls gotta support each other in times like this, you know? I'm glad Alicia has a strong support system, some girls who are cheated on don't, and it makes it 10x worse.

There are fan rumors that Gerard knew, but I won't say anything on that until there is solid evidence. I wouldn't think anybody would know about it though because it was an affair...affairs are supposed to be secret. You don't tell anybody, not even family, because they are a liability they will tell your significant other. Then again, Sarah was a Dumbo and posted pictures of her affair all over her public instagram and told her own family (but then again she wasn't in a relationship anyway so..? IDK). So, maybe, I don't know. I'm not going to believe the other guys knew until I get solid proof.

Lynz's tweet about Christmas seems genuine (to me) because both Chantel and Jimmy tweeted about it too, with Chantel saying it "was so good!" I do agree that it isn't easy to detect a tone of a tweet on the internet, but from them I believe that Mikey was with Alicia at Christmas along with Chantel, Jimmy and the rest.

And I have actually seen somewhere that apparently Sarah said that Gerard did know and that's why it's "fine" because Alicia and Mikey were having marital problems anyway, but then I've heard/seen so many different things that I'm not believing that someone did or didn't know until we get any news, if we even do.

@ castiel's vessel I wouldn't really credit Mikey or Sarah as credible sources because they are trying to hide their screw up to be honest. I mean she told someone else that there was "NO" cheating involved whatsoever. Why do I find that so hard to believe? Go figure.

Yeah, I figure that. It's why I only say apparently or so they said when I talk about what I've heard/seen from either of the two (although I've only heard things coming from Sarah, unless Mikey has said something which I haven't caught).

And, I was just voicing my opinion that I don't find them credible, haha. I guess in a weird way I was agreeing with your skepticism.
