@ unapologetic. @ castiel's vessel Yay, people remember me! XD And I know you were replying to someone else, but the Danger Days era really was amazing on here. Remember when it was getting close to the release date and we were all listening to Na Na Na on repeat and going crazy with excitement?

I share a lot of the feelings you guys have about this. Part of me knew and expected it, after how weird and distant they've all seemed to be lately, and after the thing with Mikey that was never even spoken about by any of the band. I guess part of me could see they weren't really happy anymore. But at the same time, it wasn't that long ago they were talking about releasing MCR5. Around Christmas time I was getting all excited because there might be a new tour soon and I really wanted to go see them then wait behind afterwards to see if I could get to meet them.

It's like it's a shock, but at the same time, it isn't. I don't really know what to feel to be honest. Sad

I haven't been on here in God knows how long, but since I'd always had such a great time talking to all you fellow MCR fans in this thread, I felt this was an appropriate time to come back, just to say goodbye really I guess. Arms to you all. <3
I feel the same way. I can't remember the last time I was in this forum but I remember this being the first thread I ever went on, and I had such a great time and made a lot of friends. I thought I'd just come on to say, I'm so so grateful this band existed. They taught me so much and I grew up with them, and I'll always love them :)

Anyone seen this? I know it's just a theory, but it sounds like a good theory indeed.

@ castiel's vessel I saw that as well, and while it does make a good theory, I really don't want to get my hopes up. It would hurt even more than actual break up if it proved to be false.

And did you guys see that Mikey commented on his "relationship" and the band breakup first via Twitter?

Yeah, I get that. I don't want to get my hopes up but I just don't know.

And yeah, I saw that. That's like the only thing he's tweeted about anything that's happened recently.

What I'd like to know is if Mikey's drama truly isn't a factor in the slightest then what the heck did bring this on?

And if this is some stunt to completely over-haul the band (which I think is completely bogus) I'd be completely pissed that they put me and the rest of the fan base through this. But as I said I think it's bullshit. I don't believe they'll be gone forever. I don't think they could stay away from the band, but how long it will take them to come back to each other... I could not begin to fathom.

But if it is to over-haul the band and come back with a different name, they would have to announce the end of MCR anyway because it would be the end of the band. I mean, it's been speculated that the record label was the one who posted the announcement on the site which could mean that they separated from the label, and if the label own the rights to My Chemical Romance (which I'm not sure about since they had the name with a previous label), then it means the band called My Chemical Romance is over and done with. It doesn't necessarily mean the band members are.

But of course, we don't know anything yet to confirm or deny what's been speculated.

Straight from the man himself, they are done and this sound a lot more final than I had initially hope.

I'm crying, guys. The first time I've cried since this news. It's just over.

The song "Broken" by seether comes to mind at the moment... after reading that. I'm sobbing.

Am I the only one not crying? Don't get me wrong. I've loved the boys since 7th grade & they are from my town so they mean even more to me than any other band because they got out of Skid Row as I like to call it.

Maybe it's just my Jersey ways, but it doesn't seem very final to me at all. It's seems almost not happy but not a sad ending. It really comes across to me as a new beginning. I feel that out of the ash that once was MCR will rise something greater, but this is what comes first. Maybe what comes next is not MCR, but a heightened, enlightened, and brightened form of a band like MCR.

It was more what Gerard wrote that brought tears to me rather than the finality of their break up. I'm mean, I am sad that they're over but I guess if he no longer enjoyed it, no longer felt pleasure in doing what he used to enjoy, then there was no point in continuing.

Completely understandable. Twelve years is a long time & his story of the stage was quite saddening.

Guess I'm not the only one that's decided to come back now. God, it's been years since I was last on here, but I've been stalking the thread since I found out.

Gerard's message made me cry too, like, I'd felt close to tears after I heard, but when I was reading that, I had to smile at the beginning, then I was like "Shit, this is is, isn't it?" and I just burst into tears :'(

Has anyone seen what Pelissier is doing? He's claiming that he wrote songs from Bullets and the band put a gagging order on him and shit like that. Really? does he have to do this now? >.<

@ Shawty. All the drummers have been doing that for awhile. They pretty much act like bitter exes. That's my opinion anyway...

Matt is dancing on their freakin grave. I mean he's seriously going full fiesta on this shit... o.O
and @Usako I feel as if Bob does not apply to that statement, he seemed to be at peace with splitting with the group, I always felt that he didn't like the attention that the band brought, I don't think he ever wanted to be in the main act and was more content as a recording artist or drum tech.
